At the station I wasn't charged but put in a cell, I asked about my gf and they told me she had gone home, it was only the next day when released and I got home I found out she had walked on her own to the station to ask why I was arrested, they said I was asleep. Nigel Baldwin : There’ll be no disciplinary action Nigel. There was no disciplinary action for Hillsborough, for Orgreave, for the Rotherham child kidnap & gang rape scandal, for the female officer who drove a police car like she’d stolen it and killed a pedestrian in Crookes (Sheffield), or for how the Police colluded with the BBC during the arrest of Cliff Richard, so there’ll certainly not be any disciplinary action for this.
Long Story, bare with me... but its worth it ;) I'm Ex-Army, I don't flaunt it, I left 5 years back due to an incident and injury. A couple of years back I was on the mend still and on crutches. Daytime, I had a knock on the door, opened and it was a Bailiff. I was OK with him, not rude. He said he was after David Something... told him it wasn't me and told how long I had lived there. He asked for my name (rudely), I told him my first name and that I don't give my details to strangers.... blah blah blah... you can see how this is going. Guy had no warrant, no paperwork, just an iPad which apparently contained a warrant... but wouldn't let me see it as I would apparently throw it. Again I told him, I am not the person he is looking for, yet I'm not going to show him my ID as who the F are you to turn up to my door and demand my ID. At this point, it was more principle on his attitude. I'm not a "Free-Man thing" or hater etc, but I didn't do 15 years and get blown up for some d*ck to ORDER me to show my own ID on my own doorstep to a complete stranger. Court (shitty magistrates, it was a parking fine) bailiff or not. Anyway, the guy pushes me back and steps in my doorway (im on crutches remember). I tell him to get the "F out", but I know I can't kick the F out of the guy (one leg I still coulda) as I would be done. I phoned the police, stating me, a disabled person (I'm registered disabled due to leg) had just been blah blah blah, I need someone to get this fool out of my house. 15 mins later and me ripping the mick out of the ginge in my doorway, the police come. They tell me to show my ID, I say no, "this is a civil matter and has nothing to do with you, the only crime here is the guy in my house with no paperwork". I will show it to the police, but not a stranger. They then enter the property too and tell me that "if I do not co-operate with the guy I will be arrested for breach of the peace" and they will leave the bailiff in my property to claim my stuff. I laughed... didn't go down well. I finally defused it all (yeah the disabled person who is already wound up, defused the peace keepers). Told the bailiff to stay still, other police woman to make sure while I shown my ID to the other (more reasonable) officer. They did, I shown one my Army ID (out of date, but still legit as I didnt want anyone to know my other details (MOD 90 is limited info other than name)). I told the officer NOT to give my name or details to the baliff, but they could now see he and they had no grounds to be on my property. So off they scooted with me laughing at them all (2 hours taken but worth the giggles). I put in a normal complaint, I know the process, has to go to senior then if not dealt with I can take it to police complaints, but have to follow the system. The DI gave me a ring a few weeks later while I was in work on my mobile. What I didn't tell them or you, was that after the Army I was snapped up by the NCA. I'm the guy who chases actual crimes like kiddy stuff, human trafficking and drugs on a national level. Anything but terrorist stuff, Met handles that. He tells me how he watched the body footage and nothing was untoward and I was lieing, when asked for a copy he stated its already been overwritten since the complaint has been closed by him. I asked for the next step playing ignorant and he tells me there aint another step, it ends here. (NOT the way it works). So I told him the signal is being lost, could you call me on my work phone hehehe. I know exactly what system they have, I have worked in their offices. I know as soon as he puts that number in, it will tell him who I am or at least my position and place of work. I have NEVER heard a plod change his tune so fast, I could literally hear his ass falling out while he back-peddled on everything. Im not that high up, but my department could rip their entire constabulary to shreds, top to bottom. But the difference... we dont have to measure our F'ing d*cks for the sake of personal 1upmanship. ANYWAY, 1 officer was "let go for administrative reasons", other got a warning and re-schooled for witnessing it and not stepping in and after I had a word with the council... the bailiff lost his Bailiff General Certificate and I waved to the ginger last month stood on a door. I couldnt get the DI, he pinned it on the woman officer. But I did get one the departments to have a word with his SI and I dont think its going to well for him now as the automatic station recording got him fobbing off the complaint. The stupid thing is, its not even corruption like stuff (except to cover their backs). It's not done for money or to get the next ladder with things like this. Its all down to the ego of police who have been given power to abuse for self-gratification. If I could see a motive for money I could even understand... but these idiots do it all... just to show you they can. I have seen it in every 3rd world country in the world, yet here it gets an official stamp.

I noticed that, she immediately claimed that he had impersonated a police officer because of her assumption when he said that he was from Lancashire. Outrageous. I hope she is no longer under the employment of Her Majesty
I like how perfectly he worded what he said on the phone call. It was like something out of a movie. And also, she swore during the call, so guess that means she's committing a "crime" there too then.
I think it could have been better worded, but it was worded well enough. Almost think the responses from her are so outspoken, both parties to take her to court.

You can tell how systemic the problem is from how her instinctive reaction is to try immediately to accuse him of a crime (impersonating a police officer). Standard attempt to knock a member of the public off balance.
I would say, "My name is Mr???, and today, I identify as a Lancashire Police Officer". It is just as "legitimate" as someone who identifies as anything else, in the eyes of the law.

mayorip, therein, "A few words the police don't like," is all the reason your average cop needs to preform a strip and cavity search. Remember, cops don't actually stick their finger in your ass, no, they get some willing doctor to that for them.
I was 15, walking home from a friend's house at 10pm down a country road, an unmarked police car slammed its breaks on and skidded into a fence behind me, I sprinted not knowing who on earth it was as it was pitch black and they had no uninforms on, next thing I know a dogs jumped on my, tearing my jacket sleeve off and again biting me at the side of the head. A brawl ensued between me and the 2 police officers for what felt like half an hour, before being cuffed and thrown in the back of the car. Taken to the station and questioned with all charges against me being dropped as I was 15, this all happened as someone fitting my description, a full 10 years older than me had robbed 3 shops in a 5 mile radius.

The incompetence is strong with this one! The funniest thing I've seen yet.
Long Story, bare with me... but its worth it ;)
I'm Ex-Army, I don't flaunt it, I left 5 years back due to an incident and injury.
