Congratulations on your new beautiful releases. I love the stories and thought processes behind your pieces. My favorite is the Shalom!!! It’s a definite purchase and future stitch. ❤❤❤
I agree with Loreen, it's one of the reasons I love watching your channel. You're so enthusiastic and passionate about the origins of the designs and the history of everything.
Your new designs are so nice!! The Shalom piece is so interesting! I can't imagine how you got the letters to fit all the way around so perfectly! That's a lovely piece. Enjoy your retreat with Grace Notes!
Your new releases are fantastic! There are so many great designers in this community, but you approach it in a slightly different way and it is GENIUS. I work for a company based in Israel and the Shalom design in the Hebrew letters is going to be a great gift. Thanks for all you do for this community.
Arlene!!! I've been waiting for this since I saw you last at the October 2019 retreat. You may or may not remember, but I talked to you about the possibility of designing a pattern based off the geometric/mathematical spiral that some refer to as the Golden Angle. I knew that if anyone could do it, you could. As soon as I saw the thumbnail on this video, I had to immediately watch it. I'm so excited to buy and stitch it!!! There are sooooo many things in nature and space that have this Golden Angle. I encourage you to do more research on it. It's pretty amazing!!
Hi, Andrea - I absolutely remember you from the Oct 2019 retreat! And, I have absolutely no memory of our conversations 😂 I will certainly trust your memory that these geometric ideas were talked about. The golden ratio and golden section certainly a part of my math knowledge (like the book I showed here) but it is interesting to take that to the next step of the golden angle. Thanks so much for stimulating my brain in this world again! Take care!
Now I know why designers are calling for Cosmo. How interesting! I know a ton of needlework stores nearby that carry a full line of Cosmo but not DMC. I never stitch with Cosmo because all charts call for DMC. Definitely a Chicken and egg situation.
I would say basically, yes, 40 count would work for Royal Flair. My only hesitation is about the beads. I used Mill Hill Petite (size 15/0) on this 32 count, as I found the regular size (11/0) too big to my eyes for this design. The petites might feel too big for 40 count. You could simply not add them or just put a french knot in its place. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much - I truly love sharing stories behind my designs and am glad that there are stitchers that are interested in my stories!
That is the most majestic soup bowl I have ever seen. 😱😱😱

Thanks so much! With my math brain (I am a middle school math teacher), I love doing geometrical stuff like this
You are amazing!! These are all stunning and Shalom will be first on my list, it is beautiful as all your designs are. ❤
You're pretty amazing yourself ❤ Thank you so much, always, for all the support and friendship 🙂

Beautiful charts, is royal flair suitable for 40 ct fabric?
