edit : i have more than 5k hours on this game and i love it and still have no idea what's going on
lmao accurate
416 days of the league pog
One of us...
@@No_OneV do you know what's happening?
@@No_OneV its just a joke relax lmao
I've tried getting into Path of Exile a bunch of times. It's one of the most complex games I've played, but even I can see why it's so popular, not every league is a hit but what the development team are able to do in such a short time is impressive to say the least.
Same I have tried getting into multiple times as well but the game seems to cluttered for my liking.
I actually prefer Diablo because it is more simple and clean IMO
A short time? They don't just work on future leagues between league releases. They're already working on the next several when one comes out.
The contrast of the complexity between PoE and other fluff games attract a lot of players
I they made orb of regret respec as many points as u want i would play it... I really dont like leveling new characters just to try new build.
I’m too dumb to play it
I remember playing Poe before it was on steam. It’s epic the evolution this game has gone through. 🎉❤
Vastly different game now than way back haha. But yeah it makes sense when you consider they've consistently updated the game with new content and system reworks every 3/4 months for many years now.
I remember when there were 2 acts xD guys from ggg deserve what they reached do far
Back when Piety was the final boss haha
The only evolution this game has gone through is increasingly stupid clear speeds and irrelevant boring unrewarding league mechanics that are thrown out like hot garbage every new league.
Asmon: I don't want to go back to start and level up again..
Also Asmon: I'll play this for sure once it's available.
I find with PoE as a casual player. I am at act 9. I just kind of wing it and don't look up builds but I am having a ton of fun with this. Well worth the price tag I paid for it. Nothing.
The game doesn't start until the endgame. following a build and playing the game is hard and boring at first, but trust me when you get to the endgame the game just becomes so fucking fun.
The moment you hit the maps is the moment you'll realize that just doing whatever won't work.
Because the map system is the whole end game and you get 5 chances per level. With a bad build you probably won't get further than Tier 4 maps.
@@TheGostboy7 as a new player u dont have to luckily playing the campaign is fun for the 1st and 2nd time but many PoE players played it literally 20+ times thats why they keep saying endgame is the real game XD
@@TheGostboy7 I do. most players that have been playing for years like me need to. I'm not the only one.
@@kylewilzon8612 I believe for many new casuals who look for something with a high complexity system it’s fun to explore by yourself and just be curious about how things can work. Eventually you start watching videos and learning things and how you can optimize a build you wanna play.
Since act 1 til endgame I’ve had so much fun playing PoE
When the weapon tree is more deep and complex than Diablo 4 skill tree
So true
Yet poe has trash mechanics and broken items, game is trash
@@gamerd8709 What? "trash mechanics" what? What do you even mean by that? and "broken items" huh? Yeah, of course some items are better than others, but everyone has the same chance of crafting them, I don't get it, could you give examples or do you just hate for no reason.
@@gamerd8709I know it's confusing for you so you instantly call the game bad. If you need help, you can always watch video guides.
@@gamerd8709 it's not trash but it is very deep and complex, which scares some new players, but thankfully you can craft some gear and also add some affix/suffix.
But still, getting everything by yourself is really hard, you are kinda forced into trading to make the best of your build and currencies.
I'm actually contemplating playing a dual strike build this league.. I haven't played that in probably 5+ years but with all the improvements to strike skills and strike range over the years along with the new mastery changes and existence of that soul eater node I feel like it could be relatively fun (for melee).
Then get ready to be miserable, aghast, and appalled when facing the end-game bosses. 🤣🤣🤣
Not gonna lie looks dope and to think this game isn't AAA and free...like tf!? This has more value then 90 percent of games now
It is free just not AAA
It's better than AAA games
After Diablo 4 beta, I needed something to keep me by...found this game 2 days ago and now I'm enrolled in Harvard just so I can understand the skill tree 😅
It would've been a top-tier meme if GGG put in bigger talent trees into weapons than Blizzard did into D4 characters.

@@jimqjordun6431 why?
@@MATCHLESS789 Nothing cool about even more skill trees in POE which already has too much.
this season is interesting and i will go for summon guardian.
Vaal Reap is going to be terrific. When playing physical CF/Exsanguinate/Reap, single target is your biggest weakness. Getting even more single target out of Reap is going to help a lot.
Yeah thats what i also thought, it might not look too exciting, but it looks like it'll deal a fuck ton of singe target dps
REAP OCCULTIST IS GONNA BE FUCKING CRAAAAAAAAAAAAZY

@@user-ne2zx3nd2k The only "bad" vaal skills are cyclone (still has it's uses), element impurities (useful for some aurabots) and probably storm call, the rest are very good.

I love PoE. I just wish Regrets were easier to find and leveling would switch up a bit with every league. Next League is this Friday (4/7/23).
Just when you thought they couldn't possibly continue to add more skill trees to the game
Ah shit here we go again.
First Impression: 5th node is basicly Lab echants
I Predict the Main value of a Item will come 90% of the time from the First four nodes.
9% of the time people build a build around the 5th node so you buy that node with whatever other Skill tree on whatever Base. (Only the 5th node makes this Item super expensive)
1% of the time you Hit both great and sell it for a mirror+
I think this is true but not for the reason you stated. The reason is because you can't group level items in maps as chris said in the Q&A. So no TFT groups for speed levelling items. You will have to level items for that 5th node yourself
is it bad that I get very excited over new skill trees despite the fact I've only ever made one really good build over 30 characters

Heavy disagree, spell suppression is OP af, mostly attacks are effected by evasion, block whatever to already hit, and the real big hits have a really long windup, where spells can be instant and always hit. Getting a 100% spell suppress isnt a hard thing, and halfing the incoming damage, above the other means to negate damage is just too good.

Asmongold - you have a similar attitude that I have with reactions. I rarely comment but I feel that POE 2 is coming this year. I think the skill tree on the gear is a segue to the new game. Possibly the past patch before POE2
if you search for the release date it clearly says 2024
@@flashcamping But beta will be faster: "July 29 2023 - Exilecon reveals PoE 2 Beta timeline."
@@rokuzzoone5495 so in July they reveal the date, for the beta. nothing saying the beta itself is in 2023, probably closer from 2024 than not.
@@flashcamping Yes, but there is some chance for September if they want early start compete with D4. PoE have plenty and loyal playerbase but it is not big numbers compared how many people will buy or want buy D4. In this time playerbase will be biggest - many what don't play ARPG from years will return to try D4 (and despite if D4 will be big success or not, there will be plenty of people what will dislike D4 and be in mood to try another ARPG - so PoE2 even not be perfect could seriously expand playerbase ).
@@rokuzzoone5495 Imo that's one more motive as to delay it instead of competing with D4.
Much better to be the "new thing" simply after D4 hype, instead of competing for it.
But whatever.
I think we need ingame build suggestions. We need Autobuild Mode: for newbies where masteries and etc are automated towards specific builds, Guided Mode : in this mode we select manually but with guides and Advanced Mode : fully customisable builds.
something they should do for poe 2. poe 1 is kinda set in stone as endgame andy. but poe 2, i hope they give some power and guidance for new players. like diablo 4's aspect system sets a direction a player can go for around a legendary power. there is no guarantee unique or something in poe through story to help level or steer a player to a specific direction, and all the recipes are hidden. the abundance of skills you get early also overwhelms them.
I don't think a system that alters the tree should be in as a guidance thing, but I think just giving some cheap early uniques would be enough for a clueless player to kinda go for something, and gives rerolling a character goals to aim for. new players shouldn't have to look up guides for even campaign, that should only be an endgame thing.
They could do that, the thing is, if you are the kind of person that needs that hand holding at the start, I don't think you will enjoy the game. If you're someone who is happy to invest time into learning the game and failing along the way, you will really enjoy it. No point pretending to be something its not.
@@_Titanium_ suppose thats one angle on the subject. on the other hand, if they had steps that gradually teach the player the systems and such, they might stick around to actually eventually, deep dive into the game properly. unique power spike was just a suggestion to give a player a direction and reason to maybe continue instead oif being aimless/hopeless. it'll entice them to maybe learn the mechanics more to make their build better around said weapon, and get more complex from there.
but the barrier to entry is too restrictive, and poe has gotten away with it for years with little competition, but with d4 and last epoch coming up, i think those will steal away players or POTENTIAL players that might've gaven poe a try but was deemed to complex to double down on. even with this season patch you got lotta people complaining, if they start losing more players than gaining new players, they'll have a problem. and with loss of leveling wands even racer tryhards are complaining and consequently made leveling worse for everyone else.

Best time to buy them is during the stash tab sale which usually happens once every 2 weeks or so. On the bright side, due to it not having a download cost, you can go through at least a portion of the game and figure out whether or not you actually want to spend any money on it, and as a plus side, 40$ is quite cheap compared to most large titles these days.

I'm wondering. How does PoE compare to Diablo IV
Edit: I've played PoE before, albeit only for few hours. My friend introduced me to the game, and created a character with me, then for some reason blasted me through the acts - he doing all the stuff, and me having a hard time trying to catch up to his speed. That basically killed the enjoyment of the game for me.
Then after I made another character, played alone. And jesus, I've spent 3 hours to reach the zone that my friend took 10 minutes or so. Now I wonder if Diablo is same as well.
If you like complexity, POE is probably better than Diablo IV.
Diablo is pretty much the tutorial for PoE. If you like Diablo but want more depth, PoE is for you. Kerp in mind, we are talking about thousenfs of hours to learn only parts of the game
Diabolo is casual
They are 2 extremes in the arpgs genre, d3 which was shallow af , d4 also doesn't seem to deviate a whole lot from that, while POE is like a big bang soup, way too many things running wild, which ends up acting as a huge barrier for new players unlike diablo which is piss easy to get into
Poe is free to play garbage
Is trading in POE more in game now or do you still need to run 3rd party stuff?

i also hear even though poe is free, you have to pay for chest slots for inventory which is odd.

@@jnm92 Its a great game, I don't want to complain here. I just think I might be getting too old for this lol
Idk sometimes yeah you can flop the build, but while you level and reach that flop, you get cool Unique gear and it's super easy (at least personally) to go "aight nvm, I wanna try these new items I just got", you make a new character and make some cool ones to play. I have a lot of alts and some of them are just a slam dunk and really fun to play. There's so much possible build options that it's easy to jump from one to another and it hardly feels old.
Now if all you wanna do is push endgame, yeah it's very probable that you get frustrated bc optimization is very important for endgame but hey, real optimization is the fun we have along the way, or whatever.
In the end yeah, it's all different for everyone, but I like to share some optimism for the game, I'd like people to be less afraid of the games complexity. It's a dog that looks like it bites, but you just gotta know how to get along with him, and when you do, it fucking pays off.
Have a good day :)
@@BarackObamerHimselfEXCLUSIVE I've gotten to the endgame once on a character and while the beginning wasn't too frustrating, it's when you get to the mid/endgame that it really lays it on thick. It's like meeting your highschool bully after class, except he's kicking the ever living shit out of you because you deviated a bit too much on your build. I know I did a lightning build of some sort that carried to me to 'Near' endgame and I sort of just stopped. Fun for what it was though.
No respec = no play.
@@Buruleque respec could make the game massively faster to play, and it would lessen the fun value of making alts. But I do like having to start from zero for each build, to understand it and decide what each build needs, instead of getting all the points back and not knowing what to do with all of them. It gives you time and enough fights to decide "this is what I need to add, these ones don't work, so I use a couple of orbs of regret and get those specific problematic points refunded". Having all the points back would be imo more overwhelming than having to start a new character: you make a totally different build, but you're at lv90 and it doesn't work, but you can't really identify what is actually causing the problem so "aight total respec" and hopefully this time you get it right cause otherwise you'll have to respec again.
But yeah, it should be an option because QoL and players kinda have the right to do it
