Kids must have written the script. They mixed up Fall Guy with Magnum PI.

Love letter to the stunt community finally happening with awesome meta commentary when seeing all the TV spots.
Why do I get the feeling this movie could end up being this years Top Gun Maverick, Oppenheimer or Barbie, a surprise billion dollar hit and possibly Universal next big franchise.
Nobody knows why you get that feeling. .

Nothing wrong with a good old throwback to the days of ‘80s-‘90s action flicks & a nice love letter to the stunt community; that’s something both Leitch and Chad Stahelski (yes I know he’s not involved, but deserves a shout-out) have done well with in their respective films (since they co-directed the first John Wick)

I saw this yesterday - loved it. It was definitely a complete dedication to the stunt guys and gals! It also takes a poke at Dune, Mad Max (fury Road), Hollywood Stars, Producers and the biz in general. It's also kind of meta - it's like a film in a film of a film. Also - DO NOT LEAVE WHEN THE CREDITS ROLL!
The sound track is awesome - really fit the scenes the songs were featured in.
Stunts need to be added to the Oscars imho - Male, Female, stunt and/or sequence awards.

The nw fallguy film should be based on the classic TV series which was great but it is nought like it at all and Hollywood need to stop remaking the 80s tv series into films because it completely ruins them

Je viens de voir le film, j'ai vraiment aimé cette combinaison d'action,de cascades et de romance même en français les punchlines fonctionnent,le public rit,je trouve que c'est un film qui fait du bien et on en a besoin,le couple Gosling Blunt est à croquer et malgré le nombre de bande annonces diffusées il reste plein de surprises 💙💙

The Fall Guy had Lee Majors as an older stunt man who was a bit broken down. We've lost the original Die Hard where the action takes a toll on main character which elicits empathy. Captain America can fall from a building and get up. Maybe a love letter to stunt men should include their bodily sacrifices more throughout. Have him lose occasionally but use his experience and knowledge to recover. Haven't seen the movie but from this review it sounds like more superman than stunt man.

Actually Ryan is the same age as Lee Majors was in the TV show. Both in their 40's. But Emily Blunt is too old for Jody in the TV show.
The German title for the tv show fall guy was "a colt for all occasions"

Yes, Gosling and Blunt are charming leads, but the whole film feels like a pantomime TV commercial masquerading as a real film like the mock DUNDEE movie.

@@Mattdog54 the stars, that’s what attracts the fans who’s watching this remake one of my top five greatest tv series in the 80’s. I loved the fall guys show but they won’t release the complete series but keep releasing the unwanted shows that was okay. Wished they could release BJ Mc Kay and the bear and the fall guys together, I would purchase right now. I purchased six million dollars man & bionic woman series already and the Incredible Hulk series and Duke of hazards series but now just needed those two series to complete my childhood memories. Those are just the start but a few more series will pop up in my memories.

@@LucyLioness100 the problem is people nowadays think EVERYTHING is ONLY for THEM. So, if something isn't for them or EXACTLY the way they wanted it, they think it's "trash". Like all those people saying, "who asked for this?" not realizing most of the things they think are great they never "asked for".
@@careypridgeon exactly. People should just take things on the merits of what's presented, instead of carrying their baggage in or trying to destroy it. MANY remakes are superior or as good as the originals, including ones people don't even know are remakes, like the one you mentioned.
My wife and I just saw this movie. Great concept but not worth your time and money. Undeveloped characters, slow and contrived, mostly not funny, and when the best part is the dog and music score - you got a problem.
