what about bottom composition feature? Great tutorial! I have to watch several times though. Give me some info on bottom hardness & vegetation features!
Can all of the Hook2s generate chart depth maps to upload to CMaps? Im getting the idea that the 5x and 7x cannot? What about using downloaded depth maps, can they be used on all the Hook2s except 5x and 7x? Thanks
Hi. The sound audio stops from 10.40 onwards. Can you possibly rectify? I really would like to hear the audio along with the video presenters. Many thanks Cameron

Is that a "Mini" SD card or a "Micro" SD card your putting in the slot? I hear you say Mini SD card in the video, but when I call the Lowrance support they say it should be a Micro SD card… (I´m confused what to order..)
Great feature however C-MAP need to make this process more seamless. Taking SDCARD home for upload is a pain. Is there not someway of uploading from my hotspot connected GSM in real time?
Yes, you can make a genesis live map at the same time as you record a sonarlog. And you can then upload the sonarlog to genesismaps.com and contribute to Social Map.
HDS-7 live only comes with a Navionics base map. Effectively useless. You have to buy Navionics micro SD with, thats $175aud for the plus card and $369aud for platinum card. Plus yearly subscription(updates, community features) $35. Navionics (from a tablet/phone with Navionics installed) does direct sync with hds-7, though I can't test this. Cmap can link hds-7 to tablet/phone cmap app, but it does it in a clumsy way using pc Web page. Cmap $40 yearly for tablet app.
@@CMAPnavigation thanks. Do I need to take out the discovery chip . The aerial views for a shallow water running in the Everglades and Florida Bay don’t seem to be working as clear as I thought. I have the Cmap revel chip. Do I need to do something in the set up? I had the phot overlay on .

If these maps are for free anyway why make it so complicated??? I have 3 units on my boat and for every unit I have to download each single map seperately because of the unique ID`s for each unit. Very easy to lose track which memory card goes in which unit. Really stupid if you ask me! For the rest great feature but this sucks, sorry.
Lowrance has the worst costumer service of any unit on the market if you have a problem your out luck trying to deal with lowarnce please consider this before you buy

Cmap is missing a major freshwater lake that I fish. They said they will look into this. Navionics has the lake on their map.

I use the HDS Live 9" , year 2019 .

The logs are too big to be uploaded on the fly.
So can I record my sonar and do mapping at the same time?

Shame just get to the part others don’t tell you about the uploading etc. and there’s no audio shame, spoilt what looks to be a good detailed review
