It worked. For schoolboys and adults alike.
Music is expensive. The theme and a group of "cues" was recorded when the series started. Introduction to scenes of various sorts , transitions, etc. Then, for each episode the music editor would choose music from the stock of recordings and cut it together for the program. They may have added from time to time but all the music and most of the sound effects are stock, cut together for the episode. Some sound effects were probably recorded for each episode, footsteps etc but mostly stock.

But the US culture has a sodo complex, and coy about it, praising females instead for their "beauty" all the time, even when they are plain looking or even outright ugly.

It’s worth a lot more now than it was then. 10-4.
Most US police departments in 1955 drove Ford Mainline sedans. The only difference was that most of them were 2-door sedans as opposed to the 4-door in this episode. Next weeks case is a very exciting one, next weeks case is a very unusual case, Hmm they are good, but not unusual. I guess for most of late~1950~early to mid~1960 America these were unusual and exciting crime stories. Most of America even into the 1970's could leave their doors unlocked. Today, even if you are locked up like Ft.Knox, someone will get in. If someone wants in, they will find a way and get in.
I accidentely left my back door unlocked last night and no one broke in . Now I wonder if I should be offended because my place didn't look like it was worth breaking in to.

New where the entertainment industry was going when they made the, Dirty Harry and the Godfather movies neither one was good . Didn't care for all the violence moved out of gutter neighborhoods to get away from that crap , cost me a lot of money but I got me and my kids out of it , and the movies made about that kind of violence don't impress me and they only create problems .I was in my early 20's when these movies came out .
And I still think those kind of movies are garbage and actors and actresses can't act very good these days !!
"Who would want to kill a fruitpicker?" Hard ways to make a buck; piicking fruit and killing fruitpickers.
Interesting to see how those cars lurched back and forth when being braked, etc. New cars don't do that.
Suspensions were designed for a soft ride, not for performance.
That insurance guy seemed like a barrel of laughs.
Mr. Banning was certainly a far cry from “The Man with the Action-Packed Expense Account, Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.”
Finally! A 4 door cop car!
Back in the day, when roadblocks actually worked! Now there’s too much traffic to deal with and minimal resources.
yep …Screw 2022 give me Brodrick, 1956 👍🏼 or black n white Dragnet or Johny Dollar 😎. yeah , i’ve seen enough of 2022🙁
2023 appears to be going just as bad.

" A careless driver isn't driving his car when he has Amphetamines "
Ok so at the first killing with the blonde guy how did the fat store keeper get back to town/ or his place......he rolled the car off the road....did he just happen to leave another car around the corner......or did he Hitch hike back.....🤔
suspend all belief fellow crime fighters! Broderick Crawford -academy award winner on patrol!!
Maybe he hitchhiked?
Why was Matthews demoted from a Buick to a Ford in this episode?
Ty
Next weeks case is a very exciting one, next weeks case is a very unusual case, Hmm they are good, but not unusual. I guess for most of late~1950~early to mid~1960 America these were unusual and exciting crime stories. Most of America even into the 1970's could leave their doors unlocked. Today, even if you are locked up like Ft.Knox, someone will get in. If someone wants in, they will find a way and get in.
I accidentely left my back door unlocked last night and no one broke in . Now I wonder if I should be offended because my place didn't look like it was worth breaking in to.
I came back here to fall asleep watching these. haha I had to laugh at your reply. You know, I never thought about that one. haha Now, I will. haha We laugh but you know as well as I we both are thankful we haven't been broken into.
@NPCs U Can’t Laugh _____ Bahahaha Door mat at my back door "My favorite things are guns and sleeping late; still want to knock?" (Visible security cameras probably help too.)
That is true. Great Program even today though..
