That must be a cold position to be in when you're blackballed. I didn't know that all record execs from each labels were coo' with each other. And Auntie Miki, bae we gon have to find you a new wig 'cause chile.....
It's really a small industry. Even back then, most execs would go from one label to the other. Most labels were subsidiary labels of bigger labels. For instance when Miki went to Giant records, Giant was a sub label of Warner Brother records, so no one at Warner would sign her. Another example was Elektra records which was Anita Baker's label. It was a branch of Atlantic records (which Miki was originally signed to). So she probably wouldn't have been sign to Elektra (which had Natalie Cole, Angela Winbush, Lisa Fischer during that early 90s). Which is a shame, because Miki deserved the push of a big label like Whitney had with Arista.

exactly, looks can be deceiving...
he looks just like his mom. nothing like mj. any guy can slim down and arch his brows and say he's mi's son then.
I have a theory why MJ never publicly admitted to having this child. The industry is very 'image driven', MJ has a perfectly carved image and he was a role model for a lot of young people. Plus, he was a Jehovah's witness at the time. Having a baby out of wedlock and being a Jehovah's witness at that time wasn't good at all. Throw it all together and we can see why the family agreed to keep the child a secret. The revelation could have totally ruined MJ's pure child like image, brought shame to the Jackson family and he could have lost a great deal of his fan base due to such a scandal.

she's always been light skinned
it depends on the lighting also....i'm lighter than she is but she looks really high yella here and she's not.

Honestly she was probably blackballed based on having the kid of a Jackson. Particularly Michael's son this is Billie Jean. MJ would have never wanted that to truly come out.
