- We bring you the concluding parts of this great work by George Frideric Handel. These parts are set to the suffering, death, resurrection, ascension, and glorious 'rulership' of our LORD Jesus Christ.
Sit back, listen, reflect, and enjoy the Gramophone Chorus treats us to the beautiful pieces of the work, amidst occasional reflective calls by Mr. Theo Aryee.

Not because you are one of us, but I am absolutely sure that this is one of the loveliest presentation of Handel's Messiah that I have ever heard. So far, I have listed to all three parts for about the sixth time since I found it on my favourite UA-cam. I'm blessed and will continue to listen to and tell others about it.❤😊
I have listened to almost every recording of Handel's Messiah - from Asia to North America. I also know EVERY one of its choruses and its solos off by heart! But this from my very own homeland Ghana has left me totally floored and inexplicably emotional! Bravo to this exceptional choir, and to the most exceptional soloists, not to mention the amazing instrumentalists, and most of all to the genius conductor who put all this together! BRAVISSIMO!
The more I listen to this choir I really like the Trumpeter and his energy to awake the dead in Christ. O praise the Lord for the true gospel. We should picture the mighty Angel's trumpet for the entire world to hear that all who love God awake from the grave sleep and be caught up in the air to be with the Lord forever. 1 cor 15 vs 51-58
Throughout the world Christians sing praises to God our creator our redeemer our Savior. Thank you for this wonderful rendition of Handel’s Messiah. Praise the Lord and may He bless you to keep singing His praises!
You are an inspiration. A truly African pride. Couldn't hold my tears. Greetings from Burundi.
Dear Jesus, what would you like to tell these beautiful people?
I am Jesus. I inspired George Fredrick Handel, I inspired you, and now you inspire the world.
AMEN!!! Praise the Lord!
Nothing beats the singing of true believers in Christ-not even the absence of an orchestra. I love the introduction when the preacher said: If you don't have already accepted Christ as saviour, do it now. The music and singing is not only a great piece of art, but also a great confession of deep faith. Bravo to the soloist on "He was despised"! I have never heard such a deeply felt solo. His voice is amazing. A singing preacher!

That Amen rendition is enough to raise the dead.
Bravoooo ,an orchestra of Yamaha keyboards.
Psalm 150
1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
God bless from Oregon, USA!
World Class choir and soloists. The keyboards are ideal as they do not overcome the soloists as often the baroque groups do.
Handel wrote this in England at a time when counter tenors and altos were common in opera ,too. This tradition is carried on in the Anglican Cathedral choirs and Cambridge Kings College Chapel ...see The King'sSingers. This young man He was despised would have held his own with them like Iestyn Davies ( Welsh singer)
Wonderful - a very special thank you to everyone singing, the keyboard players, the backing players, the technicians and everyone involved in this wonderful rendition. Thank you so much and God bless you all.
Tremendous! Excellently conducted! Trumpeter congrats! Drummer very good! Soprano, tenor soloists etc! I am blessed several nights listening. I am blessed spiritually! I'm a professor of music from Jamaica, graduate from 2 London colleges. Hearty congratulations! The blessings of Messiah Jesus Christ be on each of you. Your faces reflect the joy of the Lord. Forgot to commend the great skill of the keyboard players! Absolutely great!
The trumpet shall sound❤
The most breathtaking and poignant performance of Handel’s Messiah I have heard. I have listened to hundreds of them. Participated in my fair share of the exhausting performances of this exacting music. The male alto solos literally make me weep. Alarmingly beautiful.
Excellent in every respect. Thank You all. God bless.
Proverbs 22:29, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business. He shall stand before kings. This chorus can truly stand before kings....
Awesome. Heavenly. Cant wait to sing to Jesus Worthy is the Lamb. May our God bless this Choir and Choir Master and Team. May God bless the whole of Ghana for uplifting the name of our Messiah soon to come for us. Stay Safe and Blessed. I love listening to you it is very humbling and uplifting time.
Wonderful, really enjoyed the spoken words by the pastor.
It's hard to believe this piece of music is 248 yrs old. This is probably the best I have ever heard.
I have no words to describe how blessed I've been by your choir. God led me again today to listen to several of your Utube videos. I am a Pastor since 1965 preaching in schools 5 days weekly in Jamaica. Now in US in a Creole church about to lead a week of prayer October 2 - 6. The same God you worship & exalt will be exalted. Thank u a thousand & more times. You were not merely performing but ministering the Word of God!
I CANNOT REMEMBER HEARING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION OF HANDEL'S MESSIAH FOR AT LEAST TWENTY TO THIRTY YEARS! I JUST CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS PRESENTATION BY THE GRAMOPHONE CHORUS! WELL DONE! PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR SUCH EXCELLENT MUSIC! MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES PROSPER EVEN AS YOUR SOULS PROSPER IN CHRIST, AMEN.
I have listened to the Gramophone Chorus with unabated joy! Bravo! I listen to The Messiah all year round, not just at Christmas. The pastor or speaker who spoke was so on target I almost cried. How can anyone listen to your voices and not accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord?! Your diction was the best I have ever heard. Not only have I attended many performances, sang in The Messiah, but I own two CD versions. The four soloists were wonderful. The high tenor singing alto was amazing. The trumpeter and the base at the end gorgeous. The four keyboards mimicked an orchestra so well I kept looking for them. It wasn't until a wide shot at the end when I saw horns and drums were the only orchestra on site. This began because I wanted to bookmark hymns on my tablet and phone, because our church sings less and less of them. My journey took me from the USA to England, Scotland, Wales, India, and to Ghana. I have visited churches from the Church of England to Baptist to Methodist to Catholics. Some were children choirs, some adult congregations and some like your Chorus in Ghana. So I thank you for this performance where God was praised! Blessings!
So sad to hear I am not the only one suffering from the dearth of hymns in churches. Bookmarking them is a splendid idea. I think I will do the same! God Bless!
Great counter-tenor in the performance. Quite unusual.
🙏🙏🙏
I useHandel’s Messiah year round for personal devotions and this is the most moving rendition I have heard. It feels authentically faith-based andso much richer even than performances by major orchestras, for example, London or Vienna, where the resources are virtually unlimited. The commentary of narrator makes clear the eternal sweetness of the scriptural message contain in these words. Bravo to the soprano who has the purest and sweetest voice!
Glorraayyyy!!!
I had several attacks of goosebumps but it's all to the Glory of God
Roy, you are not alone
Let us break their bonds catastrophic
@@GramophoneGhana
I had "goosebumps" as well and sorry I'm just finding this great presentation. :)
Great!! The choir smiling and happy while is singing is wonderful!
Great LORD- great choir- great orchestra- you did great- with love from Austria
and from The Netherlands
I have no words to describe the emotions that this interpretation aroused me. Too bad for the absence of the orchestra, but the choir and soloists are wonderful and the keyboards are excellent in their role as vice-orchestra.
that is exact : these people are be able now to play the baroque and romantic musique from Europe with the exact instruments ( violon , alto, cello , basse , flute , haut-bois , trumpet etc ) with the same talent and faith . I'm sure of that . They must stay also african people with theirs owns customs . why not ! exactly as Coree /Japan . we must to help these countries in theirs countries if it is their wish . i am free
I don't think you need an orchestra. If God blesses you with one, to God be the glory.
I'm surprised and at the same impressed by the improvisations on the orchestra.
@@eliaskorcia9489 If I was just hearing this I would not have thought that an orchestra was not playing. The trumpet man alone is several orchestras of trumpets.
@@eliaskorcia9489 God is good and gives talent and one uses what they have. In heaven we are given a HARP by faith I will be there no entire orchestra needed to praise our God. Well done Ghana God is with you. Despised Africa belongs to God for He created all. Thank you Jesus for your blood shed for all human kind.
Gripping emotional rendition of this classic. I come back to hear this from time to time (not just at Christmas) and it gets better at every hearing. Passionate, reverential interpretation by every participant in the performance: from the lector, to the conductor, to the fantastic musicians, and especially the soloists!
The best version of the Messiah I have EVER heard. Extremely moving. I am going to listen to this over and over again.
The first time I have heard He Was Despised sung by a counter tenor. Strange but beautifully tender.Bravo!
I believe that he is considered a “male alto” as he is singing in falsetto voice.
GOoooorgeous. Standing in awe of the sheer power. . . . 😵
I had goose bumps multiple times.listening ti this.
Of all the audio i have listened of thr messiah this is by far the most touching..
Your soprano solo needs deserves award
So beautiful, professional, extremely great fearing, glorifying
The Lord Jesús Christ Almighty
What a magnificent performance? Fabulous voices, praise be to Messiah the King of kings, Lord of lords! You have really done an awesome work here. kudos to all involved! I wish you all the best. It's a miracle that Handel completed the musical arrangement in less than 2 months.
Fantastic use of God-given voices and the Word of Jesus Christ!
The Hallelujah Chorus........wow! Bloody fantastic!!
Nos meus 73 anos de vida, ainda não havia participado de tão linda, reverente, solene e maravilhosa apresentação dessa que é a mais importante obra para cultura o nosso " KING of KING ". PARABÉNS a todos !
Praise God. Proud Ghanaian here
My goodness, this is a thing of beauty. We serve such an awesome God!
These words came from the Bible, but can you believe the music and the words that Handel chose back in the 1740’s are still so relevant???
I am so happy for your church and your chorus. I listen to this one movement of this whole work of Handel over and over when I am going through something and am in a dark place.... it reminds me that the Lord is IN CHARGE! And He is so great and we are so small!!! (I mean that in the best way!). I can’t believe our Lord loves us so much!
For the Lord God OMNIPOTENT reigneth!!! And he shall reign forever and ever!
AMEN!!!
Truly, this was one of the most lovely and beautiful versions I have ever heard. Your chorus didn’t sing it like a project- they sang it like they believed every word- so wonderful, and so powerful.
I congratulate you all on this success. (Glory to God) It’s difficult to keep something from hundreds of years ago relevant. Thank you so much for this amazing gift that you posted for all of us.
Really great job, chorus! Just gorgeous!
All nations shall praise Him , our God, through the eternal ages . May the Gramaphone choir be blessed and be among those who will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb around God’s throne.!!!!
@@dennisalleyne6858Amen and Amen 🎉
Have now listened to complete work. Wow, what a performance. A lot of work has gone into attaining this standard. Hope there are other videos of choral works by this choir.
Sherwin Scott: Beautiful rendition of this inspirational masterpiece of song and music. God certainly enjoys it. All about the Beloved Son, Jesus Christ
What a brilliant choir.
i think the same thing : nikel
Wonderful ! Inspiring, Uplifting, This is the second time listening to this Magnificent piece of music.
AAAAAWWWWEEEESSSOOOOMMMEEEE!! I sang with you and rejoiced!!
Jesus is Lord
Glory be to God most highest
Praise be to our Messiah!
Indeed shall all nations praise Him! Quite heart lifting.
The trumpet shall sound got me so much goose bumps. Good one to the bassist
Rejoice in the Lord (Jesus) always and again I say rejoice! A blessed part of ur 2020 Christmas season. Thank you!
Greetings from Kaleidoscope Choir, Canberra Australia. You are an inspiration!
Excellence continues unabated! These are some of the most sublime interpretations ever heard of Master Handel's great work. Bravo!!! Gramophone Chorus!!! Bravissimo!!! Bravissimo!!!
Now my favourite performance of Messiah. As by man came death - chills! All the choruses are superb. What an amazing experience to hear this.
This choir does such amazing work with G. F. Handel's great use of Scripture, written in less than 30 days.
🙏
Wonderful introduction. emphasis on the message for the conversion of Christian.
I've listened to this whole oratorio 3 times in the past 3 days, and have been greatly blessed every time. Because I know it so well, as I've sung it many many times and listened live almost every year since a young child, I am very familiar with almost every note. This is an amazing rendition of a glorious and much-loved part of "my" Christmas. The soloists, keyboards, and chorus all have done an amazing job. In these times of not being able to sing with my choir this is next best. Thank you and God bless each and every one.
Brilliant, exquisite. I can't imganie the work you put in to have an African choir sing the whole of Messiah. And to have an alto sang by a male voice is beyond amazing. And all the soloists, wow, wow! I sang alongside the Bass in, the trumpet shall sound. I will bring this to my country. With love from Kenya. 🇰🇪🇰🇪❤️❤️
Thanks to Mr Trumpeter...excellent work. U r my favorite. I listen morning & night in my devotions. Of course am blessed by all other soloists. I almost feel like I know u all. Blessings!
I mean the choir is my favorite.
Nice one, would love to see this choir perform when I come to Ghana.
Thank you for what you've said. Poignant statement.
Absolutely brilliant. I know that..,stunning & superb voice. Pity the incessant ads interrupt a soloist. The advertisers have no clue as to where to place their ads. No brains. Could listen to this performance over & over.
Mesmerising performance. Congratulations!!
Excellent! Just due respect. Thank you for this.
great work, absolutely loved it and shared it with others... so much work went into this and to have a few guys playing the music usually performed by a full blown orchestra is amazing. excellent, just excellent!
The bible can be brutal in places but Sam Yawson makes it so sentimental and emotional in this passage.
First time I've heard the adjective _'brutal' used to describe the Holy Bible!😂
@@DorothyDanso-lt2ez It is no longer the case that the bible is inerrant but rather what moral and ethical extraction can be recovered from the pages to match our ancestral African integrity.
@@georgeablordeppey4067 The Bible is not supposed to match or verify our utterly demonic African ancestral traditions. The Holy Bible is The Word of The Living God and shows us the way to worship the only True and Living God, who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything that is in it.
Disappointing, very disappointing. Our culture and traditions have kept our societies on the straight and narrow for generations until a band of adventures stepped on our shores and as Archbishop Tutu put it, they carried the Bible and they asked us to kneel down and pray to the almighty; when we got up they had the land and we had the bible. By stripping us of our humane nature we yielded to torture and slavery under the guise of spiritual humility. So far I see that they've won but the trajectory of science and technology and democracy dictates that the future for our children and grandchildren should be far improved. Which of the African gods has created eternal enmity between man and serpent, sent his forces to exterpate children, disabled a person . he could not outwrestle.? Which African God drowned the whole world population save for 8?
Thank you! Praise God!
How can I find you guys when I visit Ghana? Your group is small but you sing as if you are 10,000 voices. Where the other voices are coming from - from heaven?
GLORY BE TO GOD. Here AT LAST....woow u all made my RESURRECTION SUNDAY GREAT. Kudos GC. Blessings.
We bless the GOD
The voice production is excellent. The whole rendition is beautiful. This is the best I've heard in West Africa
What a wonderful choir!!!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 speechless. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Bravoooo.
And nice sound 👌
The looks at the girls face on the far right at 1.32.31mins brought heaven Finally down. Waoooo this was beautiful and a moment
The trumpet can barely match the basso, l love it. Wonderful.
It' s a true and deep joy both hearing and seeing !Choir , solos and other musicians are wholly committed , bodies and souls .Wonderful rendition. As for me, you're ready to perform Bach Passions and Oratorios
Bach is written in German, no one understands anything and his music doesn't hit much. Handel is much more exciting.
Splendid!👌🔥🔥🔥
What an awesome🌟 job the keyboardists did in presenting the music for this performance! The choir sang divinely and the soloists all did very well👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The conductor has to be especially commended 🎖for keeping it all together. Good job also by the other musicians. I love Handel's Messiah and thoroughly enjoyed this performance. The readings by the moderator were also delightfully poignant🎗 TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY🙌🏽🌺 - Enjoying from The Bahamas 🇧🇸 😀
This is like a heavean to me
This is such a genuine experience. Wonderful.
Nice chorus, wonderful production 👏
