    I just got the masseter Botox for my teeth grinding that triggers migraines. It has already really helped so my 20 year old daughter did it as well since she gets the same migraines. The plastic surgeon said he does it for all the tooth grinders that work for the practice. We are both a bit concerned about it messing with our face shape but if it can take away 5 migraines a month from our chronic migraines we will both be celebrating/not caring if we look a smidge weird. I feel a bit weird about my 20 yr old daughter getting it but my disabled cousin was given it as a child to treat one of his conditions. I also do my forehead to take down my migraine pain. I don’t like the way it makes me look but living at a 5 pain level versus a 7 daily is worth it.

    Doing it once for "trial" and then after a few months being insecure of my natural fine lines is the biggest fear I have.

Just got my 2nd ever botox (from a double board certified MD)... my results are flawless. Moral of my story: The injector's knowledge of how to apply it, makes or breaks it. -Don't give up. • @jaydenstv3547
      @jaydenstv3547 Рік тому

      @@peisunling3519I suspect yes, I have similar problem, used neuropathic pain killers but decided to address the root cause which is maloclussion, my jaws are misaligned and caused TMJ issues, I have suffered for 4yrs plus and my life was difficult.
      2 weeks ago I got metal braces after 4 extractions, the relief i feel on my jaw and shoulders are incredible and I have 2yrs to see additional changes. Bruxism damages the jaw, botox might help because it will paralyse those muscles but explore other more 'permanent" treatments.

      It is unusual, but there is a small percentage that have Botox last a very long time. The longest I've read about in medical literature was around 2 years before it started wearing off.
      There's also the part where if the muscles are paralyzed substantially for long enough by Botox, they'll be weaker and smaller when it wears off. This can make it seem like the Botox is still active when it's actually just muscle loss/atrophy. For frown lines it's not a bad thing, but it can be problematic when administered in other areas for migraines, lazy eye, spasticity, cervical dystonia, overactive bladder, or back pain for example.
