So basically Michael became like a rockstar and one of his hits is about his angsty break up with his highschool boyfriend/ best friend for 12 years (which ever way you wanna take their relationship)
For me it was a memory of when me and some friends were taking a road trip in the summer with The windows rolled down, and all around us was crop fields as far as the eye could see. And we were blaring this song on repeat
Damn just looking at Michael at stage just made me think about this: He turns on t.v Guess who he sees Headphones boy rockin' up MTV He calls up his friends They already know And they've all got Tickets to see his show He tags along Stands in the crowd Looks up at the man that he TuRnEd dO-oOoOwN....!!!
Ik there's probably a story behind this but since I don't know it I'm gonna make up one real quick?? Basically boyfs used to date, but if we're sticking to realistic things here then let's say that Jer met Squip as a person and squip proceeded to make Jer 'second guess' michael's feelings and thought that he was 'glad' it was over n shit like that. Michael does the thing you'd expect of a teen, aka write an angst song abt it that gets discovered on UA-cam by some bigwig producer and boom, career. I'm guessing this is the first time they've met face to face in a long while, so maybe after getting discovered Michael just yote outta there? Also why not, this song is the first angsty song Michael wrote in the first place, and since Jer had blocked out all things Michael (no thanks to Squip), this is his first time hearing it (AND REALIZING WHAT IT MEANS!!). How off was I? Though that's just an idea ^-^ maybe I'll get around to writing a fic using that same premise, idk. I'll def link this if I do tho :D
