Just got home from hospital just after knee replacement surgery. Kind of keyed up so my husband found your video for me to watch! I just had surgery on my knee, I would love to stitch a bee! Also would love to stitch the Christmas sampler on beautiful fabric!

I am the first of a long generation of Dutch to be born in the US.
Besides cross stitching I also enjoy quilting, knitting, punch needle and spinning wool.

Congrats on doing a video I like 4 and 3 .My son was a dispatcher for several years maybe 10 he is now a software engineer for a 911 software company they make the 911 software for cities he travels at times for his job it’s turned out to be a great. I tell people be so thankful for dispatchers they spend a lot of hours helping get help out. Holidays and over nights. So everyone really needs to be thankful it’s a hard job. I’m in Utah so I got o Shepherds Bush often. Take care........

It is a linnen but without any softner used - I am working on a smaller piece and it is not as nice as other fabrics but much more enviromental friendly made.

Fun first video! Hello from Rapid City, SD. Cross stitch is my first love, but 2 years ago, my mother and aunt taught me to knit - and that has been a wonderful bonding experience with those 2 ladies. You do lovely work on interesting pieces. One of my current WIPs is a Told in the Garden as well - Amish Quilts. It's so pretty and bright. Looking forward to Floss Tube #2!!

Having trouble with super stiff fabric?? Just wash it. Even if the stiching is already undrerway. You will then have sidt fabric and enjoy stitching more.
I'm going to do that. Its such a fun stitch too

Great first video - you are a natural! We moved from So Cal 14 years ago to SW Missouri north of Branson in the Springfield area and love it. You get all four seasons but mild, friendly people, beautiful country and super cheap property. There are a bunch of Californians that go to our church.
Hi Stacy! Good job with your first video. #1 & #4 would be great! I am a SoCal stitcher too! I really hope we get to meet in person some time. I am not sure if you know that even though the overnight retreat is full there is still the option to be a day visitor. I intend to go on Saturday if at all possible. That option closes in a few days so check it out. I haven't been able to attend any of the weekly meet-ups but look forward to when I can. You did great!! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more. One tip that I will give you is that instead of using tape on your fabric go over to Joann's and buy Fray check. It is in the sewing section and you put it on the edges of your fabric and it prevents it from fraying. I am currently in Western Minnesota. Hubby and I are full time Rvers and spending the summer here. We originally lived in Florida and needed to escape so sold everything and hit the road.
