- We install Holley EFI Gauges in our 1974 C10 Square Body. Blake and Lucky Costa yank out the old cluster and custom fab a nice fitment of the new gauges keeping the stock look but utilizing current technology by Holley.

Just because you demand the most sophisticated electronic fuel injection technology available on the planet doesn't mean that you can't appreciate the subtle sophistication of a beautifully crafted analog gauge. In fact, purists know that while some information is well displayed in digits, other information is nearly worthless if you can't get a feel for the rate of change from the sweep of a needle.
If that paragraph describes you then your gauges have arrived. Holley EFI's new Analog Display Gauges use digitally-delivered information over Holley's sophisticated CAN bus but use a traditional sweep display. And while you can appreciate the beauty of nice analog gauge it is important to understand the additional benefits.
First, these all get their information from the Holley ECU, meaning that you don't have to run wires all over the vehicle to get the information you need. You get everything from the ECU itself.
Second, because it uses Bus communication technology, all you have to do is run a single CAN bus harness to the ECU and then daisy-chain the gauges. Did you ever think that installing gauges could be so easy?
And just take a look at that mounting system. Remember the old style gauges where you had to fumble with a pair of tiny nuts up behind the dash to install the gauge? Those days are gone and good riddance! These gauges feature a threaded body that allows a single bezel nut to hold the gauge firmly in place. Too easy.

Holley needs to make a 6 piece kit. I'm not going to spend 2K on gauges
Richard Petty used to turn all his gauges so that when
reading NORMAL, all gauge needles would point straight
up. So, at 190mph he didnt have to actually READ his
gauges, just note where all the needles were pointing.

New Vintage USA has been making a set like this for like 10 years!!
They have super short lead times, just picked up a kit since Dakota had 16 week leadtime! I couldn't wait on this build so I got there performance 2 backlit with blue when you hit the lights!

You know there's areas where GPS doesn't work, right? You just won't have a speedometer there lol. There's a lake nearby me that I like to go to sometimes - No gps out there. Lotta roads in the area, no gps.
Holley should make tha same for silverado obs 1989-1994 like those ones ASAP because dakota didn’t like them
The holley gauges look like they have to made by speedhut, they look like they are based off the same gauges with holley branding. I prefer the speedhut because you customize them anyway you want and add your own custom logo and not be stuck with it saying holley

Thinking about doing this on a 78 c60 im building.
was going to do dakota but honestly since i have the terminator id feel like a fool NOT doing this honestly looks braindead easy compared to dakota
We would say if you have the terminator then go with these. Plug and play!
The bright light indicator in located on the factory speedometer how was this handled?
I've discovered another manufacturer that makes very similar gauges that have optional turn and bright light indicators, only thing I've already purchased the oil volts temp & gas gauge's from Holley...
The gps speedometer is crap!
What do you do when entering a tunnel? Everybody knows there's no gps signal in tunnels...
Hold a constant RPM ? count one mississipi two misssissipi etc?

@@johnnyboy859 if you aren't going to run a Holley ECU, you'll have to make sure you get their "analog" version gauges though, at least for the oil pressure and water temp. The rest should work fine.
However, if you want it setup nice, the terminator x max is definitely the way to go!

So not all those light cover are steel. Some are plastic and flimsey.
What trans do you have? Did you use a block off plate where the speedo connected?
4l60e trans. Speedo is GPS no wires
The oil pressure gauge not working with the Sniper EFI is a dealbreaker for me. Almost pulled the trigger until I read that. Wish there was a way to make it work. What Holley EFI are you running?
Seems crazy and doesn't make sense to me. I have the sniper efi on my 70 pontiac and oil pressure reads just fine
@@peleger1 I ended up going with Dakota digital. It came with a sensor I screwed into the block. If the Holley analog gauges had an oil pressure that worked with the efi or I could somehow use a sensor to make it work I would have went with Holley.

I didn't see in the video where you hooked up the canbus, did you wire it to the stock ECU or did you run a aftermarket ECU?
Its a Holley ECU and plugs right in! It was hard to show this because it was under the dashboard
@@gasratzcustoms lol, not a very cost effective option when you add the price of a new ECU and wire harness. Thanks for responding. I'll have to go with different gauges.

@@gasratzcustoms I found out Holley does make those as standalone analog gauges which don't require the ECU, however they are about $90.00 more per gauge and come with sensors. I'm going to give them a try. Thanks for the demo of the gauges in your video!
What Holley gauges could I use to replace my factory dash in a 2008 GMC sierra
I would visit the Holley website and see what options they have. You will need to know what size and what type of gauges you need.
Can you run these gauges with a carburetor engine? And will they work for an ls swap 6.0 lq4 with no Holley setup?
you would have to run the "analog" versions that have their own respective sending units and inputs, instead of the EFI gauges if you don't use the holley setup. The EFI gauges are designed to be a CAN bus setup that works specifically with the Holley platform.
Can you use the gps speedometer while maintaining use of the Holley 3.5" screen?
Pretty sure, Yes the speedometer is gps but needs power

We got them dialed in. Took a little shaving off the backside of the bezel.
Not sure when they started to use plastic diffusers but my 86 is plastic

No, these are Compatible with the Holley products.

Thanks for watching. The cost for all the gauges is around a thousand bucks but is comparable the other options as well.

I'd love to see a cheaper way to go since I bought my 76 for $5,000. Throwing over another grand into it for guages doesn't make much sense for me.

Depending on what you order and the options you probably looking between $800 to $1000. They are very nice and are worth it for the easy install and programming options.

What you do for turn signal ?
If I have the terminator x , do I need any additional module to make this work ?
I used stock turn signals. If you have Terminator X you just need to order the gauges!
Turn signal hell there's no fuel gauge

I got a 1987 c10 I got terminator x with the truck I bought these gauges how do I wire it to come on with the key
You need to hook it up to key power. One wires excites it and lights en up. I would have to look at the instructions again ;)
