Fantastic album. Great song full of sensitivity.Have the original vinyl & purchased the CD ,would be nice to see Roger revisit some of the songs on this album.
Did your shadow ever speak to you? And did he say that something's wrong? Only a figure on a lamplit wall Never realised he cared at all Did he stop you going on? Yes my shadow spoke to me tonight And made me throw my dreams away Told a story of a twisted man Who was playing with some foolish plan About a girl who'd have her way Sometimes shadows are near I see things very clear My life unwinds Somewhere I'll make my stand Look round at yesterday And change my mind Now your shadow isn't always there In the light of a cloudy day Or in circles where you hide from view All the doubts that ever bothered you And where people lose your name
Does that all have any meaning worth trying to understand? I listen to Supertramp because I like the music. Lyrics are often just crap, and nothing to do with music.

The more I'm listening to this this song the more i Love it!
só tem música boa nesse disco , não sei porque não foi bem aceito pelo público na época .....para mim é o melhor disco do SUPERTRAMP.
At this point, my top ten songs are like 8 supertramp songs and the other two songs from Feng Suave
Wonderful album. Unfortunately gone from spotify

I've always heard it (still do) as "Huddled figure on a lamplit wall" and "Guess my shadow spoke to me tonight."
@@harmonium8198 You are correct on both..
@@jadams3427 tf are you talking about? How are these lyrics "crap"?
You've got great stuff here. I only really knew their famous stuff (genesis fan)
mi favorita del disco..
Apparently Rick Davies sang this song. Amazing as it sounds nothing like him.
That's Rick!?
HOLY COW I SEE IT NOW
Roger Hodgson is the vocalist in this song. Regards!
