To be more specific about the paid ability/rez window discussion around 12:00 :
Technically, they're all paid ability windows, but you need permission to take certain actions during those paid ability windows. For example, using paid abilities (such as SMC) is allowed in PAWs, but scoring agendas and rezzing cards is something you need permission to do. Scoring agendas, of course, is only allowed in PAWs that occur during the corp's turn (excluding the PAW during the discard phase), and as noted here, rezzing non-ice cards is also restricted to "not during the encounter".
The intent seems pretty clear, FFG allows the corp sets up all their trickery during the approach, but once you encounter ice, the Runner knows for certain what's possible. No spin doctor rez to mess with the Piranha ETR. You can still use other paid abilities (like Flower Sermon), but the runner will be aware of those.
Interestingly (to the trivia-obsessed), there is one other paid ability window in which the corp can't rez cards: the one during the movement phase, right before the runner can jack out. When adjusting the run timing structure in System Gateway, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out the implications of this window, because it is basically never used. One example we ultimately came up with as to why it might be relevant (and shouldn't allow rezzing) was Self-Destruct. The Runner survives an encounter with Komainu (or some other net damage ice), and being cautious, deserves a chance to jack out before the Corp can reveal a previously unseen self-destruct. But if the corp pre-rezzes the self-destruct, or just has a scored House of Knives, then they can fire those before the runner can jack out. It's all a bit niche, and with a few years of hindsight, I think this PAW didn't have to exist, but it does!
