Thanks for uploading and sharing this song. I knew both Jeb and Derek from Ottawa days and heard the stories of life in London in the late 70's and early 80's. I think they came so close to huge success, they certainly had the talent and charm. All these years later I continue to remember and celebrate their fantastic music, it's timeless!
I remember back to just before Christmas in (i think) 1979 when i bought 'KISS Alive 2' from Will Parker Records (long since closed) in Ormskirk, Lancashire, and i was given the 7" of this, free. I still have it, although not played it for many years. I was thinking about it (for some strange reason) on my drive to work, this week, and yaaaayyy, it's been posted on UA-cam. I always remembered the tune, but i'd forgotten just how good it sounds. Great song! Thanks for posting... \m/ (:o)
Thanks for uploading this, Simon Fox was such a fantastic drummer it's a shame he didn't have more of a career. There's only this and the terribly underated Be Bop Deluxe. Wonder what ever happened to him?
It's Simon Fox that brought me here as a huge Be-Bop Deluxe fan. According to wikipedia....... In 1988, he joined Orkestra (a post-Electric Light Orchestra band formed by bassist Kelly Groucutt and violinist Mik Kaminski), releasing with them two albums, Beyond the Dream and Roll Over Beethoven. Fox returned to the music industry in 2014, joining Birmingham-based funk rock group the Parade. References
Great stuff. I wonder where Jeb is & what he’s done with his life. Knew him in London & LA. I think sadly Derek passed away years ago? Simon was an absolute hero with Be Bop. I wonder how he’s been doing through the years.
i saw jeb's band Broadway Brats which was formed after Blazer Blazer,1980 in london and recorded them live at the Corn Dolly oxford on cassett tape, not the best recording ive done as it was the first band i ever recorded ,but you hear the magic of Jebs voice and the wicked guitar playing of Andy Barnet, they were a fantasic band live so underatted,i will dig the tape out see what state its in it was 34 years ago,and put it on You Tube, R.I.P Jeb.
I saw them support AC/DC 78 and Nazareth 79 they were great I got this EP they did a radio 1 in concert Easter time 79 I listen to it but couldnt record it I’ve tried to find it on line but can’t
Saw them at Leeds University around '77 supporting Nazareth. Thought they were magnificent and saw them in York I think. Bought this single but not heard anything since.
Saw them opening for someone at the Marquee, can't remember who, may have been Rose Tattoo, but I recall them being much rockier than this. Unfortunately only released the one single as far as I know, no album. Very catchy song tho', I still have it on my play lists.
Any idea where I can get their recordings? Derek was my Uncle - miss him tonnes! All the records and cassette tapes have gone missing over the years with moves. I'd appreciate any info on how I can get some of their music. Thanks,

Love this guitar player! So expressive, translates his feelings effortlessly into their best sonic counterpart.
