    I had an eye opening experience the other day. Due to a misshippment of some gourmet food, I ended up with a block of dry ice and the "need" to experiment. So, I exposed some various tire sealants to some cold. Orange Seal froze almost instantly whereas Stan's and Stan's clones stayed liquid for an extended period of time. It made me think. . . We have Orange Seal sub zero because regular Orange Seal readily freezes. Nobody else makes sub-zero sealants because they don't need to. Their regular sealant stays liquid to extremely cold temps, unlike Orange Seal. And FWIW, riding all winter in Alaska down to -20 using Stan's, my experience supports this experimental conclusion quite well. P.S. If you're riding the ITI again this year, I'll try and wave hi to you as you pedal past me as I'm touring along the same route.

    Nice list! I just got an airtag last week and am using my Shokz to hear the audio on this video! I use mine daily. They make great hands free when doing anything from driving to working around the house. I'm on my third set in 4 or 5 years. The cat got one pair and the battery gave out in another (I don't charge them overnight anymore. They take less than an hour to reach full charge)
    You will really like them!

    In the busy roads of the UK the Garmin’s radar is really good. It’s often a life saver as the driving is so bad. The alarm is excellent for cars approaching when you often can’t hear them in wind and the red alert is really good when cars are approaching at high speed.
    The power socket is a bit crap and you need to keep it clean 🧽 or it clogs and gets corroded.
    The battery life is very good especially on flash modes and the modes will intensify as the car speeds up.
    Never had a false positive or negative but it can fail to alarm if a car is behind you but at the same speed. Being at the same speed is fine as it’s not getting closer. I LOVE IT .
    WARNING - for it to work properly you have To mount it so it has a vertical look rearward the range could end up to be 10cm not 100 - 90m+ so mount it properly.

    Dang! I wish for a quick recovery! I got cut off while going downhill from an SUV and tore my right wrist tendon.. A few months ago and I bought an Insta360 one rs for dashcam purposes and now a lot of cars and motorcycles avoid me coz of that.

    I got some Shokz headphones for gravel rides, though once you pick up a bit of speed you can’t hear anything with the wind. Sad to say, never had a good experience with them on the bike.

      What are your experiences with them in other environments, sound quality ? And etc ?
      Wind noise totally makes sense with the ear canal being exposed ….
      Thanks again

    I’ve got the JBL clip 4 I use for work and it’s great! Probably a tad big/heavy for bikepacking, but they also have smaller versions.

    Always a pleasure to watch you videos
    Google :
    For zip ties google 5" Precision Diagonal Pliers Cutting Pliers for Wire Cable Cutter High Hardness HDR 56-58 Electronic Repair Hand Tools
    And then find it where you want. Probably the same or similar to the one you got….best pliers I’ve used for no sharp edges:-)
    Happy trails and a good December to you and the family greeting from Scandinavia
    Happy trails

    Nice list. I used a Bar end mirror until I received a garmin radar as a gift. It is great peace of mind when riding with my kid.
    You should consider the shokz open run instead of the pro. The waterproofness rating is higher. Also I have a large head and i prefer the shorter band on the shokz. Gets in the way less being closer to my head.

    • @DirtyTeethMTB
      @DirtyTeethMTB  9 місяців тому

      Thanks for the tips- I wonder what the purpose of the open run pro is… usually pro is better, no?

    • @erickozokas
      @erickozokas 8 місяців тому +1

      @@DirtyTeethMTB usually :). It think either the sound or battery might be better on the pro. I can’t remember. There are good reviews comparing the two. I want them to work when I am riding the struggle bus so more waterproof is my priority :).

    I just cut the zip ties with multi tool pliers and then carve the two sharp edges off with the blade. But nippers sure are nice. In fact you got me thinking. I used to have a very small quality pair no bigger than the palm of your hand. Will see if there's anything like that on the 'zon. Do you have any in your store?

    • @ANomadicJourney
      @ANomadicJourney 9 місяців тому +1

      I would need something of good enough quality to handle brake and shifting cable with no problemm First and foremost really, the plastic cutting is just easy

    • @chris4536
      @chris4536 9 місяців тому

      Invest in dedicated cable cutters - no question! Once you try the difference you will never try to hack through a shift cable with sidecutters!
      I use the Park Tool zip tie cutters here all the time and they too are worth their weight in gold!

      @AnomadicJourney IMO a specific cable cutter is the only way to go for cutting brake/shift cable without fraying, etc - consider the park cn-10: amzn.to/41rW1Rd
