    Please can you make a separate video on which type of business can be grow in Oman easily if you are a outsider.

      They actually make it very hard for foreigners to start businesses without local partners. In most cases local partners are a liability.

    Very interesting. Is the residency renewable indefinitely (provided you continue to own the property)? What is the minimum investment/purchase price? In fairness to Dubai, the Government are also really trying to compete by also offering 5-10 year visas + 100% foreign company ownership. They now really want families and retirees to come and settle long term, rather than just your typical expat flying in for a couple of years to “make millions” and then leave. Anyway thanks Ladislas for another really fantastic video. If you are still in the region, it would be great to see your take on Qatar and Bahrain.

    • @TheWanderingInvestor
      @TheWanderingInvestor  3 роки тому +4

      Thank you. Yes, renewable indefinitely. You’re right, Dubai is making very positive changes.
      There is no minimum investment in Oman. You just need to buy anything within these developments. The cheapest I saw was an office space for about $50k. With the residency permit you can live outside of the developments anywhere in Oman.

    Hi Ladislas, thanks for this tour! Do you know what year Al Mouj first started? Also, are they still building units next to the existing ones? I know that they are building a St-Regis but do you know if they are building new apartments? I fear that with all of the vacant land around supply will be abundant and this will keep prices down.

    • @TheWanderingInvestor
      @TheWanderingInvestor  2 роки тому +2

      Very good point. Yes, they are still building. As a homeowner your number 1 competition is the primary market from the Developer.

      Thank you Tibor. Such yields never last long in Dubai. It’s a market where rents tend to fall as a building ages.

    Are the rentals still low today? Returns compared to dubai are almost half. I would live in Oman but I would rather invest in dubai for rental returns. Can we have a zoom call and understand the market today there?

    That yield is almost nothing, compared to Hargesia somaliland.
    For that kind of money you can easily get 20% yield here. Some areas even higher.
