    I've always wanted to do face-ups, but my mum expects me to fail. I've established myself as quite a failure to her. I guess I have to wait five years until I am able to move out. Swell.

      (this is my fiance's account that share, so this is not him haha
      I'm actually 'Bee Trent' on here)
      Hang in there!! I was nothing but a failure to my mom; no matter how well I thought I did, or how much improvement i felt as though I had made when with her, she was never once proud of me. She only noticed the negatives, and the positives were so short lived that I felt like I could never do anything right. I truly felt worthless. At one point I contemplated suicide, -knowing- that my -own mother- would never accept or love me for who I am, or be proud of what I do.
      Believe me. It gets so much better.
      Life is so much brighter when you have loving and supporting people to surround you.
      I don't know you, but here's my email- bee.trent16@gmail.com
      I firmly believe that no child should feel as though they are a failure, because all children are beautiful.
      Feel free to contact me if you ever need to talk. (again, sorry for this being on my SO's account! I hope to hear from you)
      have a lovely day- hang in there :)

      You're not a fail. I thought I was too, and my mom treated me as such also. I wanted to be an artist, never wanted anything else. My mom wanted me to do other things that were "worth the time". I am 34 now, and I just bought my own house with a studio for me to do my work in. It was a long hard road to get to this point, and I have a lot ahead of me, but as long as I keep working my butt off and giving it my best, I never failed! You'll get there too, no matter what is in your way, if you want it bad enough.

    • @michaelaclark2147
      @michaelaclark2147 8 років тому +1

      Aw... You two are so lovely! Another reason why she thinks I might fail is because I have no talent, art just doesn't come to me and it is disheartening. Maybe I will learn to draw like I wish, who knows.

    • @meganm6436
      @meganm6436 8 років тому +2

      Pratice the grey scale, draw everyday, learn to draw what you see! That's the big one! You need to train your brain to draw what your looking at and not what you think it looks like! I think that's the hardest part. We have this idea of what an everyday object looks like, and we try to fit that in with what we're drawing, that's wrong, stop that, draw what you ARE looking at. Then draw it again, and again, until it looks right. A light touch is something to practice as well. You can do that easy, just draw a softly curving line, adding pressure as you get towards the end, so it goes smoothly from lightest to dakest, try to follow the same line over and over. I know that sounds boring, but it will help you in two ways, to be able to control your movment, and to control your pressure. It's all about pressure and control, and that is something anyone can learn! Do these things everyday, for as much time as you can spare, ideally for an hour or more. Drawing tutorials online is a GREAT source btw, it's paid by monthly, but worth it if you can afford it, if not, UA-cam is a wealth of free info and there are many great vidoes here that even I STILL use. That's the thing about any skill, never stop learning, there's always more to be done, you're never perfect. You can do this.

    • @Robyn0587
      @Robyn0587 8 років тому +2

      Please try! You can see from the start of the videos that you can take the paint right off again :) If we never fail, we never get better. And even if we're not as good as Andreja, it doesn't mean it's not fun or relaxing to do! Art doesn't come easily to me at all either but I still love it.

    Hello Nicole 😊 I'm not sure if you've been asked before but have you tried drawing on their bodies. I know it's quite not your style but I think delicate flowers and curve like figures would be great with your delicate drawing technique. I'm truly a fan, this is beautiful art and I'd like to try it myself some day 😀

    Um, hello there, but I am wondering what you used to remove the eyes and mouth? I'm looking to start doing costums, but can't find the right tools.

    Oh dear, I meant I'd buy seperate parts for the bjd not the monster high doll. But as far as practicing face ups, would the monster high doll work? (Or similarly a ever after high doll? They don't appear as painfully skinny)

    I really love your face up jobs, and I've wanted a bad myself for some time. Now, real bjds are costly and although I have the money, I am not prepared to put that much money into paying for one. In your opinion, would practicing on a Monster High doll make work? I intend to buy a blank doll (I will likely get most pieces separate) and I want to do both face and body blushing. As far as face ups go, would the same approach work on the body? And would the sealent be available at a general place like Walmart? I have further questions but don't want to overdo it on you. Any answers you can give me would be really wonderful. (Sorry this is so long, I'm really curious!) Also, you're using pastels. And anything oil-based is a no-no. But are you using chalk pastels? And if so, using a tougher pastel piece, would grinding it down to powder work as well as the method you're using? (Oh man I'm sorry this is really long! If you have the patience to help me out, I'd appreciate it greatly!)

    I have Everything to do this with, but you have to be a good artist and I already know that so:P I would probably Ruin my doll all up:P Btw, I got that same Twyla doll for Easter:P I still have her

    How did you remove all of the paint and stuff like what did you use? I tried nail polish remover but it just smeared and didnt come off so it looked very weird and crazy.

      I simply cut off the blue stripes with scissors. To learn more about my sealing method check my past video titled "Brush on Sealants" :) good luck!
