This is so wonderful music and really played wonderful, exactly with the right measure of romantic heart and spirit - THX for this wonderful experience !!
To my ear the beginning of no. 3 has a striking similarity with the beginning of Chopins Ballade no. 3. Now these pieces were composed around 1839 while the Ballade around 1840/41. Coincidence maybe but curious..
I never enjoyed Clara's compositions, but I liked the first piece (there's a mistake in the score 2:03, last compass it does't have the natural d). I remember when I was in college everytime I said I didn't like her people would call me sexist. I prefer Fanny by a mile, but Alma is the best of them all.

This is an absolute great discovery! All three pieces are of extreme stature, artistry and quality. Gonna add them to repertoire.

Chopin's Ballade no.4 starts at 10:31

Really interesting, I would've guessed that the first piece was written by Brahms!
Definitely sounds like Brahms' late intermezzi, or Brahms' late intermezzi sound like Clara

Lovely piece....Clara's got it.....BRAVA from Mexico City!
I also prefer Fanny, she was more creative in her music than Clara
