We visited Chichen Itza quite a few years ago, when people were still allowed to climb all those steps. On one side was a rope to help people and an ambulance was positioned at the bottom. I was videoing a young couple as they climbed. On the other side with no rope! She was a cancer survivor and she felt compelled to do it. I was not planning on making the climb but my video camera's zoom just wasn't doing the job. Going up was hard, but coming down was tricky. It freaked my wife out, but I was happy with the video.
