Aloha!
These are the big and small adventures of a young(ish) retired couple based on Maui. We love wildlife and scenery, exploring the world and volunteering with animals. We started making videos to share with friends & family, as both a hobby and diary for future viewing. We publish new videos sporadically and not always in chronological order, so subscribe if you want to see what’s next. (We always seem to have a big backlog of unedited footage that needs attention.) We hope our channel provides enjoyment and information, but most of all might inspire your next adventure!
Mahalo 🤙🏾🤙🏼 (thank you),

Are considering Belize or Costa Rica as options?
We visited Chichen Itza quite a few years ago, when people were still allowed to climb all those steps. On one side was a rope to help people and an ambulance was positioned at the bottom. I was videoing a young couple as they climbed. On the other side with no rope! She was a cancer survivor and she felt compelled to do it. I was not planning on making the climb but my video camera's zoom just wasn't doing the job. Going up was hard, but coming down was tricky. It freaked my wife out, but I was happy with the video.
My favorite of your travel videos so far. Mérida looks fabulous.
@@JackJeffs-k1f muchas gracias! 👍🏼 I took a lot more time to edit this one because a) I had shot a ton of footage and b) I wanted to do this beautiful city justice.
A beautiful dream to be in those paradises !! I would love to live there, hopefully they have enjoyed it a lot Greetings from CDMX
Wonderful and complete video, showing the most important places of such a beautiful city. Thank you because I enjoyed the beauty of Merida with you. Excellent couple of narrators and photographers.
@@elsamota8997 you’re so kind! I’m looking forward to you seeing our CDMX video 🙂
Wow, awesome to follow you guys and I absolutely love all the animals & the monkeys
@@AllisonScullVictorMartin Thanks! If you haven’t seen them, we have a lot of wildlife videos; bears, whales, gorillas, Africa, Galapagos, etc.
Interesting. I Will check this out 😊
Very nice. While my tastes run much more to cities than beaches, it's awfully fun to see your perspective on these towns. Also, a water selfie! bonus technical points.
One reason we liked Valencia and Barcelona so much is that they’re cities that also have beaches.
@@jennycraigadventures3314 I haven't been to either city, but I have been to Malaga. Malaga was pretty nice, but I don't think I could hack the mugginess in the summer. Looking forward to your Merida video.

Love your video! One up and coming area to visit in PV is Versalles, less tourists and more residential. Its pretty quiet, with cute homes and ALOT new condos and construction. Lots of cool restaurants and shops and a ten minute Uber ride to Centro, RZ and Cinco de Diciembre. My wife and I always stay here when visiting PV. Thoughts of living here year round, even with the "quieter" area of Versalles, its a bit too touristy overall and humid. However, during the peak season of Nov to March...the weather is not too bad. So being a sun bunny or snow bird could work. You should definitely visit more areas of MX...San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca, Mazatlan, Guanajato, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Queretaro, and Aijijic.
@Fallgrrrl Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for tip on Versalles. Since PV, we have been to Akumal and Playa del Carmen (video posted), Mérida (video posted), Valladolid (video coming very soon), Progresso, Palenque, Campeche and Mexico City (videos in the works…the editing is the time-consuming part 😀)
How exciting that you are setting off for other lands. I can understand the need to embrace cultures where human dignity is respected! So glad we intersected in Merída. :)
So happy to meet you today and see a bit of the world through your eyes and camera!
have a trip planned to puerto Vallarta in April, looks like a great city!!
Great looking city. And a really nice video. Thanks for sharing it.

Hello Sir, You are making amazing videos to get more views, likes and subscribers! You must do well. But there are some problems( lack of SEO,not SEO friendly description, not proper tags, not proper title) in your videos that I have found by analyzing your UA-cam channel. As a result You are not getting the expected result. Do you want to talk about solving the problems for a while?
Miss you two ❤
Good one you guys. Sorry about your transport woes, but you were able to enjoy KC more deeply. It's a good midwestern/southern city. It was fun to live there. Should've given you the address of our house and Kim and Dan's house so you could've waved to the old homesteads. Great vid!
Thanks Cathy!
I have two very good friends in KC and love the place.
Roughly how long does it take to drive around the entire rim? Roughly. I'm trying to estimate time necessary. I'm going end of September.
@@bongiwe since the road was about 25% closed during our visit, we weren’t able to drive all the way around, so we did a lot of backtracking and added to our time. If the entire loop is open, you could probably do it in 2 or 3 hours. That said, we’d recommend giving yourself 6-8 hours if you want to make lots of stops to see the amazing views, take hikes and check out the pinnacles etc. Enjoy your visit! Cheers!
Where is the "Old man of the lake"?
@@felishachibwe2211 unfortunately, we didn’t see him. I think most who do are on the tour boat, which we didn’t do.
I looked at a trip for me and my wife on this train from Atlanta to NY in a roomette and it was crazy expensive. At first it said $740 and I was fine with that until I realized that was just one way. $1500 is ridiculous when I can fly for a third of that.
Yeah, it’s not cheap when compared to flying, nor is it faster (obviously). It’s definitely more about the experience and being able to see a lot of the country.
@jennycraigadventures3314 Yeah I guess but that doesn't make much financial sense to most people. I can fly to Vegas and stay a week in the nicest hotel for the price to ride on a train for 2 days.
The change from "National Lakeshore" to "National Park" was strictly marketing. Calling it a park increased the number of visitors motivated to add to the list of parks they've seen. The result was they hired more rangers, but the place remained the same. These additional people show up, realize it's not Arches, Yosemite or Yellowstone, and then pan the place. It's a good place to enjoy the beach (but not on the weekends when it's godawful crowded), explore on bicycle, or go hiking. The important thing is it preserves a diverse ecosystem and the glacial geography. If you can appreciate something more subtle and less spectacular, and learn something in the process, please visit, if not leave it to the locals.
It being a “National Park” is exactly why we checked it out on our road trip between Chicago and Detroit. We did visit and enjoyed it, despite it not being as spectacular as a lot of other parks.
Detroit has actually gained population for the first time in over 60 years so it is turning the corner and improving.
Been enjoying this series. Reminds me of watching Huell Howser's PBS show introducing spots up and down California.
Ha! I just need some footage of a dog eating an avacado 😁 (Thanks for the nice words.)
I like the Blues Brothers reference! Safe travels
😁 thanks Michael! Hope all is well 👍🏼
Love seeing all these shops styled like they were straight out of a Western movie.
What a great day the water's so smooth. Roughly how far offshore would you say were?
Thanks for the information. I plan to make the trip next year.
Glad you enjoyed it, and have fun!
Fun to watch the turkey vultures' skill at soaring even if no condors showed up. Did you continue on the "steep and narrow" section of the High Peaks trail or go back down the Condor Gulch trail?
Hi guys Holly and Jerel are in Texas!! Love yah ❤
Aloha Tish! Miss you ❤️
I grew up my whole life in hood River Oregon and worked at the Columbia gorge hotel for a long time beautiful video working at the hotel I saw a lot of activity especially in the kitchen during the night also on the second floor I had a experience where I saw a bright shadow walking out of the bride room and then the bath tub would over flood sometimes also in the laundry room that’s where sometimes I would see a lot of paranormal activity there’s one day I was down in the laundry room at the hotel working overtime and saw the lights flickering and some of the towel ropes fell that’s when I walked out nervous
Wow! That’s amazing. Did all the employees have these types of experiences?
Amazing video @Jenny&Craig. I'm dreaming of this trip with the family. I'm hoping prices go down.....someday.
Thanks! Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s about the journey.
