Beautiful Superformance! One thing to note, “kit cars” get a bad rep for some reason. It definitely depends on the builder and kit, but kits from Factory Five Racing for example can be built as good if not better than Superformance cars. The chassis themselves have much more modern geometry. Otherwise, awesome video!
I agree.. For racing purposes or budget builds the factory five cars make a lot of sense. It would be tough to build one yourself and have the same finished quality as a superformance car.. but I’m glad they are all available
Thanks for this video man. Super in-depth. I have nearly zero mechanical knowledge so a factory five isn’t a great option for me. However this looks like something more up my street.
The shifter actually originated from a 64 galaxie manual, turned around due to length of transmission. I love the video and dream of a superformance replica..
The gauges on this car are not set up like most of the original cars. I have an original 1966 427 Cobra I purchased in 1968. Most of the original cars were street versions with a glove box, under car exhaust and no roll bar. The speedometer and tac are above and on either side of the steering wheel. The speedometer is where the tac is on this car and the tac is to the left of the steering wheel.

Cobra Kit cars only get a 'bad rap' from those don't own a Cobra at all...
This ^^^ and Factory Five uses a Ron Francis wiring harness.

thanks for the knowledge
The "Continuation" Cobra by Superformance is a beautiful car for sure., but I love my Factory Five !
if built properly they are cool
The original 1985 Cobra (competition mode) on Jay Leno's garage didn't have a fuel gauge. It has amp meter where this one has a fuel gauge.
good insight.. thanks

Uum? Everyone’s blood is red.
What car number is your SPF?
How much foot room? I hear it’s crazy tight.
It's fine, but you need thin shoes such as driving shoes or running shoes. Wide skate shoes can be wonky.
BRE website offers new guages, much more accurate
thanks for the tip. Ill check it out
