I have an identical car. These run hot inside from the big engine shoehorned under that hood. These vents are priceless and scoop alot of air !!
If I had a woman like her I’d buy her any car she wants whether I could afford it or not!!!!!!
Great video, gonna be a good help in my future repair with my sunroof
Why does it have the low end spoiler on the high end version GTA?
What did it dyno say?

He’s a doll😍😍😍😍
Thank you both for this video. It will help me as I attempt to replace / repair the sunshades. I thought I was done restoring my 2007 MKX until my sunshades derailed. I DO live down South and can confirm the sun and heat eventually do cause havoc, melt, and crack the plastic hardware pieces over time.
My moon roof will not open at all, i purchased new metal replacement brackets.
Labor intensive
Thank you so much for posting this! It was very helpful as we planned the repair for a 2011 Lincoln MKX. One note that may help some people. If you find the pieces that break off, you may be able to use a JB Weld two part epoxy to put them back. That is what we did today. I admit I would rather have the aluminum slides in there, but I am guessing it would have taken us six hours to remove and replace everything to install them. JB Weld's two part epoxy is extremely strong and I very much doubt that if the pieces break again that they will break where the bond is. You need to ensure that you clean the joint first. JB Weld recommends acetone so we used fingernail polish remover which is heavy on acetone. In order to do this job you still need to remove the glass first, which isn't hard. I should add that cleaning the tracks and spraying silicone lubricant caused the slides to travel much much easier. Thank you again for the video!
Hey like everyone on here I broke the plastic pieces on the sunroof rack what is the price to fix it I’m borrowing the car from my aunt and I broke those pieces by closing the moonroof am I screwed
watching a lot more foxbody videos recently as my dad finally brought out his 87' GT convertible, automatic, with all trim options maxed out (all stock no mods) and now we are trying to get it starting again.
forgot to mention The Smell’s these cars give off!!
I’d rather have that car. But I’d also rather have a 65 k code.
Is the new aluminum part a Lincoln or aftermarket part ? If OEM can you post the part number ? These trolleys both broke on my son's daughters car a half hour ago
Thank you so much for making this video! I made the exact same mistake by having the replacement parts in the wrong orientation so it kept stopping short of closing all the way until I watched you & your daughter. So yes, you were absolutely right when you said "this will help someone" lol
How did it go? I’m debating whether to attempt it or save up to get it done
@@BG-gx3cf it worked & I’m so glad I did it my self. Saved thousands. It’s time consuming but worth it.
The shifter actually originated from a 64 galaxie manual, turned around due to length of transmission. I love the video and dream of a superformance replica..
if they make some of those again with all the flaws...i would prefer that to a new one even if the new handles and are faster...i just like old timey fun. i wish i was there when those cars were new
I owned one and loved it.
Price
A friend of mine had a blue 68 mustang GT that he said w as a 427. I bought the heads off of it when he had changed them to 390 heads for some weird reason. I was thinking maybe it was a 428 but the more race proven 427 was quite rare. The heads were not the dual bolt pattern CJ heads so I guess it was a real 427. I didn’t know the numbers back then as I was 16 years old and really didn’t care at the time. Those heads really woke my 390 up and I always wondered why ford didn’t put a decent head in the 390gt torinos and mustangs. Thats all it takes to make a 390 run with the 396 Chevy.
I have a customer that had both glass panels broke out on them from a storm. And I was just going to get a whole setup from the junkyard. But when I got to the junkyard I removed the headliner and could not figure out how to remove the entire sunroof as an assembly. Most ive done that are factory just bolt in....
Can this whole moonroof be removed as a whole assembly?
Ok you hooked me I’ve subscribed
Welcome aboard
Uum? Everyone’s blood is red.
“Barn find” status is not as important when a manufacturer made 2.6 million examples of a model.
I remember I would skip school to test drive these cars. Looking at it brings back memories. Beautiful car 👍
Dang, that girl sounds so good in a driveby.
Love these old Ford vans.
My experience with oil filled shocks have been poor.. I have a set on my Ford Excursion, when it’s below zero in the winter they slam over every bump. My second experience is on vintage British cars, they have a shock arm system that’s oil filled.. most people aspire to convert that system to a gas tube style shock.. I can understand the advantages of oil shocks in desert racing, and circle track where the valving is adjustable and shocks are rebuildable, however, I believe gas shocks are superior for most standard year round use..
Non gas shocks have a way better ride. Ever ridden in a Peugeot with their proprietary multiacting hydraulic shocks? Soft when they need to be and firmer when wheels start to dance rapidly. " Gas filled hydraulic shocks" are done so to reduce foaming ( yet in no way eliminated it). Quite simply many poorly engineered hydraulic shocks are gas charged to hide the actual subpar dampening function of the actual strut- cartridge or conventional shock. Get into insanely engineered ( and expensive) adjustable 4×4 hydraulic shocks with vented fluid reservoirs to keep foaming/ cavitation to a bare minimum, well enough said.
Good insight..
Drive or ride in an old school 911, front end is held up by gas charged shocks...no torsion bars or wound springs, the ride is atrocious, just like a gas strut landing gear on a commercial airliner on taxiway or runway, mediocre ride since nitrogen gas is the entire suspension; bouncy with little damper compliance.
Excellent💯 I learned how to drive on a 72👍🇨🇦🖐
I need that ignition plug !
I drove one identical to this one many times in the early 70s. That Cobra Jet is no joke.
If you watch the 1986 big trouble little China movie there's one in the kidnapping scene red Pontiac trans Am
Ooh I’ll look for it thanks
I had that same car, same color and everything, damn do I miss it
That hood tripped me out, I thought that was mountains
Agreed 😆
Imagine what the donut employees went through to get there to make your donut😂
He said it was repainted a little brighter color..😂. That car was a maroon color. Its a brighter red now.
Fucking MINT👌
what’s the snow tool you used?
I believe it’s a sno rake
Love bumpsides! Had 5 of em, and 4 dentsides!
I owed a modified 12sec quarter mile beast of it's era then years later bought a fusion sport made that car seem slow
That’s the problem with new cars 😩
I miss the sound of those door locks should have never sold my 71 f250
They are cool
I had one bought in stubenville, ohio!! Awesome car a lot of fun!!
Who makes this?
Amazon purchase.. works great
Thank you .@@lumberjackgarage193

Completely worth all of it haha. All that sliding around is my absolute favorite thing to do in that lot. One if these days I'll start doing tandem with someone 😂
