I tried these on very very comfortable. That tendon guard is a nice touch. However I was blown away by the CCM As3 Again thanks for another video!. Stay safe and well team IW.
Can't find any info anywhere on which quad radius (Quad 3XS-Quad II) the runners have. Is it one across the board, or are the different sizes different profiles? Disappointed to see no vent hole on the skate named 'Pro'.
@@ice.warehouse Is this standard or does this change with skate size? Meaning is that the radius whether a size 5 or size 9 skate? Also If Im buying extra steel, do those come with a quad profile as well?
The 2s was a 1000 skate and the 3s come in around 700. with 2s on sale now for about 600 are they with a look, or would you move to 3s no brainer? Thanks for the review!
Hey Dustin, I think you're referring to the 2S Pro's. If so and you can score those for $600, I'd definitely pick those up. They're just a higher quality, better performing choice than the 3S. Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse I have a 2S Pro but looking at the 3S Pro. Is the 3S Pro the same quality as the 2S Pro. I like the price of the 3S Pro. I'm currently skating on the 2S Pro and like it. Thanks
I would say go to your local pro shop or find any store that has a bauer custom fitter machine thingy. It tells you your boot side, width and your fit. If your a forward I would say vapor line because they are more streamline and meant for quick movements but supreme would also be a good option. I would recommend supreme matrix or 3s pro
Thinking about getting these I currently have MX3 LE 2014 been running them for years and don’t like the 1200 price point of Ultra Sonic… would these be the same quality as the MX3 or better
This is a great decision, the 3S Pro's are a better quality skate compared to your MX3's. You'll have a better quarter package and much better steel! Brandon at IW Hockey
Super disappointed in all the mid to high range skates from Bauer lately, s180 had curv and ls2. Now the 3s for the price only has ls1 and way less stiff boot. Might have to try ccm this year
it's just a product naming thing, they are not related in heritage. you should look at the price comparison for what you're getting not the name. I can see how it's confusing though since they didn't make it super clear to customers.
HYP3D is pretty spot on, the naming is a bit confusing coming from year's past. Technically, there isn't an exact replacement for the S180. The 3S Pro is comparable to the S190 and the 3S is comparable to the S170. Chase at IW Hockey
Thanks for the review, long time IW customer here...we must have 20 of the t-shirts and hoodies :) Anyway, from what I gather from another comment if the kid wants the UltraSonics but I'm not going to pay that for a kid with growing feet (he's in a 6.5, Bauer scanner/salesman is telling me to go to an 8 and it's only been 6 months!), you're saying if I can get holdover 2s Pro that's still a better choice than the 3s Pro considering the selling price is about the same currently? Thanks.
Hey Kevin, first off, thanks for the long time support! Man, the youngster's feet are growing quick and I think it's a good call to wait until that slows down before spring for the top-end Ultrasonics. The 2S Pros are definitely a better pick up than the 3S Pro's! Chase at IW Hockey
While they don't have the LS5 Black, the new Pulse (and Pulse Ti) are higher-quality with a more refined manufacturing process.. Plus they have the new Power Quad Profile too. Chase at IW Hockey

Agreed! Both Bauer and CCM have done such a good job creating top-tier step-in comfort the past few years!

I just sent an email to the Bauer crew to see if we can get clarity on this, I'll reply back when I get an answer!

Just heard back and they have the Quad Zero since the setup is as follows:
6'-9'-11'-13' (toe to heel).

I’m wondering is this steel the ls pulse better than ls 5? If so what’s the difference because these are taller than the ls 5 I think as well
Are there any FUNCTIONAL differences between the Senior and Intermediate model? Seems like size 6.0 is now an Intermediate.
Hey TJ, the Senior and Intermediate are pretty much identical. The Junior segment is where you see different specs being used!

Which Bauer or CCM variant offers most flex, for the skilled player?
The CCM AS3 Pro's are just a bit stiffer than the Ultrasonic.

It's a solid jump up in performance, if you're on the ice 3-4 times a week, I think it would be worth the upgrade!

No, it comes with the LS Pulse which is a premium-grade high polish steel.

Both Vapor 2.9 and the 3S are about the same price but what are the main differences and differences material quality?
They're the same quality
Luke L. I just tried both on today and was sold on the 3S they’re better in my opinion
My fit in Vapor is EE does this match Fit 2 in Supreme now?
Yes, that would be your match! Fit 2 is equivalent to a Vapor EE and a Supreme D.

which one of quad profile ?
Zero
3s pro makes it sound better than ultrasonic
Who get used to Vapor don`t touch these.
