We have a Citroen Berlingo. We recently did 3 weeks in France and Belgium. Used campsite every few days for showers and to top up water. We often do one and two week trips.
Absolutely! Adventuring with it despite the unfinished/ not perfect state of it feels like a good metaphor for life really 😅 (I tell myself as I stare at our unfinished side table)
Great build! My daughters was yellow because it was a former DHL van in our area. She named it Jeffrey like the Toys R'Us mascot. She stripped van down, to media blast and address some rust issues. She repainted same yellow. She welded in tube in certain intervals, in a n shape, to brace her roof, mounting custom roof rack, front deflector, her roof rack was built to also integrate into a fold out with a few bars, so she could have shade, and also double as a fold out squat rack and pull up bar. She beefed up suspension, built transmission and engine, added larger turbo setup, enlarged custom made fuel tank, she was trying to stay light, so most of interior was alum tube vs steel or wood, which saved a ton of weight, and added nice rigidity. She hauled a small trailer that carried extra water, some tools, and a CRF300LS bike. Her bicycle, a small lock cabby for her bow, fishing stuff, and hunting rfl. She just wrapped up nursing, but has an engineering and machining bg, was raised hot rodding. Worked at our off road shop, our hot rod shop, our parts store, helped in the machine shop haha. Now that shes adding a malinois and a red heeler to her travels, she is upgrading to a larger rig. a 2022 Ford E450 chassis cab, with a custom lightweight and sealed box, 6.7L turbo diesel. Shes already building a hd enclosed stealth camper trailer, thatll hold a comprehensive tool box, misc tools, massive solar storage, bike and atv lifts. Shes already done ujoint 4x4 conversion on the e450. Shes hoping to also now add a mini rig so her big box truck and trailer can stay stationary. She has been building a small 2019 Jeep Sport S 2dr body and hardtop, custom explorer rig. Lots of stuff from a rubicon, but she converted to a 5.3L v8 and its stick not auto haha. Meant to be small and nimble. Shes going to be upgrading to a larger KTM bike so she can ride further too. She has a lot of projects in the fire. a 2022 Daihatsu Hijet 4x4 kei truck to build into a roaming off road mini adventure truck to follow cattle and etc around our property. Get to remote places with more gear and stay longer. Shes also taking a 2020 van version of the hijet, and building a diff vehicle with the body shell. it will basically be a a toyota tacoma underneath. a 4cyl stick shift 2.7L haha. That should be interesting... I wish I was still young and doing all the stuff you guys are doing!
Looks great, man! Don't sweat the time investment on building. I thought mine would be finished quickly, but it took me at least a year to get my Transit Connect up to snuff. You'll be glad that you took your time to do it right.
Nice edit and awesome van! I have almost identical story with my Connect. I’ve been focusing on doing adventures and building it in small steps so no regrets 😅
Love it!! I just got myself a Red one and am so excited to play with it and convert as well!! Def using some of this as some inspration!! Love the look of yours so far!!
Ah amazing!! Thanks for the comment man! Really appreciate it! I just uploaded a more detailed tour yesterday, so definitely check that out if you want more of a detailed breakdown 🙌🏼
@@janouxgerber Will be checking that out for sure!! I'm literally sitting in the back of my van checking out videos getting inspo haha I'm subscribed, can't wait to check out more of your stuff!!
Would be even more intriguing and interesting if you only had this to live in and not a holiday home 👍👍👍some of us really struggle and have this as our only home 🙂↕️

I've been building for 3 years now and still haven't made a van-tour video. As long as you create great memories, that's ok I guess. 😎

Wow! That sounds like an epic build! Super impressive! Thanks so much for sharing :)
It looks fantastic! You did a great job. You're allowed to say please like and subscribe. It always reminds people to not forget.
Very true!! Trying to get better at that haha Thank you for watching!
Take the filling out of your cushions and put your bedding in them. Saves storage space and cushions do their job just the same.
That's actually a genius idea! Would definitely open up some space under the seats for bags etc. Thank you!
Love this! Working on convincing my husband on converting (on a very small budget) his van right now... he's actually coming round to the idea🙏🏼🤞🏼😊
Ah it’s been the best decision! To be able to just hop in and drive somewhere for the weekend and not set up a tent is so great 🙏🏼
Just well done for persevering AND it looks great !!!
Thank you!! Really appreciate it! 🙌🏼
Well done! Love the pull out bed. Thanks for the tour.
Took a couple of tries to get it right, but works perfectly now! Thanks for the comment :)
Nice job so far. And lovely countryside you get to travel in.
Thank you! The Peak District is amazing 😍

Thanks so much man!! Appreciate the comment! Good luck with your van build 🙌🏼
All you need! 🙌🏼 😍
It really is! We love it so much 🥲
Love the color. Very similar build to my FTC. Good job. Until you own one, nobody realizes how much fun these vans are. Happy UK trails! 😊
Thanks so much Lynne!! Awesome that you have one as well! They’re so great 🙌🏼
Some helpful tips and ideas.

Ah I’m glad you liked it! I shared another more detailed breakdown of the van on my channel, which has a bit more information if you’re interested :)
Safe travels

Yeaaah! Luckily that’s all we’ve needed for our trips haha 🤙🏼
Is this a standard size connect? Or lwb?
This ones a LWB - which i'm very glad for at 6'2 haha
just what i was going to ask as i have the high roof lwb and looking to camper it up
Is this a panel van? Loved them growing up and traveled a lot bouncing around in the back.
It is!! That sounds like an awesome memory :)
💛💛💛 like your van 🚐
Thank you so much!
🙌🙌🙌
🚌🚌🚌
it could have been so good, but with the camera jumping around so wildly, I am completely dizzy and cannot go on watching, so sorry!
Fair enough! Will make sure to keep it steadier next time 👍🏼
I need windows 🪟.
You and me both! Maybe in the next van build I'll add some extra windows!
