Not really a fan of charcoal, but that probably because I haven't spent enough time with it and it's kind of messy. This box might help me to appreciate them more.

Thought I would give you guys a shot over the summer and just got this as my first box... 😬 I didn't know I would be disappointed... but, yeah, the whole family is pretty disappointed.
It's summer! Where are the colors?! This might have gone better over the winter, but for our family of 4 artists, it was a big miss today.
I committed to 3 boxes, so hopefully, the next box will have something interesting🤞

Thanks so much for your very kind feedback. As a family of four artists, I'm surprised charcoal isn't one of your favorites - typically our traditional artists gravitate to it more than other mediums we ship. I do however have GREAT NEWS for ya - next month is full of color (a whole 12 set in our premium box) so you wont be so disappointed. Also the month before had a ton of color, you might want to get on our email and sms lists to see spoilers of our boxes so you don't run the risk of getting something you don't like.

Haha the first thing I said to my husband when I opened it was "but it's finally summer I don't wanna do black and white!" Canadian winters are loong and I'm craving color/bright. I do like working in charcoal normally, but it's funny I had the same initial reaction .
