Love the double ended brush and it's ability to cut in when need to refine a part.

The only issue with a dual end brushes is making sure I don't put one of the end in my mouth. 😂
Looking forward to this box coming this week!

I will start with this set up paints are excellent for using a style of painting called vacant shadows. Paint the highlights only fading into the black and that is your shadows. The Stonehenge paper is excellent quality and one of my favorite paper companies. So i will play with Gouache on it as well. Now the bad, the brushes are good quality but the double end makes it annoying to store, and use awkward to use when you want to switch back and forth between the sizes. I took the one from the last box, cut it in half and use a pencil extender to make it 2 brushes. I don’t have the desire to store them horizontally, or have one end hidden at the bottom of a vertical storage. I like to see the tip to know what brush I’m reaching for. Love the quality though.

I loved the iridescent paints. The double ended brush is cool but yeah I ate some paint tonight….

Love the paints and the paper (seriously that paper is gorgeous), not a fan of the double ended brushes. I usually leave my brushes to dry hanging bristles down, but can't with these. Storage is also annoying as putting the plastic tubes back on without catching is difficult, and I can't see both ends in my brush cup.
Tho I may take Suzanne's suggestion and cut the brush in half and add pencil extenders. That's would solve my problems nicely.

I am a watercolor painter, anxious to try acrylics, but need a bit more info; do I rinse the brush often, do I add water, or just try to get the brush as dry as possible? Interesting colors to play with. I am also not a fan of dual ended brushes. I will take the advice of a previous post and cut them in half and use the pencil holder.

This was a pretty disappointing box this month. The brand of acrylics chosen is very low end, and I really wish you all would stop providing these garbage quality dual brushes. The overall value of the box is much less than what we paid this month and the fact that there are only a couple more tubes of these very small acrylics in the premium box versus the basic makes me regret having purchased the premium.
While I always appreciate this artist, it would have been nice to see a better primer on using acrylics. I would have loved to see a medium or paste included to help people understand how to add texture and extend their paint, but given the very low quality of the paints, I can understand how that may have been counterproductive.
Don't give up on acrylics in these boxes. But maybe a golden or liquitex endeavor next time please.

I’m not the one you asked, but for me, it’s because they’re a nightmare to store. I store my brushes vertically when not in use, but these have to be stored horizontally. I never reach for the double ended brushes because they simply aren’t where the rest of my brushes are. And this may just be the neurotic watercolorist in me, but it throws off the weight of the brush for me, making it harder to get the correct balance when doing really small details.
