- Ian's "Why can't you just be normal?!" 2010 Grand Cherokee QDII WK, Josh's "Poor high-schooler's" 2001 Cherokee XJ and Bob's "Money hose" 2018 Wrangler Rubicon JL.
Calico, California, Kramer Arch, Calico Mines, Wall Street Canyon. A shake-down run before a group trip to Moab in a few months! And the WK's first trail day.
I couldn't tell you what the other guys are running but here's what I've got installed on my WK in this video:
Wheels: Method 316, 17x8, +25 mm offset, Gloss Titanium
Tires: 32" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 265/70-17 XL
Lift: OME +2" Medium springs & shocks with Rocky Road's front leveling spacers (planning to removing the spacers...the front looks high) and Rocky Road's upper control arms.
Armor: Transmission plate from ASFIR and the the three factory plates. - Авто та транспорт
Great video guys and awesome Jeeps! ❤
Great video guys 👦 👍
Nice Jeeps.
That Quadra-Drive on that wk is a really great invention , It should be zero slip it some maintaince
Hey let me know when your going I'm looking for other WKs to offroad with here in socal
Thanks for the info about WK skid plates - been looking for a long time! Any leads/suggestions for front/rear bumpers? Need better approach and departure angles. I have an ’07 JGC with 3.0l diesel, QD2, 265/70R17 tires, JBA UCA, JCR sliders, six monkeys tire carrier, GDE tune, 2” OME springs/shocks lift. It is a train on four wheels!!
Nice. I haven't done bumpers yet and don't have anything specific on my wishlist. I'd like a rear bumper though.
@@IanJefferys i will post if i find one!
Also core4x4 in the rear to move rear axle back 1" my fender in the front chewed my 34s
love the shit talk lmao
Cool video, what are the specs on the WK? Lift, wheels, tire size?
Thanks, all in the description
Hey Ian I got a question about those Method wheels for the WK. How do you like em? I was thinking of having my factory wheels redone (corrosion under the clear coat) but might buy those if the resto price is too high. Do they balance well?
Can't comment on balancing... I've just never thought of wheels a balance variable. Otherwise though I love em! Looks are great IMO and price is OK.

OK got another question for you Ian. I did some figuring and called the guys at Method. So it seems that the tires will stick out an extra inch due to the 25 mm offset vs the standard 50 mm offset, which puts it pretty close to the edge of the fenders. Mine is not lifted but it is leveled. So the front is higher than OEM by about 19 mm or 3/4". I am using 245/70-17 tires so they are narrower than yours. Did you have any rubbing problems due to the wider stance?
Does this WK have QT2 or QD2 ? 👍🏻
QD2
The guy with the xj 1 thing to have a lifted rig and 1 thing how to use it
What is that cracking sound the wk makes??
It's the rear diff needing a fluid change. Check out my recent vid, I show the difference after service.
@@IanJefferys thanks for the reply. So what is happening inside the diff to make that sound?..just watch you video...thanks so much
@@johanbester4484 When the oil in the differential breaks down over time, the locking mechanism no longer functions correctly. My guess is slipping clutches, but I'm not entirely sure of the process. Fresh correct fluid restores proper function...service interval is about 15,000 miles if i recall.
@@IanJefferys question...I am in South Africa in the Wester Cape area. The place I have is a farm and the one 20 hectares is just like sea sand. Very loose. When will you use low range??
What lift does the wk jeep have ?
2" OME
@@IanJefferys struts and springs are both ome?
