- This is it, the final confrontation, a Wizard Duel no less. Keep your wits and chocolate frogs about you, make no mistake, take a deep breath, and well, have fun!
Oh, and make sure the large marble blocks don't get stuck, like it happened to me at 01:15 If that happens to both of them, you may reload your game right away.
No secrets in this level, and only one Wizard Card to collect is the one you receive for completing the 3 following conditions.
1.Collect 250 Beans
2. Collect every other Wizard Card as shown in the walkthrough
3. Defeat Voldemort
After his is done, enjoy the last secret Wizard Card in your Folio Magi, the bonus cutscene in the end.

Unfortunately not many people can play it nowadays, so hopefully walkthroughs like this can bring the memories back.

I recently tried to install it again on my newer computer. No such luck.
@@zelgadis115I guess that Professor Quirell/Lord Voldemort must be a huge fan of The Exorcist and Scooby Doo on Zombie Island with the way He very creepily turned His head to face Harry Potter.
The part when qurrel twists his head to reveal voldemort scared the shit outa me as a kid and basically meant that voldemort had taken full control of qurrels body at that point

This was a very good series to watch, especially to remind me of how the game used to feel. It took me almost 6 months time to take all of the hp games assets and port them to unity, sort them out and make them usable. It also took me even more time to study unity, and I'm getting a pretty good idea of how i want to structure my game. I honestly dream of the day I remake this HP, and watching these gameplays always motivates me. But the ugly part is I have to learn Blender or Maya for new assets...

1:15 Well, this glitch almost broke the fight. Quirrell's AI was so locked onto pushing that block away that he practically ignored what you were doing. He was still focusing on it even Harry was climbing up to him.

I know this is silly but could do Sorcerer's Stone Walkthrough of the game with better video quality, because I prefer the American version better of the game? It would also help you make sure to get all secrets areas and cards all together while playing it so you don't have to edit it into the video.

I’m finishing my let’s play of this game tomorrow (I have a Windows 7 and surprisingly it still works great) but I watched your videos just to refresh my memory on a few secrets I cldnt remember so I just wanted to say thanks! I also have chamber of secrets and prisoner of Azkaban so I’m hoping those work I can play those again
Watching this now, I think that the developers were inspired by Half Life for this ending. I say this for a few reasons. The first is that, when you're approaching the final chamber with Quirrel, and then Voldemort, you first have to jump across a series of platforms, suspended in an area that's otherwise totally dark. In Half Life, right before the showdown with the final boss of the game, you're sent to a similar area: totally dark, except for a few platforms you have to jump across to reach the teleporter that takes you to the boss. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

That screenshot doesn't give you the full idea of the area, but it's the same concept: an area that's completely dark, with only the platforms you need to reach being illuminated. In this game, there's no other section where the surrounding area is totally blackened. Sure, there's areas where the pits were blackened (with blue sparks in them), but never the entire surrounding area: the areas above the pits were always lit normally. It's only right before the final showdown of the game where we see the area totally shrouded in darkness, same as in Half Life.
The area where you fight Voldemort also has a similar layout to where you fight the Nihilanth (the final boss in Half Life): a circular area with stones spread out evenly around it to provide cover. The main difference being that you don't have to knock pillars onto the Nihilanth, and you don't have to reflect things back at him: you get to just shoot the bastard. I can see why that wouldn't be cool in a game aimed at pre-teens.
Finally, the attacks Voldemort uses are also similar to the two attacks the Nihilanth uses. Voldemort shoots either a quick volley unguided killing curses, or a single, slower, but player seeking killing curse. The Nihilanth uses two attacks: one is a series of fast moving electric bolts, that doesn't follow the player. The second is a slower, player-seeking teleporter. The teleporter itself doesn't hurt you if it hits you, but it always takes you to a chamber full of enemies who do that you then have to work your way out of. While the teleportation wouldn't jive with the Harry Potter setting, the guided missile aspect of it does.
There's nothing in Half Life like the section where Quirrel makes you climb the blocks to reach him, so maybe I'm just reaching, but I also don't think it's actually that far fetched. Half Life came out on November 19th, 1998, and at the time it was as popular as any game had been. This game came out on November 15th, 2001, half a week shy of 3 years later. I don't know when development on this started, but Half Life was still extremely popular in the early 2000s, thanks to mods like Counter Strike and Team Fortress. It's highly likely that the developers for this game played it, and it wouldn't be surprising if it inspired the ending to this game as well.
You know come to think of it, doesn’t the engine that this game ran on (Unreal) and the half life engine (Goldsrc) look almost familiar?

This boss battle actually isn't half bad (I never reached Voldemort in the game myself for some reason).
I remember times when I was a kid, without internet connection, stuck for months at some point in the game, unable to figure out what to do next. Eventually I managed to reach Voldemort, but not-expecting any kind of realistic physics from the game, it took me quite a while to realize you have to align yourself with your opponent, to make the pillars drop in the right direction.
Tbh all sections feel lacklustr in the end after the cloaca in terms of art a content
