MEDICAL ANIMATION TRANSCRIPT: Opioids are drugs that are prescribed to treat moderately severe or severe pain. Examples of these drugs include hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, hydromorphone, and methadone. Heroin, an illegal drug, is also an opioid. In order to understand how opioids work, it’s important to know how your body feels pain. The process begins when something harmful happens to your body. Information about this harm is converted to a nerve signal. The signal passes along nerves to your spinal cord and brain. In your brain, the signal is perceived as pain. Opioid drugs affect how you feel pain. They attach to structures, called opioid receptors. These receptors are found on cells in your brain, spinal cord, and other areas of your body. Opioids act on these receptors to make you feel less pain. These drugs also have different effects in other areas. For example, opioids act on the reward pathway in your brain. This causes a release of a chemical called dopamine that results in a happy feeling, or “high.” Opioids may also cause slower breathing. And, they may cause reduced motion of your intestines, resulting in constipation. For most people, when opioids are taken as prescribed for a short time, they are fairly safe and effective. But, these drugs can be taken in ways that weren’t prescribed, such as taking too many, taking them to get high, or giving them to someone else. Misusing these drugs can raise your risk of developing drug tolerance, dependence, addiction, and overdose. Tolerance means the drug is less effective over time. This can happen when opioid receptors become less sensitive to the effects of the drug. As a result, more of the drug needs to be taken for you to get pain relief. Dependence happens if a person has symptoms when they stop using the drug. When the drug is removed, or withdrawn, you feel sick. This sickness is called withdrawal. Opioid withdrawal has flu-like symptoms that include restlessness and anxiety, muscle aches, inability to sleep, watery eyes and runny nose, nausea and vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea, and dilated, or widened, pupils. Opioid addiction is a brain disease where you have an overwhelming craving for the drug. You can’t stop taking the drug despite the harm it may cause you. Addiction is not the same as dependence. You can be tolerant of a drug or dependent on a drug, without being addicted to it. Finally, opioid overdose is a condition where taking too much of the drug can cause life-threatening symptoms, or even death. The symptoms of opioid overdose can include confusion, feeling very sleepy or not alert, nausea and vomiting, constricted, or small, pupils, unconsciousness, slow or stopped breathing, and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control, over one hundred Americans die each day from opioid overdoses. If you have questions about opioids, or if you or someone close to you needs help for an opioid use disorder, talk to your healthcare provider.

I used to be addicted to hydrocodone. It was never prescribed to me. The withdrawals were sooooo bad…. I can’t explain how bad. It’s like I had to get through not sleeping for a week and a half, with the most restless feeling, and body aches, just to start to get a leg up on quitting them. I actually couldn’t do it. I started taking meth, and that made it a lot easier, and that was a lot easier to quit. No lie. Been clean and sober now for almost 7 years.
luke luke me also almost 7 years never ever wanna feel that way again i am 1 pill away from being addicted just like cigs 1 puff away from being addicted 8 years in august on that CONGRATS

I used to be addicted to fentanyl. I took what i was a Percocet and found out later that it was laced with fentanyl but at that point, it was too late i was already addicted. Literally the worst feeling i’ve ever felt in my life. The withdrawals are unimaginable i literally had every type of symptom at one point I wanted to end all of it but i stayed strong and pushed through. this was only 1 month ago. I hope you will do a video on how pain hijacks the brain. My best friend killed himself because of chronic pain from a terrible accident. He was the toughest guy I knew but the constant agony overwhelmed his life. I wish somebody had understood that pain kills too.

But I have 2 school aged kids, and I can't put that trauma on them, or my husband.. at least for now. Every second of every day is pure torture, I really don't know how much I can take it anymore.
Pain absolutely kills, day by day, or until we can't take it anymore.
I'm so sorry about your best friend. Believe me, if he could have held on any longer to protect the people he loved from the hurt and pain, he would have! The never ending pain becomes all consuming, and it's literally all you can think about, all you want to do is make it stop... It’s a shame doctors do not want to prescribe opioids to people that have legitimate pain issues due to addiction potential. What they don’t seem to care about or understand is that there is no other solution. I would much rather live with addiction then live with chronic pain. They’re pretty much telling patients “oh well deal with it” simply because they think addictions more harmful, it’s stupidity.

I've been on tramadol for what has to be at least a year now. Treatment like radiation therapy and major surgery for S4 cancer left me with damaged nerves that cause a lot of pain, especially when it's time to sleep and I am a total b-word when I don't get enough sleep. These drugs can be abused, but some of us really need them just to function day by day.
How have you been doing on them? I used to be on them for nerve pain but had two seizures off them since that’s a side effect and they didn’t want to prescribe me anything else so now I just deal with the pain the best I can
Are you still using it
yeah tramadol is horrible to get off of too. and its a non narcotic. worse that hydrocodone in my opinion
I was prescribed tramadol for a year too for chronic gastritis pains, I didn't know much about drugs, all I knew was that the drugs are really making me feel good and completely takes the pain away, I didn't realize am developing drug resistance which will later on become dependency, my first experience of withdrawal symptoms I was out visiting a friend for a sleepover and left my pills, I hadn't taken them for about 24 hours, I felt so sick, runny stomach, unexplainable restlessness, abdominal pains, cramps in the stomach, feeling dizzy, I couldn't sleep till morning... First thing I did I got up in the morning and drove back to my place, I took 2 pills and 3 hours later everything was good, I was calm, I was okay as if I am normal. I got worried so I did a research on the drug, I found out that what I was going through was withdrawals and I had developed dependency on the drug, I tried on my own to stop by withdrawals would just be too much... Until I took a decision to seek for professional help, I went through therapy, I got hospitilized and went through detoxification process. I got my life back, it felt like heaven having to live your life without panicking when your box of tramadol is running empty... My psychiatrist said "Tramadol is the worst opiod ever that you can abuse" he said that though it's withdrawals are not deadly, but they definitely extremely terrible. After they took me off tramadol in hospital my withdrawals only last 24 hours, and then after the medication used to treat them started working in my body, and fortunately enough no organs in my body were damaged yet as a result of drug abuse. I am grateful and I so wish everyone with an addiction, dependency or resistance would one day get their lives back!
i was in a horrible car accident and no doctor would prescribe me any pain medications and i couldn’t function as a result. i lost my job and i lost my friends because i couldn’t even leave my house. i’d rather live my life dependent on pain killers than attempt suicide again because the pain was so unfathomable every second of everyday.
I was a heroin addict for 14 years and on methadone for 10.5 yrs, I’ve been clean from heroin since April 2021 & clean from 45ml meth, in November 2021, worst thing I’ve ever done physically, took me months to get over methadone withdrawal!
You stopped cold turkey from 45mg of methadone? Why not go down to 10mg per day (or even 5mg or 2.5mg)? That seems unnecessarily harsh to do that to yourself when you could have tapered down.
I'm so happy that I ended my oxycodone addiction alone... Willpower is the most important thing... The first month was the worst then it got better... Even though I still struggle with depression... And it all started with back surgery and pills called OXYNORM... I ate like candy, but after half a year I said enough and since August 2022 I am clean...
I will say the damage caused by constantly feeding your brain "happy" through chemical use is pretty bad..once your clean some people get to the point they no longer can feel or process "normal" emotions specially pleasure or excitement the lasting effects and damage can be scary..and most often create mental health issues like anxiety and many others, addiction is a very deep science in itself..I pray for those who are actively using.🙏
Indeed thank you for noting that for everybody really helps are youth become more aware and think twice.

They make more money off commissions by prescribing opioids.
you could have had a great time
This person is lying. It is not 1991 anymore. You could get plutonium easier than opioids now. It is just really trendy for people to say they are easy to get because of the "opioid crisis" which is a cultural thing now and if you nod your head and say "hmmm yes i know about that" you seem wise. The people addicted are addicts who were prescribed years ago. Even if you need opioids for chronic pain doctors are unmercifully kicking these patients off them, thanks to addicts who abused the system and dealers. Cut the bs.. doctors rarely prescribe them anymore... Only for cancer and severe pain and not enough to for you to get addicted unless you abuse the prescribed dose.
That's totally incorrect. In Vancouver you can get dillies for two bucks a pop on the street. You could hear roughly 8 calls per 5 minutes for dillies on the downtown Eastside. A friend of mine and I counted as a gag.
@@Ziess1 that is off the street not doctors.. he said from his doctor ( you are a dillie).
People have this stupid idea you can walk into a doctor and get opioids easily. It isnt easy at all to get them off doctors... You cant even get them when you have real pain thanks to addicts abusing the system
Thank you. This was so educational, I'm in Australia and it's becoming a huge problem over here as well. I watch another youtube channel too called 'The Life Boat' that really focuses on educating people on drugs and living happily in sobriety. Recently they have had a lot of shows about Fentanyl. They have a live stream at 5pm (Pacific Time) everyday except Wednesday and Thursday and you can call in live to talk about your experiences and ask the hosts questions. They are extremely knowledgable, helpful with no judgement and I know for a fact they have already saved quite a few lives. It's just a loving, friendly place to go, regardless of what is happening in your life and love helping people.
Your channel and other ones like this are really needed to educate people about this horrific, growing nightmare .. so many people are dying. Thank you again for your video. Please be safe everyone.
Chronic 24 hour pain is such hell. Especially after years of it. What’s worse is wanting so desperately to end it all but not being able to do that to my family especially my grandchildren 😢
I feel your pain. Battling a terminal illness with no cure or treatment. Was on over 200 mg of morphine and fentanyl patches and oxycodone and more as they were just trying to make me comfortable before I would pass away. Now over 10 1/2 years it’s so incredibly hard to stop. The withdrawals had me in cramping mode unable to move off the couch for 3 weeks. Had I known I would live this long I would have come off sooner. My quality of life still sucks as I have autoimmune disease that wrecked half my organs almost 11 years ago and the other half are failing at a painful miserable fast rate. God Bless you.
You are so right.... I've been in chronic pain for 24 years because of Crohn's disease, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis and a few other things because lets add on more issues n make my life more miserable.... sometimes pray I don't wake up in morning... the only thing that keeps me going is my son n opioids.. and now we have to deal with the stigma of these pills because so many people are addicted to it. ... Hydrocodone was prescribed to my dad when he was going through chemo, my dad didn’t like taking them so I innocently started using them not knowing how addictive they were. This was back in 99 so the internet and information about these things were far more obscured. Thankfully I never went through major withdrawals but that was one substance that I really missed when I used them up. I didn’t realize how much I liked them until I didn’t have them, that gave me a profound realization that it was for my best interest that I didn’t pursue trying to get more illegally…it scared me.
Yeah you are extremely lucky it wasnt oxycodone cause youd 100% would have went through withdrawl. Hydrocodone is pretty tame and usually mixed with tylenol not impossible but alot harder to get truly addicted to those..youd got to be swallowing a dozen pills a day

Classifying dependency UNDER addiction is a giant mistake.
It is legal to become addicted to OxyContin but not heroin. Simply because the later isn’t taxed. Food for thought.

I’ve been prescribed a couple of these. After my knee surgery, I took 1 during the first week when pain was at a high. Other than that one, I smoked weed through for pain and it did wonders. I rather smoke than pills.
Smoking made my pain worse. I had a bad trip, became paranoid on the pain and thought it would never go away. Worst 2 hours of my life...
@@rickstevenson267 yeah, it’s definitely not for everyone. My wife has bad anxiety, smoking makes it worse. I also have bad anxiety and weed is perfect for me.
You try CBD?
I was given 4 bottles of oxycontin after brain surgery. When I finished the pain relief I was having bad withdrawals, called Doctor and was told because they were prescribed they could not help me 😕 had to find out from addicts how to deal with withdrawals. That was in the UK.
Oh man :(
That's kinda odd to me. Normally, a doctor would (and should) prescribe that kind of drugs in a form of "dosage plan" or schedule, starting with the minimum necessary dose for a couple of days, then increasing it in small amounts until achieving the desired effect and keeping that dose as low as possible, then as the cause of pain goes away (in your case, the wound healing) also the dose should be decreased to prevent the patient withdrawal effects.
So in a *very, very* hypothetic example instead of taking a full dose every day for 14 days you actually take 1/4 for 4 days, then 1/2 for 4 days, then 3/4 another 4 days, full dose 2 days (or as long as the medic deems necessary for a peak dose), then decrease the amounts by 1/4 every day or two until you no longer need the medication. Opioids are extremely addictive so healthcare personnel would usually have to be very careful with them.
It really sucks to know that was not the case with you 😟 But it's good to know you ended up alright 🙂
I’m so sorry for you Kat .
I hope the pan is all gone now and you’re well. 🤗

I've been addicted to Heroine and opioid one after another. I started Heroine and after some years inorder to get rid of the Heroine I took opioid prescribed by doctor but again unfortunately I misused it which caused me pain in the ass. In fact, it's still causing me pain to this days as I've been clean for 4 days including today and trust me the withdrawal symptoms is so freaking bad that you crave for drug like an handicap person desperate for masturbating but at the same time you don't want to feel or experience the same pain so no matter what you have to overcome it keeping in mind no pain no gain.
I miss my opioid addiction...
Me too
Right, they make life more manageable
Ive been off drugs now for 16 yrs this month. (11-2006 to now 11-2022) I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy on dope, (aka heroin). I was turned onto heroin from using prescription drugs legally. I was a straight up, no nonsense guy. Never broke rules let alone break the law, until I turned to drugs. I was into boxing as a teen, and wrestled in middle school. One day at the gym, I broke my wrist, and the Dr prescribed a strong opioid. The feeling was amazing (at first). Then after a few weeks, to couple months, it turned into maintenance, just to stay functional. The high was gone, and the goal was not to allow my body to get sick, (aka go through withdraws).
I wanted to do special forces, then law enforcement, then be a detective, I dreamed it every day from the time I was a child. All my dreams went out the window the day I started drugs. I ended up getting a 5 year sentence for breaking the law to supply my drug habit. I did 3 1/2 years on that 5 yr sentence, and haven’t did drugs since my release in 2006, Im 42 now and not a day goes by I dont regret making the choice to switch from pills to heroin.
Im telling this story to try and persuade anyone from using drugs, DONT DO IT!! Its not worth it, no drug is.
What about people that have never experienced euphoria after taking opioids?!? I’ve literally been prescribed each drug mentioned and never once gotten high or suffered from withdrawal when suddenly stopping taking them!!
Do a video on panic attack disorder and how to control it in such a situation, please!!

I’ve been on high opioids for 20 years. Such a shame they haven’t figured out a way to make a pain killer minus the addiction issues. Oxy I done in my opinion is the best pain killer out there, but it has a dark side u get addicted very quickly then it starts a hell cycle of trying to stay ahead of withdrawl symptoms that make u wanna die. It’s almost like the ppl who make these drugs don’t wanna look into that 🤔 no addiction less money made
It's actually impossible. Opioids - full or partial agonists - mainly bind to mu receptors to exert the pain-killing process, but alas, the same receptor is responsible for the pleasant effects, also for the partial agonists /antagonist buprenorphine. So there's no analgesia without( at least some) euphoria. The ideal opioid does not exist. You can try with Tapentadol, a stronger form of Tramadol. But they're not opioids properly. They have the same backbone of venlafaxine, an antidepressant, modified to target opioid receptors. But it's too weak if compared to Hydrocodone or Oxycodone. I'm an ex heroin addict, and after a long methadone treatment, I was put on oxycodone since 2013 because of chronic pain. I have have never abused it. I live in Italy and the doctors are more willing to prescribe 5mg or 10mg OxyContin. Pills sold in the street? There's no such thing here.
I wonder if it's possible to create that euphoria without drugs and have it be constant but I guess you would just grow accustomed to it and it wouldn't be euphoric anymore.
Yes it is very possible, learn to play a musical instrument. I am a born musician from a musical family, the only time I don't feel pain is when I practice or am performing. it takes my back and sciatica pain away like it never existed.
I like how the video producer constantly blames the patient for their addiction or misuse even though doctors used to give these out like candy. A simple surgery and they prescribe you 2 bottles of 120 tabs.
But they're not blaming the patient though at most they said that misusing the drug leads to more chance of you beinng addicted. Stop trying push your views everywhere.

I have chronic pain from a motorcycle accident and I have been on and off opiods for 10 years. I keep making the decision to just live in pain and not sleep 2 hours a day, because if I take medication I get stigmatized and treated like a drug addict by society. So I go to rehab and experience 10 days of excruciating agony and get clean and then spend a few years not sleeping till i get back on medication and the cycle continues.

I’m allergic to one form of opioid so avoided them all for many years until I come off a bike quite badly, had endone and I’ve never felt so sick in my life, never again. Was prescribed only ten tablets, well 8 went in the bin.
Funny, how I am capable of having a full-time job and work with pain for decades, yet somehow I'm not responsible enough to have 4-5 painkillers a month. A little reprieve from relentless pain is not that much to ask out of life.
Agreed. I can choose to be a racecar driver or jump out of an airplane but I can't make my own decisions about my health and my body??!!

I understand the withdraw simptoms and why people will continue to take it.
But what are the being high symptoms like. Why do people want to take it. I am not talking about those that live with pain but those that just get addicted
Was expecting a Labrinth soundtrack to play
I've been on methadone pain treatment for over 20 years. I took opioids prescription drugs. I went and had a talk with my doctor at the time and told him I couldn't stay on those they're horrible. So he put me on methadone. I signed a contract when I had to move and find a new doctor. never to get them early or to say I lost them, etc. But I went from 60 mg a day to 20 on my own. instead of getting monthly I now I get them every two months. opioid abuse is very common. Thanks to the pharmaceutical companies whom said they were not addictive. They are responsible for this.
Quitting hydrocodone was the worst feeling in the world. I got put on suboxone and that was the worst mistake of my life!! Wish I had just went thru the withdrawals
Sadly watching my friends go down this path 😔 they used to take percs as an occasional thing. Over a couple months I noticed it was every weekend. Here we are now they're spending over $100 a day on em. They even get what they call fercs (fentanyl with percocet) now. They keep methadone on supply in case they can't find anything else. What happened to just smokin weed?
would you just use weed for life threatening traumatic injuries or terminal cancer
Are they a vegetable?
@@Calbear707trees they're still working and paying bills, I'm just worried it'll get to an even worse point
I’ve been on opioids since 1998. I was on fentanyl for twenty years. I had no bad side effects, about once a year I would take myself off for a week or two to see if I could stand the pain, I couldn’t. The withdrawal sucks, but to me it’s about as bad as a bad case of the flu. Once I was off of it for a month. Psychologically I don’t need it, but I just can’t stand to live in constant chronic pain. I would kill myself. I know many other people that use opioids responsibly for pain and do not become addicts. I think that most people don’t become addicts. I feel terribly sorry for people now that can’t get the pain relief because of the current diatribe against opioids. It’s ridiculous. Alcohol is so much worse yet nobody says anything about that.
Wow Gods amazing and detailed creation! 🙏🏼
Very informative, thank you!
I strongly feel that my opioid is my smart screen!
It should be.
You have choices to do whatever you wanna do just know consequences are following you and the sequences are conning you. (It feels good to hear someone talking about drugs to educate) we learned what 2+2 was.
I’ve had all sorts of opioids (at home and in hospital) prescribed for pain over the last three years, often in pretty high doses, and found that for whatever reason morphine is the only one that gives me any sort of high (not that I abused them or that’s why I took them)
I’ve wondered why that is…
Oxy's wreck me and I love it.
Maybe you react differently to natural vs synthetic opioids. Morphine is a natural opioid so maybe you just react that way to natural ones. Just a guess.
how tf are you getting them prescribed?? I have back problems and all these guys do is prescribe me muscle relaxers which do nothing besides make me drowsy
@@sonderevokingbuns Surgery. So many surgeries.
Also, morphine is more effective for severe pain for me too. Like literally 5mg (IV) knocks it out better than 200mcg of fentanyl (IV).
Muscle relaxers don’t make me drowsy. Neither do opioids, benzos, antihistamines, antidepressants, antipsychotics, actual sleep meds, or literally any drug I’ve had other than general anesthetics. But my body processes drugs weird.
@@sonderevokingbuns maybe you live in a state that has very tight restrictions on narcotic medication.all states aren't making people suffer in pain.
Fentanyl floyd approves this message.
Thank you for these important videos. Please do one for THC and cannabis if you haven’t already as people need to understand weed’s addictive nature.
Weed is not harmful. Do you suggest they do one on coffee?
@@luxconcept it is harmful, take it from someone who’s been in and out of recovery for thc dependency. And yes, they should also do one on caffeine which is an addictive stimulant. Thanks for that excellent suggestion!
Did you get CHS
@@joerogaine7984 nope, actually had to google what that was
It's not even addicting.. just cause your fragile ass doesn't like it doesn't mean it should be demonized
Is this why Rue kept relapsing?
I can’t help but feel for anyone who has legitimate pain and can’t get what they need.
That just proves the fact that I wasn't addicted to painkillers. I was taking them since I was 20 until I was 27 and my pain specialist was telling me that I was addicted. But I had cancer at 20yrs and they gave me the highest strength that you can at 180 pill. And by the end of the time I've seen her I was only taking 30 at the lowest dose that you can get. It's been 4 years and I still haven't had any of those narcotics. Do I miss him some days yeah because paint sucks. But am I addicted I follow the rules of how to take it my mother was a nurse and she taught me to always take less is more. And told me if you can go without then go without. So yeah and addiction runs high in my family. Both my grandma and my dad were addicted to drugs. I think we would have less people with different if they were taught properly. That's just my theory.
I ❤️ opioids
Can we get a video on dandruff and its treatments!
Thank u so much for this amazing information it's very helpful to learn the consept ❤️👍🏻🤗🤗
Also, the longer you use opioids the more opiate receptors that develop, hence, the reason you develop a tolerance and need more. Suboxone actually resets the amount of opiate receptors you have. Sometimes pain management doctors will prescribe Suboxone to reset these receptors in the event that the opiates being prescribed are no longer controlling the pain, therefore, they are no longer effective.
Very nice explains ,Thank you
Why Lots of Doctors continue to prescribe opioids, when they clearly know that person has a big problem?
Sounds like an easy painless way out, instead of rotting away from cancer and choking on pus.
Now Fentanyl is just as addictive as any of the other options. What a difference a year makes. Meth and Fentanyl are firm favourites now.
I never got euphoria from pain killers. Just honest pain relief , but maybe that's addicting
Yeah like water
Learned long ago from an anesthesiologist about the dangers of pain meds. Dosages and location of pain, . If it's not prescribed to me , I don't need it. Great advise that Served me well for 50yrs so far..
Dependence is fundamental to addiction, if you have a problem with opiates reach out to any place of health care and ask for help. I’ve lost everything to these harmful medications
The meds aren't harmful.the way you used them was.can't blame the medication or the doctor if you choose to misuse the meds.jmho
@@pursedelighted9020 actually you can become dependant even without misuse, and it can very much be the doctors fault. These meds can be extremely harmful and even when used right can cause addiction and can ruin someones life. They should be respected greatly, because although they do help with a lot of things and they can be life saving for some people, they also have a very dark side.
I have been on and off hydrocodone since 2012 when i had stage 4 cancer. They have helped me immensely. By the grace of god i am not addicted. That said, they are a tool. Tools can be used incorrectly and cause problems. I am careful with them, and my experience has been and the hospital pain specialist has said take as directed and you wont get addicted. Im sure there are always outliers. Do not demonize medications, its not their fault and some people need them.
@@awesomeblossom1 Exactly, demonizing medication does nothing. You are so right about how they are tools and even great tools can be missused.
I was prescribed hydrocodone after having my wisdom teeth removed roughly 6 years ago. I took it for two days, and then stopped, because I didn't need the strong pain relief that opioids offered anymore. Tylenol alone was enough starting on Day 3. So, I flushed the remaining 28 hydrocodone pills down the toilet. These medicines are only addictive to people who abuse them.
Thats just the short term, it didn't even mention the longterm shutdown of dopamine as a result of taking these type meds/drugs. It can be as long as permanent.
Thank you so much for this video.

Now I’m understanding the show!
In an abundance of caution, a lot of doctors or dentists try to limit the amount of opioids they prescribe to patients. Still there are times when nothing short of opioids are going to cut it - as temporary relief. that's where responsible medical providers need to keep a tight tabs.
BTW, I don't take any drugs without thoroughly checking them out first. If that means not filling a prescription, so be it.
I lost my mom to opioid addiction a year ago 😭
These animations are amazing
Please do explain how dependence differs from addiction.....they're the same thing.
Wow brilliant explanation
I would love information on how opioid antagonists affect the body. Specifically Suboxone. Suboxone, when used properly, can help someone with an opioid addiction get clean. However, the side effects of long-term suboxone use can be quite rough. Hair loss, for example. I'd love more insight into this.
Do some research on kratom.
Suboxone is just as addictive .. big pharma doesnt care about us .. there in it for the money .. when it comes to addiction people will always swap one thing for another .. ive watched heoin addicts get clean and now there addicted to running
Also suboxone does not at all touch my pain, It's only a partial agonist, But if some ppl need subs to stay clean, it's better than being addicted to full agonists like oxy or heroin
Mann, that is so FUCKING GOOD!
What no one talks about is how the people who won’t abuse the drugs and need them are suffering in pain because of the small percent who abuse them. Another example of the tail wagging the dog.
I'm 16 weeks into work cover for a back and rib injury..no one's seems to care I have to take tons of pain killers just to function...16 weeks man..how long can 1 hold on for mentally.....all because of corporate greed....
I am so glad to be Off hydromorph fentanyl patches and restorils aka benzos going to be 4 years clean next year got help with suboxone.
