Hi, thanks for the video. I've just got a Mac mini M1 (always used Windows computers before).
In the older version of Premiere Pro, the Project Settings popped up when creating a new project.
Now I have to create the project and then click on File - Project Settings to open that.
This is ok. However in the Project Settings the choices for Renderer is disabled and "locked" at "Mercury Playback Engine CPU Acceleration (Metal) - Recommended"
Do you know if this is the only choice for a Mac mini M1 running Adobe Premiere Natively?
(Another UA-cam Video recommended the "Mercury Playback Engine Software only").
Personally I would think that the choice predefined now is better than software rendering, though.

I select a clip to import and the CREATE button won't activate. I wind up opening an existing project and doing a Save As.
ETA: Welp, the CREATE button is now magically activating. No idea what the issue was.

Thanks for this, exactly what I needed. I was following some other "Premiere 2022" videos but they had what I guess is the old "new project screen" and it confused the heck out of me. I think I can continue now!

I started my second project but the game changed on starting a new project. The old project is there even though I safely exported it. How do I get rid of the old project so I can start with a blank screen for a new project?
