I go step by step in these videos, so you can see the entire process and use it as a reference for your own bike. Also, check out my Rider Magazine article on this exact Bullet 500 when it was still running. #royalenfield #motorcycle #losangeles
This is one of the best video tutorials I have seen! You've really given me a better understanding of my Royal Enfield 500, year 2000 model. I only picked it up a couple of days ago from Tasmania. Great stuff, thank you so much!!
Thanks, I appreciate that. And enjoy the bike!
@Cycling with Gasoline your videos are proving very helpful. I’m current rebuilding a 2008 model last of the iron barrel. Got a NOS crankshaft from someone who had a spare but I’ve encountered the same problem as you with crankshaft sprocket. The original one won’t fit the new crankshaft so it seems you’ve solved my predicament and I will have to track down the pre 2004 crankshaft sprocket. Cheers and good work on the series.😊
Thanks for watching and I’m glad it helps! And I’m very glad I helped with the sprocket. That was a weird one. Hitchcock’s even changed their website description based on what happened, so people now know what to do
@Cyclingwithgasoline yep was good to find the answer on your video. Now just have to wait for the part. Cheers
Another wonderfully detailed breakdown of your hard work. I love it!! Also, was that a clip from "Snatch"? Love that movie.
Thanks, I really appreciate it! And it’s Ocean’s Eleven.
@@Cyclingwithgasoline Ohhh yea...Oceans Eleven. Now I know that scene.
The original bolts for attaching the main shaft seal have lower head height then the new ones so these MAY be in a way of the clutch basket.
Yes, I checked this and everything clears
Nice and good
Another excellent video, I'm excited at the prospect of seeing the bike finished and running! Hope your cat is doing ok! 🇬🇧
Thanks! And I’m optimistic that it’ll be back on the road soon. The cat is great, too! 🐈
Hey Erik! Excited and inspired by your video! I started working on my bike now. Can you share the part number for the engine sprocket please... making sure I order the right ones. Awesome job!!!
Thanks for watching and good luck! The sprocket I got was specifically for the new crankshaft and won’t fit an OEM 2006 crankshaft. Just be aware - it’s part# 560018
@@Cyclingwithgasoline I am planning to do the same crankshaft. Just getting things on order before I pull everything out. Thanks for the response sir!
Waiting for the next videos🙂!! Hope they are coming soon!
They are! I’ve been out of town for work, so it’s delayed things for a bit. I’m working on the top end this week!
@@Cyclingwithgasoline that's awesome!! Looking forward to it. My bike's top end is off. The crankshaft is shot! Getting my list together to order things from across the pond. Your videos are my best guide! Thank you so much!
@@arvindkumar-kx4ex That’s awesome and I’m glad I can help. I’m trying to keep these as comprehensive and easy to follow as possible.
Great series. Thank you for doing it. QQ: where did you get that plug for the starter hole in the primary case?
Thanks for watching! I got it from Hitchcock’s - accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/accessory-shop/crankshaft-engine/21512
@@Cyclingwithgasoline Thank you. They buried pretty far down in their catalog.....;-)
What's cooking bruv? Eagerly waiting!
Sorry for the delay. I was in and out of town for a couple of weeks for work. And, of course, I ran into another parts issue. The next video should be up on Saturday!
@@Cyclingwithgasoline tomorrow?
