Look, Dragons, imma let you finish, but I am DEFINITELY here for more Griffins-as-the-intelligent-race-of-high-magic-creatures-in-Fantasy. Besides the Black Griffin trilogy, I literally cannot think of another book where I’ve seen it 🤔
@@colleenorourke7199 Oh I definitely love dragons more than griffins, but I so rarely see them portrayed the way I like. I might have to look into the Black Griffin trilogy.
@@RachelTerryAuthor Oh its Mercedes Lackey! Classic. The coverart is PEAK 90s Fantasy Kid Bait ;) But heads up it does have the Mercedes Lackey-problem of shes absolutely allergic to writing any actual ACTION. The whole book is characters talking about major plot-altering events in the future....then scene break to characters talking about events AFTER they happen, off screen. as a kid i was so enamored with the characters and the ideas of the world building i didnt notice, but when i tried to reread one of her books in college i was like, "...waaaaait a minute...." The Black Griffin trilogy was my favorite of hers, tho, maybe that one has more actual action in it? 🤔i haven't tried to re-read it yet but i should. Anyway, i ordered a copy of Talonsister off your recommendation! 👍😀👍 theres a couple used copies on Amazon now, seems like people in the states are slowly waking up to this
@@colleenorourke7199 Oh nice! I always get a little nervous whenever someone checks out a book based on my recommendation 😂 I like it but sometimes I think I have weird taste. And yeah, I need a little bit of action to be shown in there somewhere. But if the characters are great, that's the most important thing for me.
I like that you're uploading these vids. Thank you Rachel :)
@@austinauthor846 You're welcome! I'm trying to be more consistent 😂
