We might have problems with the way THEY SHOWED the events after her fight, which was basically a quick wrap-up to leave all the drama for the other parts, but whoever thinks that the people there are evil or not care about her have clearly been watching a different show

I don't know why everyone in Miyagi-do was surprised to see that Tory returned to Cobra Kai. Yes, when everyone found out about the death of her mother, no one went after her to console her even though she didn't want to, her mother died and everyone continued as if nothing had happened, including Robbie.
that does basically ZERO to make her decision to go with a person she hates, who has hurt her in the past and who is a known criminal... Even if what you implied is true, that they don't care about her, which it isn't true, that still does nothing to excuse her making this decision... Part 2 will, hopefully, give us more insight into what exactly made her go with Krease... because if you or anybody thinks that if Tory, after she walked away from the fight and from the dojo, were to get in contact with Jhonny or Daniel or ANY OF THE PEOPLE that are ON HER SIDE, and have proven to be, and talked a little bit about her situation they would've never removed her spot... They swapped her because she walked away... She has her reasons, she is grieving, sure, but she is the one who slammed the door and went to Krease... So, like I said, hopefully well see the exact words exchanged and the reasons why she would even consider trusting him, again
@@garyclarke9685 Like I said in my comment, they ended the episode without showing much of what happened after she left and straight to showing up at the tournament; there is clearly a bunch of missing time and things that, hopefully for the sake of the story, they are going to show us or tell us about... Because you are right, Robbie spend all day calling her before hand and she didn't pick up, there is no way he didn't do so afterwards or that her other friends and people who care about her didn't try to contact her... Specially for the people talking about how they "replaced her immediately"; there is bunch of time that supposedly passed between that day she walked out and the tourney and if people really think that no one tried to contact her about how she was doing and about keeping her spot on the team, then clearly we are watching a very different show where all our characters apparently are evil... I'm pretty confident that one of the first things we are going to see in Part 2 is scene of Robbie and/or others going: "tha fuck are you doing with them Tory? what happened after that day, I tried to call you, I went to your place..."... The writers HAVE TO fill in the blanks, specially regarding Tory's choice... There needs to be a reason or set up that lead her to make that decision to go with krease; and there is not shot that anybody should think that it is the healthy choice for her... Even if you buy into the "no one went after her after she left, they didn't care about her, they don't care her mom died" BS, there is no shot anyone thinks that Krease and that lady sensei are better people or better for her... They, specially him, have hurt her left and right, and she knows it... she even says so out loud a couple of episodes back

That's a common theme with this show though when there is a time jump nothing is explained like you said the blanks need to be filled in but sometimes they never are. The fact that it has gone unnoticed that johnny Barnes & chozen broke in to silvers home. That carnt go ignored then should be held accountable only that has gone ignored. Maybe when Robbie next talks to tori some things may be explained like Robbie trying to contact her after learning of the news of the death of her mother. I hope so. Too many storylines do get brushed to one side & never explained in detail.
For those agreeing with Johnny about letting her continue to fight Sam. She was being a little bit reckless. The kids, Amanda and Daniel, were even seeing it by watching how Tory was fighting. She wasn't in the right head space to fight in that moment. She could have hurt Sam or even herself. She was legit holding everything in with grief and anger and wouldn't talk to anyone, including Robby, when he had been trying to reach her since the day before. Daniel and Amanda were more worried about Tory with her mental health and well-being as they should. Yes, Johnny knows what it's like to lose his mom, but don't forget Daniel also knows about loss as well he lost his dad at a young age and then lost Mr. Miyagi later in life, who was another father figure to him. He's just as much of a hot head as Johnny and Tory is. I mean, fighting a punching bag/dummy is one thing to let it all out, but to do a 1 on 1 fight match with another student, no, it wasn't the right time to do that. All it takes is 1 reckless move, and it can injure someone badly. Any of your top good athlete coaches in any kind of sport won't let their students practice/compete while they are in a fresh grieving state with anger especially in sports like martial arts/boxing/wrestling/gymnastics/certain dance styles/skating/nascar driving the sports that really focuses on having a clear balance focus. Look what happened when Robby was filled with rage when he fought Miguel in season two at the school. All it took was just the 1 kick that sent Miguel into the hospital with a coma and had to relearn on how to walk. At first, Robby was in control during that fight until that rage fully took over and didn't realize what he had just done until right after he did it. He wanted to finish the fight, but he didn't think it would end in that way.
Johnny was right....Johnny is tight more often than he is wrong....as someone who had a very similar life to Tory's trust me she needed to fight....fighting with supervision would have been the best therapy for her
I disagree. I think it would have been right to let her fight through it, but controlled it more after finding out that her mother passed. We didn't get to see how it would've gone because the Larusso's barged in as always.
Tory never really wanted to leave Cobra Kai in the first place. She even said in season 5 “I’m not a traitor, I’m just not buying what Silver is selling” so she wasn’t against Cobra Kai, just Terry Silver. Her reveal in Season 6 was a great moment but I wasn’t surprised
There is such a thing as controlled anger, something I’m sure that Tori is capable of learning she would have won if they didn’t stop the match. Sam is in her mellow period right now and it’s clear she wasn’t really trying to press Tori for the win.

So, my theory is, Miguel goes off to college, and Robbie joins Johnny in a father-and-son dojo. Robbie has shown, like Johnny, he's a natural teacher. He taught the Cobra Kai's Miyagi-Do techniques; he fell into a mentoring role w/Kenny that mirrors Johnny/Miguel, albeit with less of an age gap.
what do you think happens when Daniel and Johnny find out about Devon's laxatives scandal? I dont think that's going to go over too well with Daniel. And I can see Johnny defending Devon to the death. the writers planted that bomb for a reason. and Remember, Eagle fang still has a spot in the tournament.
They didn't go after Tory because she was so angry and sad. Sometimes you let people grieve in their own way. You don't push your way into their grief. But after a few days, they should have at least reached out to her. Maybe they did, but maybe they will explain that in part 2.

I have to disagree that Daniel should have let Tory fight. In fact, I although I agree with mostly Daniel, I tend to think they both were right and wrong in this situation. Daniel and Amanda were right to stop the fight, because she was not the right state of mind and in a bad place and she was overly aggressive, reckless and unfocused and gave a cheap shot to Sam. No matter what advantage she had, it would have been immoral to let her fight just moments after her mom's death while she's grieving. Where Daniel went wrong was, he should have just postponed the fight rather than cancel it and Amanda should have gone after her to comfort her at least. Johnny was wrong here, and he isn't in good position to give good advice on how to deal with grief since whenever he is sad or grieving, he gets drunk and becomes self-destructive as proven in season 3. Though Johnny did have a point that Daniel worships Mr. Miyagi too much, he was wrong to through his dark past in his face, after Amanda confided in him that it had been affecting Daniel. That was a low blow to Daniel. Daniel was wrong to punch him, but he did at least know he was in the wrong and apologized. Johnny showed restraint not punching him back, but he was wrong to end their partnership after the tournament over it. Hopefully, they can patch things up by the end of the series.

The Daniel hate is absolutely ridiculous and completely blown out of proportion. He was 1000% right to stop the fight, not just because his daughter could have been seriously injured but because Tory wasn't doing karate anymore. Johnny has a poor track record when it comes to parenting, and it really showed here when he opposed Daniel, instead of being responsible by backing him up.
See the one thing that Daniel does is that he forgets that everyone has a past and has lived with regrets or things they did maybe, but honestly, he puts Mr. Miyagi on such a pedestal and thinks he was a great man, but maybe there are parts of his life that helped him and also caused him to become the man that Dainel met years later I mean no one becomes so wise as Mr. Miyagi did without learning some things for himself, he obviously did somethings that probably put him on the path to becoming the peaceful man he was years later, but no one is perfect, and Daniel needs to get that through his head. There's no telling what kind of childhood Mr. Miyagi had or if he was peaceful his whole life. I like this because it humanizes Mr. Miyagi.
Looking forward to the reaction to Next Karate Kid and how that will fit into Cobra Kai. 🐍 Your daughter mentioned Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) has diabetes, which might cause weight fluctuation. I don’t want to speculate if thats the exact cause but the actress has been battling Type 1 since Age 13 and has to wear an insulin pump.

i don’t blame tory at all, not everyone needs/wants to grieve when they lose someone, people handle it in different ways. And also i thought it was weird how daniel was just sitting there saying he doesn’t teach to fight with anger then punches johnny in the face?
True but another way to look at it was this was suppose to determine team leaders. Its not just her state of mind but also Sam's. Sam believes she is friends with Tori and doesn't want to fight her knowing that information. In fact this episode almost shows all the main 4 going in with imbalance in their lives. Miguel most likely feeling he failed and is not going to go to the college he wants. Robby is most likely very worried about Tori. Sam to only gets to become leader because again her fight with Tori is under the wrong circumstances. The first was Tori badly injured her, second the ref cheated for Tori and this time well life cheats Tori. On the flip side Tori is out of balance because she needs to deal with her mother's death as well as it fueling the idea that everyone is against her. Now we go to the teachers. Johnny has it in his head he is playing second fiddle and well having issues of where is place is in everything. Daniel is out of balance because everything he believed in the person he loved so much may not be what it was so yes Johnny brining up and insulting Miyagi well deserves a punch to the face but yes it shows just how imbalanced they all are. Which in every thing in Karate Kid world is about balance, dealing with your fears and mastering them to find balance inside. All five of these episodes is about each character finding who they are, what they are and their paths in life and most of all struggling to find balance.

@@N3onDionYT Robby and Miguel became friends because they released their anger. They used the fight they were in to realize they had no reason to fight. With Tori in this match its more than that. Sam is not fighting for anger she just fighting to be the best. Sam doesn't want to compete with someone she sees as a friend when her friend just lost her mother. They showed that Tori was already out of control with that kick after the point. She had become unstable. True Tori needs to burn off that anger at the world inside of her but without harming someone else. In that fight she was actually unstable and that last strike looked as if she was going to do harm.

They should have gone to check on Tori b4 the fights or at least if they really cared about her went to see her or tried to comfort her when she left after the fight . Then they just replaced her in a heartbeat,They should have let her fight. Kind of pissed me off how they handled that. I am coming from a place where my mom died in the last couple years. They just seemed like they didn't care about Tori at all. I don't blame her for going to Krease and Cobra Kai.

Totally wanted Miguel to win. I hope the story gives him the triumphant moment in the Sekai Taikai. 'Cobra Kai' began as Johnny's and Miguel's story, and when we stick with them, the show is at its best. I believe the writers have been nerfing Miguel ever since he had to be hospitalized. I dont know if its the character or the actor, but Miguel's face has been of someone uninterested in what he's doing since season 4. Samantha's actress hasnt shown amazing acting skills, except from this shot 15:46 where you can read in her eyes she's thinking: "This b**** is prepared to kill me if she has to"

Daniel always says Johnny Has to do compromises with the styles (what he really does ) AND Daniel can’t even accept johnnys training … „that’s not the Miyagi way 🤓🤓“
But yet Daniel did make compromises and tried to find ways to work with Johnny. The problem with Johnny is he is out of balance. He doesn't know what path to take so he goes back to what he knows. Daniel gave Johnny a job, helped give him advice. Both of these characters are hot heads and the point of these episodes is Johnny does not feel he has a place or an identity again. Daniel is wanting to leave behind Karate but wants to honor his teacher and master but with him not sure if Miyagi was truthful has put him out of balance. Even though he has not agreed with Johnny he has found ways to compromise with Johnny. Karate Kid and Miyagi's way is all about finding balance in ones self. If what is in ones heart is good and balanced then Karate is good and life path is good. I am sure Miyagi would say it better.

Well, during the "to fight or not to fight" argument, I was very anti-Johhny. My man was feeding the fire with that question to Amanda. "Are you sure (you are not picking sides)?". Oh yeah, in order to make it fair, let's have teenagers lash out on each other. Very mature. If Johnny really understood how Tory was feeling, he should be the first to not want her to fight; not when she was blinded by her emotions. The girl couldn't tell left from right at that moment.

Why does Everyone just keep assuming Kreese when straight to the airport to flee to South Korea. Ya forgetting the other sensei has a whole private jet she could’ve easily just picked him up and taken him with her considering him getting out of jail happened at the same time the big fight happened.

I still remember way back when this show was first announced. Pretty much everyone thought it was going to be hot, woke garbage and a complete tarnish of the Karate kid franchise. This show had no business being as good as it was/is. Definitely a pleasant surprise.

Johnny was being an idiot in this episode like why would u not back up Daniel to stop the fight when you heard that she lost her mother. There are more important things then winning a tournament like making sure Tory has support to help deal with what she going through. Daniel is in the right you have to stop a fight when someone is emotionally unstable, it like trying to give a gun to an emotionally unstable person both are bad idea because someone will get hurt. If Tory needs to let out her anger use a punching bag instead of another living person.
To be fair to Johnny though, I don’t think he wanted to let her keep fighting because of the tournament. He says he thought that fighting was helping her work through her pain just as he needed to when he lost his mother.

I think u misunderstood Daniel's intent. He wasn't stopping the fight forever, just delaying it until she was in a better place. Additionally, he was never gonna stop her from going into the tournament, just that at this point in time, the tournament and the fight are not important. What's important is her dealing with the loss of her mum in a healthy way. Tory also can't just think of herself. Her little brother also lost his mum, and she has to do what is best for him, so what she needs to do is let the people who care for her support her, but because of Johnny, she rejected all of the support that she needed.

People forget you need Tory or Johnny for a Kreese redemption. It's the whole reason this is mid season and not at the end. Kreese has to do something by the end to change the way he's perceived in the story.
Peyton List really carried this season her acting really was outstanding in this episode just the emotional depth that she brings to her acting it almost at least feels like she’s not acting it almost feels like she really lost her mother for real.

This episode 5. I have some pretty strong opinions on it. It made me cry, I felt so bad for Tory in this episode. Honestly---!!! I really wish Daniel would have stayed out of the fight, and let Tory fight the way she was, in this situation, Johnny was right, she was working through it, and honestly how he expresses how when his mother died, he'd kill to have been on the matt to let it out. But it looks like everyone is playing favorites with Sam and Not Tory. and I know that they just want to help, but Tory is grieving and in pain, she's upset and emotionally angry, and she's lost in her own grief. I couldn't stop crying for Tory. But honestly, she might had open up to everyone after the fight, there's no telling what could have been, but she needed to let that out in her own way and in a healthy way, but now she is back on Cobra Kai's side once again. because she thinks that Daniel and everyone were sticking up for Sam and wanted Sam and there picking favorites. God I am so annoyed with the waiting game now I have to wait till November to watch part 2 of season 6 and then part 3 will be far after new year's.
Krease was in Korea they have no extradition with US neither does Spain. Also Daniel needs to realize not everyone works through everything his way through Miyagi doe. She was working through it like Johnny said.
Daniel was still in the right; it would have been wrong to let her fight when she's just lost her mother and in a bad place mentally. As for Johnny, he's really not in a position to say that, since when he is sad or grieving, he's known to get drunk and self-destruct. Maybe he needs to realize not everybody handles pain his way either.

He has changed since karate has been back into his life .Tory clearly said her mom would have wanted this. She was focused enough to fight, many people express their emotions in different ways, through the season of cobra Kai Tory has always expressed by anger and training. Daniel just thinks he is high and mighty , the thing is we know the philosophical version of miyagi, but we never knew the man in his early year prior to Daniel. Chozen also showed Daniel that here is a side of offense to miyagi do that he was never show because he was to hot headed. I think miyagi true style was cobra Kai with his defensive techniques.

Tory still wasn't in the right state to make that judgment, she needed comfort and a time to grieve and she was too out of control with her aggression she could have seriously hurt Sam. I still stand by that Daniel made the right decision.

It was john kreese plan all along. I think he killed Tori's mother because he knew that Tori would end up coming back cause of the pain and hurt from the death of her mother Tori's would break down and turn that into anger in which the only ways she knows how to release the anger is to fight and not the mayigi do way the Cobra kai way is the way she knows
What is Tory fighting for after they found out her mother died who went after her to check to see if she was ok who went after her to help her who from Miyagi-Do took an interest on her well-being they just announced that Sam was the captain and they didn't reschedule the fight to happen on a later date. She went with Crease because he would choose Tory and they were very quick to forget about her. I don't blame Crease I blame Daniel who got what he wanted and that was for Sam to be the captain even if he didn't say It out loud..

Agree with Malachi on Devon cheating, Would you be ok if 2 of you were in their situation , one does that to another. Tori mom doing good than dies, Krease maybe caused it? Krease told Tori Daniel will do what takes to have his kids win, Daniel stops Tori from punching Sam. No one went to see why Tori not around which someone should of. Think Kenny will make life miserable for Anthony who he thinks did that to him. Devon will probably find out something horrible happens to Anthony because of her. Shane you said at end Mr Miyagi's past on net but who's name did he use? Who called Daniel's wife about Tori mom. So many ifs about this episode, anxious to see next set episodes. devon's cheating is going to be the bomb that breaks up Daniel and Johnny. johnny will probably retart eagle fang and make miguel and devon his captains. daniel will bring in anthony and cobra kai will get kenny. that ticks off all the boxes and sets the stage for all of the major showdowns
I bet you kenny also goes to Cobra kai. We only see 4 total when they do a lineup plus the two teachers. If the asian chick is fighting that makes 5. Kenny is 100% going to show up. I don't think he fully got over all of it then him being sabotaged probably pissed him off to no end.

Fighting a punching bag/dummy is one thing to let it all out, but to do a 1 on 1 fight match with another student, no, it wasn't the right time to do that Tory was not in the right head space. All it takes is 1 reckless move, and it can injure someone badly whether it's your opponent or yourself. ANY of your GOOD athlete coaches in any kind of sport won't let their students practice/compete while they are in a fresh grieving state with anger especially in sports like martial arts/boxing/wrestling/gymnastics/certain dance styles/skating/nascar driving the sports that really focuses on having a clear focus and a mental balance. Look what happened when Robby was filled with rage when he fought Miguel in season two at the school. All it took was just the 1 kick that sent Miguel into the hospital with a coma and had to relearn on how to walk. At first, Robby was in control during that fight until that rage fully took over and didn't realize what he had just done until right after he did it. He wanted to finish the fight, but he didn't think it would end in that way.

Rip to Tory’s mom but Tory is such a hypocrite. Instead of grieving her mother, she rather let the anger consume her and punch her way through the pain. It’ll eventually catch up with her when she has nobody to fight except her demons. People wanted to be there for her but she isolated herself.

I don't know why everyone in Miyagi-do was surprised to see that Tory returned to Cobra Kai. Yes, when everyone found out about the death of her mother, no one went after her to console her even though she didn't want to, her mother died and everyone continued as if nothing had happened, including Robbie.

Because you are right, Robbie spend all day calling her before hand and she didn't pick up, there is no way he didn't do so afterwards or that her other friends and people who care about her didn't try to contact her... Specially for the people talking about how they "replaced her immediately"; there is bunch of time that supposedly passed between that day she walked out and the tourney and if people really think that no one tried to contact her about how she was doing and about keeping her spot on the team, then clearly we are watching a very different show where all our characters apparently are evil... I'm pretty confident that one of the first things we are going to see in Part 2 is scene of Robbie and/or others going: "tha fuck are you doing with them Tory? what happened after that day, I tried to call you, I went to your place..."... The writers HAVE TO fill in the blanks, specially regarding Tory's choice... There needs to be a reason or set up that lead her to make that decision to go with krease; and there is not shot that anybody should think that it is the healthy choice for her... Even if you buy into the "no one went after her after she left, they didn't care about her, they don't care her mom died" BS, there is no shot anyone thinks that Krease and that lady sensei are better people or better for her... That's a common theme with this show though when there is a time jump nothing is explained like you said the blanks need to be filled in but sometimes they never are. The fact that it has gone unnoticed that johnny Barnes & chozen broke in to silvers home. That carnt go ignored then should be held accountable only that has gone ignored. Maybe when Robbie next talks to tori some things may be explained like Robbie trying to contact her after learning of the news of the death of her mother. I hope so. Too many storylines do get brushed to one side & never explained in detail.

There is such a thing as controlled anger, something I’m sure that Tori is capable of learning she would have won if they didn’t stop the match. Sam is in her mellow period right now and it’s clear she wasn’t really trying to press Tori for the win.

So, my theory is, Miguel goes off to college, and Robbie joins Johnny in a father-and-son dojo. Robbie has shown, like Johnny, he's a natural teacher. He taught the Cobra Kai's Miyagi-Do techniques; he fell into a mentoring role w/Kenny that mirrors Johnny/Miguel, albeit with less of an age gap.

I have to disagree that Daniel should have let Tory fight. In fact, I although I agree with mostly Daniel, I tend to think they both were right and wrong in this situation. Daniel and Amanda were right to stop the fight, because she was not the right state of mind and in a bad place and she was overly aggressive, reckless and unfocused and gave a cheap shot to Sam. No matter what advantage she had, it would have been immoral to let her fight just moments after her mom's death while she's grieving. Where Daniel went wrong was, he should have just postponed the fight rather than cancel it and Amanda should have gone after her to comfort her at least. Johnny was wrong here, and he isn't in good position to give good advice on how to deal with grief since whenever he is sad or grieving, he gets drunk and becomes self-destructive as proven in season 3. Though Johnny did have a point that Daniel worships Mr. Miyagi too much, he was wrong to through his dark past in his face, after Amanda confided in him that it had been affecting Daniel. That was a low blow to Daniel. Daniel was wrong to punch him, but he did at least know he was in the wrong and apologized. Johnny showed restraint not punching him back, but he was wrong to end their partnership after the tournament over it. Hopefully, they can patch things up by the end of the series.

The Daniel hate is absolutely ridiculous and completely blown out of proportion.
He was 1000% right to stop the fight, not just because his daughter could have been seriously injured but because Tory wasn't doing karate anymore.
Johnny has a poor track record when it comes to parenting, and it really showed here when he opposed Daniel, instead of being responsible by backing him up.
See the one thing that Daniel does is that he forgets that everyone has a past and has lived with regrets or things they did maybe, but honestly, he puts Mr. Miyagi on such a pedestal and thinks he was a great man, but maybe there are parts of his life that helped him and also caused him to become the man that Dainel met years later I mean no one becomes so wise as Mr. Miyagi did without learning some things for himself, he obviously did somethings that probably put him on the path to becoming the peaceful man he was years later, but no one is perfect, and Daniel needs to get that through his head. There's no telling what kind of childhood Mr. Miyagi had or if he was peaceful his whole life. I like this because it humanizes Mr. Miyagi.

True but another way to look at it was this was suppose to determine team leaders. Its not just her state of mind but also Sam's. Sam believes she is friends with Tori and doesn't want to fight her knowing that information. In fact this episode almost shows all the main 4 going in with imbalance in their lives. Miguel most likely feeling he failed and is not going to go to the college he wants. Robby is most likely very worried about Tori. Sam to only gets to become leader because again her fight with Tori is under the wrong circumstances. The first was Tori badly injured her, second the ref cheated for Tori and this time well life cheats Tori. On the flip side Tori is out of balance because she needs to deal with her mother's death as well as it fueling the idea that everyone is against her. Now we go to the teachers. Johnny has it in his head he is playing second fiddle and well having issues of where is place is in everything. Daniel is out of balance because everything he believed in the person he loved so much may not be what it was so yes Johnny brining up and insulting Miyagi well deserves a punch to the face but yes it shows just how imbalanced they all are. Which in every thing in Karate Kid world is about balance, dealing with your fears and mastering them to find balance inside. All five of these episodes is about each character finding who they are, what they are and their paths in life and most of all struggling to find balance.

Sam is not fighting for anger she just fighting to be the best. Sam doesn't want to compete with someone she sees as a friend when her friend just lost her mother. They showed that Tori was already out of control with that kick after the point. She had become unstable. True Tori needs to burn off that anger at the world inside of her but without harming someone else. In that fight she was actually unstable and that last strike looked as if she was going to do harm.

Totally wanted Miguel to win. I hope the story gives him the triumphant moment in the Sekai Taikai. 'Cobra Kai' began as Johnny's and Miguel's story, and when we stick with them, the show is at its best. I believe the writers have been nerfing Miguel ever since he had to be hospitalized. I dont know if its the character or the actor, but Miguel's face has been of someone uninterested in what he's doing since season 4.

Dude that’s EXACTLY what Daniel did 😭😭 or also the scene were Johnny and Daniel had an argument abt Tory’s mom DANIEL STRIKED FIRST! And that’s where I think we saw Johnny character development really good … he DIDNT even punched Daniel back. Daniel always says Johnny Has to do compromises with the styles (what he really does ) AND Daniel can’t even accept johnnys training … „that’s not the Miyagi way 🤓🤓“
But yet Daniel did make compromises and tried to find ways to work with Johnny. The problem with Johnny is he is out of balance. He doesn't know what path to take so he goes back to what he knows. Daniel gave Johnny a job, helped give him advice. Both of these characters are hot heads and the point of these episodes is Johnny does not feel he has a place or an identity again. Daniel is wanting to leave behind Karate but wants to honor his teacher and master but with him not sure if Miyagi was truthful has put him out of balance. Even though he has not agreed with Johnny he has found ways to compromise with Johnny. Karate Kid and Miyagi's way is all about finding balance in ones self. If what is in ones heart is good and balanced then Karate is good and life path is good. I am sure Miyagi would say it better.

Well, during the "to fight or not to fight" argument, I was very anti-Johhny. My man was feeding the fire with that question to Amanda. "Are you sure (you are not picking sides)?". Johnny was being an idiot in this episode like why would u not back up Daniel to stop the fight when you heard that she lost her mother. There are more important things then winning a tournament like making sure Tory has support to help deal with what she going through. Daniel is in the right you have to stop a fight when someone is emotionally unstable, it like trying to give a gun to an emotionally unstable person both are bad idea because someone will get hurt. If Tory needs to let out her anger use a punching bag instead of another living person.
To be fair to Johnny though, I don’t think he wanted to let her keep fighting because of the tournament. He says he thought that fighting was helping her work through her pain just as he needed to when he lost his mother.

I think u misunderstood Daniel's intent. He wasn't stopping the fight forever, just delaying it until she was in a better place. Additionally, he was never gonna stop her from going into the tournament, just that at this point in time, the tournament and the fight are not important. What's important is her dealing with the loss of her mum in a healthy way. Tory also can't just think of herself. Her little brother also lost his mum, and she has to do what is best for him, so what she needs to do is let the people who care for her support her, but because of Johnny, she rejected all of the support that she needed.

People forget you need Tory or Johnny for a Kreese redemption. It's the whole reason this is mid season and not at the end. Kreese has to do something by the end to change the way he's perceived in the story.
Peyton List really carried this season her acting really was outstanding in this episode just the emotional depth that she brings to her acting it almost at least feels like she’s not acting it almost feels like she really lost her mother for real.

This episode 5. I have some pretty strong opinions on it. It made me cry, I felt so bad for Tory in this episode. Honestly---!!! I really wish Daniel would have stayed out of the fight, and let Tory fight the way she was, in this situation, Johnny was right, she was working through it, and honestly how he expresses how when his mother died, he'd kill to have been on the matt to let it out. But it looks like everyone is playing favorites with Sam and Not Tory. and I know that they just want to help, but Tory is grieving and in pain, she's upset and emotionally angry, and she's lost in her own grief. I couldn't stop crying for Tory. But honestly, she might had open up to everyone after the fight, there's no telling what could have been, but she needed to let that out in her own way and in a healthy way, but now she is back on Cobra Kai's side once again. because she thinks that Daniel and everyone were sticking up for Sam and wanted Sam and there picking favorites.
God I am so annoyed with the waiting game now I have to wait till November to watch part 2 of season 6 and then part 3 will be far after new year's.

She was focused enough to fight, many people express their emotions in different ways, through the season of cobra Kai Tory has always expressed by anger and training. Daniel just thinks he is high and mighty , the thing is we know the philosophical version of miyagi, but we never knew the man in his early year prior to Daniel. Chozen also showed Daniel that here is a side of offense to miyagi do that he was never show because he was to hot headed. I think miyagi true style was cobra Kai with his defensive techniques.

1 on 1 fight match with another student, no, it wasn't the right time to do that Tory was not in the right head space. All it takes is 1 reckless move, and it can injure someone badly whether it's your opponent or yourself. ANY of your GOOD athlete coaches in any kind of sport won't let their students practice/compete while they are in a fresh grieving state with anger especially in sports like martial arts/boxing/wrestling/gymnastics/certain dance styles/skating/nascar driving the sports that really focuses on having a clear focus and a mental balance. Look what happened when Robby was filled with rage when he fought Miguel in season two at the school. All it took was just the 1 kick that sent Miguel into the hospital with a coma and had to relearn on how to walk. At first, Robby was in control during that fight until that rage fully took over and didn't realize what he had just done until right after he did it. He wanted to finish the fight, but he didn't think it would end in that way.
