XL squat stand is a must! 👍 I wish they didn't even offer the small ones. They are kind of pointless.

Good work, brother. 👍 very informative. I’m on the edge of purchasing the G5, looks like lots of value considering the extra weight capacity.
Yes, that one looks like a good choice too! The extra weight capacity and the extra levels are a bonus. The extra levels don't provide more resistance, they just allow you to go up in smaller increments since the tower is the same height across all 3 models. It also has a larger squat stand, but still too small IMO. Thanks for watching!

David, I’m 70 and have gotten weak and walking with a cane. I am going to buy a Total Gym and start using it faithfully. I’m determined to get stronger. Is the Fit model safer for me because it’s made stronger? I’m about 50 lbs overweight also.
The Fit (tinyurl.com/fit-anniv) will support up to 450 lbs and the Apex G3 (amzn.to/3z1hAeN) will support 300 lbs. The Fit has a stronger frame and feels more sturdy, but they are both safe. If you want something in between, the G5 (amzn.to/3uI4Ozp) supports up to 375 lbs and it has a slightly thicker support tower compared to the G3. Hope that helps!

The Ab Crunch attachment for the large-frame models (XLS and Fit) won't work on the Apex models. Hope that helps!

Are the Apex models have the same frame as the Costco TG Extreme ? Im asking to see what attachments are interchangeable, i have the Costco TG EXTREME only thing is it doesn't have the weight bar option. TY for your videos
They are both small frame models, but I can't say for 100% that the attachments on those 2 models are interchangeable. Only the squat stand and toe bar can be used across all the large frame and small frame models. Just an FYI ... the Total Gym Fit will be on sale this coming weekend on QVC, so you might be able to great a screamin' deal on one of those. The sale price is usually around $700-$800. That's quite a bit more than an APEX but about 50%+ off the regular price of the Fit model. Hope that helps!
@@DavidsTotalFitness TY for the quick reply, I'm just starting to get back from a Shoulder injury and been enjoying the Extreme lately, now at 50yr old I find that the high reps or holding for under tension for longer time using the TG been feeling good and can't over train as easily, and if i feel like doing a set of something again just jump on and do a few sets. Like a gorilla use only body weight all day and are very strong.

The weight limit on the model is 325 lbs. For safety, I wouldn't go past that number. The Apex G5 has a weight limit of 375, that would be a better option. Here's a link to that one: amzn.to/3uI4Ozp
