The full broadcast of "Peeping Times" that aired on a national network on January 25, 1978. Co-hosted by Alan Oppenheimer as "Miles Rathbourne" and David Letterman as "Dan Cochran." With the original ads. Produced and Directed by Rudy De Luca and Barry Levinson. Among the writers was Christopher Guest. And Mel Brooks as Adolf Hitler, because of course.
Dave's Ball State fraternity buddy Jeff Lewis told me in November 1997 that the name "Dan Cochran" came from a fellow college friend named Tom Cochran. Tom was a news reporter and appeared on Dave's morning show in late September 1980 to promote a film he did on James Dean.
