Hi David, interesting when you used the term Va Va Voom, do you know the origin of the saying? It’s after the famous Brazilian footballer, Va Va or Vava don’t remember the exact spelling, unbelievably I witnessed him scoring a goal against Scotland at Hampden in a “warm up” friendly on the run up to the 1966 World Cup. A totally pointless anecdote, 😂. Ql the Heur stop watches, I have a 1960’s one which I still use when I’m setting the viscosity for spray painting. A bit bonkers but a very reliable time piece, l still keep it in its original presentation box. All the best
i was wondering if the somewhat racy painting behind david on the wall at the start of the video was a harper canvas... rather than mechanical i've always used radio-controlled watches...i do own lots of clocks but i wouldn't call myself a collector of them... a week or so ago i came across a jaeger-lecoultre sixteen-jewel carriage clock in good order for three pounds in a local charity shop... i bet that it'd have cost me more to buy it at this salubrious emporium... and as for taking the waters i think that i'll stick with aquae arnemetiae. 👋😊
Subtitle; David buys an Omega?😅 The rectangular face would look nice on a shoot. (I'm mostly an auto-winder kinda gal, but i understand the appeal of the wind-ups.)
