I really loved his show. Was funny and qaurky. It was a nice universe to get lost in... Despite it being set in an apocalypse world. They need 5 more seasons of it. :( I really hope another network picks it up.

Netflix is the last place a show would be saved from cancellation.they are notorious for cancelling things regardless of whether it's popular or not.if Netflix made breaking bad it would have been cancelled at the third season.the last man on earth would have been cancelled at the end of the first season if Netflix was involved.netflix creates things it doesn't give a shit to see through.
Hulu is actually the streaming service that keeps this show right now. But yeah, it would have been nice if season 5 could have been brought through a streaming service.

@@EddieMachetti yeah... when I first saw the teaser on TV I felt like... oh, nice premise, but a comedy? So I decided not to watch it. One day I accidently switched to it and I was immediatly hooked by the storytelling even before I noticed it was LMOE. :) The way they present even small storylines, draw characters and mix in serious content every once in a while (Phil's loneliness in the pilot, Phil 2's death, Mikes disappearance at the end of season 2) was so amazing. Especially in the first two seasons.
outside7 Haha same here. I had no intent on watching it at first. I just moved to Tucson over a year ago and I saw the first episode was “Alive In Tucson” so I said what the hell and watched it. Not only does it show spots I go to all the time, but it’s a damn good show! I love the characters so much. It definitely needs to be picked up by Hulu or something so we can see more. I can’t stand Fox for canceling it.

It really sucks that we didn’t get to see that final season but even without it the show was still phenomenal
This is one of many shows I wish didn't get cancelled. When I saw the article online saying that this show was cancelled, I was devastated. And when I showed him the final episode, after he laughed when Tandy said "Oh farts" when seeing all the bunker people, he was shocked. He loved this show too. He and I always got a laugh out of this show. This show was something nice for me and my dad to always do together every week. That and watch Gotham. I really wish the final season was made. We need closure, closure, closure, closure, closure.

It’s a shame the series was cancelled here. This show needed one more season to properly end things. If season 5 did happen, it would’ve ended in 2019 which would’ve been perfect since in season 2, it was revealed that the virus broke out in that year.
Will Forte had two ideas how the final episode would end. One would be of Forte at the office of FOX pitching the show and they say “That’s great, but what is the show about?” Forte sits there for like 3 minutes and says “I don’t know”. The other ending he had in mind was a cat waking up and the whole show was just a dream. Tandy and Carol put a special collar on the cat that grants pets the ability to talk and so it would be a Wizard of Oz ending of the cat explaining the events of the show.
Here’s what I think could’ve happened. Obviously, Carol and Erica would give birth. There could be an episode where the group celebrates the kids’ birthdays. I think Carol should give birth to the first baby boy in the post virus world. I don’t know what they would name him since they already named their second daughter after Mike. When Erica’s birth happens, Mike should be there to support her. Even though they won’t be a couple, he still wants to be there for her. Melissa is happy to see Todd as a father. So happy that she starts considering wanting to have a baby with him again. These thoughts might’ve also happened when they had her babysit during an episode and she was liking it. Pamela, Glen, and Jeremy would return, this time with Glen’s kids. Jasper will show up too after he didn’t find the group in Cancun. When Erica has her baby, Tandy suggests she names her Stacy since that was Phil’s middle name according to his driver’s license, that way Erica can still feel connected to him. Erica, Todd, Melissa, and Gail would reveal that they knew Phil had a middle name despite him saying he didn’t. They reveal he told them after Tandy was kicked out of the group in the first season. Tandy would say “Can you believe that, Carol?” Carol smiles nervously and Tandy realizes she’s known that long too. Tandy gets furious that the whole group knew and never told him or even after Phil died that they never decided to call Tandy “Phil” again. Carol says it was so things wouldn’t get confusing when they talked about times with the other Phil. During the argument, Tandy collapses to the floor not feeling well. At this point, the group found other survivors and doctors are amongst them. Th doctor says that somehow Tandy caught the virus and they have a cure they would like to test on him. In this new group is a woman that will become Mike’s love interest. Tandy’s so sick they’re afraid he might die. Some of the group is still mad at Tandy, but Carol points out he saved the group. Todd asks what she means because he’ll never forget that Tandy tried to leave him in the desert to die. Carol points out Tandy didn’t have the heart to do it. She says he’s the reason they all came to Tucson because of his billboards. If they never met, none of them would be married or have children. Glen would’ve still be stranded on that island. Tandy was the one who saved Gail when she was trapped in that elevator. Tandy knew something was wrong with Karl when no one would believe him. Tandy was even the one to find out radiation was spreading in America. The group realizes Tandy did a lot of good things. The group tries whatever they can to help, but it still seems like he’s going to die. With thinking it might happen, the group thinks about every great moment they had with Tandy. For example, Todd would think about when Tandy tried to take the fall for hiding the bacon he found and when Tandy tried to make Todd think he didn’t kill Pat because he claimed that was the nicest thing anyone ever done for him. Gail thinks about the time she and Tandy were playing with helium to make their voices higher. Melissa thinks about the time Tandy blended in with the Christmas tree in his grass outfit which made them all laugh. Erica would think about when she and Gail were giving him Tequila in the episode they met him and when they were all singing about having frozen pizza. Pamela would think about when they were both singing on the yacht. Mike and Carol would think about every other great memory. We then hear Tandy’s heart monitor flatline. Carol would then take Tandy’s hand and say “Goodbye, Phil”. However, they notice that the only reason the heart monitor flatlined was because the thing fell off Tandy. He walked up. The doctor asks if he feels better. Tandy says “Better? Hardly knew her… Boom”. The group smiles. The doctor says he’ll come up with more samples of the cure and even come up with a vaccine for the children. Yea the group promises they will call Tandy Phil again. Melissa then reveals to Todd she’s pregnant. Years later, the children are playing on a playground as the group watches them. They all decide to sing “closure” which would be perfect since this is how the series closes.
If anyone has a way to contact Will Forte, let him know this idea of mine.

I'm late to this show, but how the hell did they come to the conclusion that it was appropriate to end with a cliff hanger? I don't know, it didn't really feel right with this case. It's not like with a movie or a book when you have to think for yourself and fill in the gaps, it was literally this huge thing they left us with. Ugh, this bugs me a lot. It really just feels extremely unfinished which is sad when the series really grew on you and, in my opinion, got better with each season.

I think the reason Fox cancels sitcoms is because they're not popular enough on CABLE.
Probably because everyone wanted to watch it on Hulu rather than on live television that's what I would have done honestly.

Will Needs to call up Netflix and work a deal with them to continue the show from season 5 and on till he wants to end it. Netflix in a heart beat would fund it and continue the show. They’d love to and it would bring millions more to netflix which is a win win for netflix as well.
