I would pick the Citi Double Cash. It's part of the Citi trifecta and it's more versatile than the current Wells Fargo cards. The Citi trifecta cards are the Double Cash, Custom Cash and Citi Premier. That setup will give 5x on your highest spend category, 3x dinning, groceries, gas, hotels, flights and 2x on everything else. I prefer the Citi trifecta over the Chase trifecta because with Chase you can't book directly with airlines and/or hotels to get good multipliers and the Chase trifecta is also missing the regular grocery category and gas. The best solo 2x card is the PenFed PowerCash. The PowerCash provides great insurances, no foreign transaction fees and 2x back. Thanks for the info 👍

This is a great in depth response! I appreciate the information on the Citi trifecta. I don’t have this one yet but my plan for 2023 was to build this one if the double cash brings on a signup bonus again. I agree with you on your points, only thing I’ll point out is for this video I was trying to focus on a stand alone card, and not part of a trifecta. So for only holding one card, I think the Wells Fargo is a bit better. You’ve definitely sparked my interest on the Citi like I mentioned, so it’s time for me to look into it more. Thank you!

I use chase dreedom unlimited. But what do you spend your rewards on? Just curious. Im saving mine up for what? Not sure yet.

I used to save rewards on the unlimited and flex, and then transfer them over to travel partners with the sapphire preferred. The chase trifect can be extremely powerful this way. However, If only using the unlimited, I would probably just use the cash conversion. But there are a bunch of other options also. Thanks for commenting!

A product change from the active cash to the autograph card. I wonder if I can apply for the active cash again

Are you saying that Wells Fargo automatically upgraded your active cash to the autograph? Because if so that’s very weird and something I’ve never heard of. If you have the autograph, yes you can apply for the active cash. I have both.

I get 100% cash back when I simply use your credit card. Definitely my best financial move for 2023.

Maybe WF just has bed rep...I'd also be tempted to pick Citi.

They definitely do. A lot of others bring up the issues of their sales reps apparently signing clients up without notifying them. Obviously this has ended but definitely a problem.

PayPal? MasterCard instant cash back you don't have to wait 2 weeks and 30 days to get your cash back. Kind of like the Apple card

What is PayPal on regards to? Both cards can be linked to PayPal with no issues…. As for the instant cash back. Is that a cash withdrawal with your credit card you refer to? If so, I would never do that because of the fees. Sorry I’m a little confused on your comment!
