XPulse 230 Top Speed, Highway Performance: Delhi-Ladakh Day 1, Part 1

- "Yaar, let's do Ladakh, ask your office for leaves".
A persistent Tushar kept asking the same question over and over again and I kept on delaying giving him my answer.
Then, one sudden day, I said yes, let's do it and we roped in Yudhvir too. Dates aligned, and we had about a week to figure everything out.
Small bikes only, was the condition. Yudhvir on the Himalayan, Tushar and I on the XPulse.
A few internet searches later, we were more confused than when we started planning.
And then came in Jasveen. A fellow Tiger rider, he had done Ladakh multiple times.
"Take us along", I told him. And he obliged.
Sumit Berry wanted to ride too, and suddenly we were five.
Let's go.
Through this video series, I will try to bring to you glimpses of our ride, our failures, challenges faced and whether a humble 200cc XPulse can do a Delhi-Ladakh-Delhi ride.
In this first episode, we ride from Delhi towards Punjab, first in rain and then in hot and humid weather. How did the XPulse do? Watch to find out.
Thank you so much for giving me your time.
I hope you have a nice day.
Cheers
No bull shit no promotion .... The man is just on point a pro rider and the man knows his stuffs 🔥🔥
Thanks buddy. Am just an average Joe who loves to ride.

Good video. Can you tell me how did you get xpulse 230 as there is only 200cc version is available in market?
Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/kGICyyCXgt4/v-deo.html
Nice video, was waiting for this highway run for long. Thank you!
BTW, did you have to re-calibrate the speedo sensor with the sprocket change?
No. I did not.
As the speedo sensor is connected to front wheel, I don't think we have to change anything.
And he is Back 💥
Looking forward to the future episodes Abhinav.
Next one just went up.
Hi Abhinav Can u do a full detail review on Honda CB200X. Ride safe & Happy Journey
No man. I have zero interest in that bike.
Wow loved this video.....
Never thought you'd take xpulse to Ladakh
Aren't you having difficulty with the rally suspensions especially with the luggage..
The luggage setup looks awesome though.....💙💙
No. I really enjoyed the rally suspension there.
First time seeing Yudhvir smile :)
Haha
Have a safe journey ❤️
I don't know if anyone would read this but here I go anyways.
We were group of 5 when we decided to go to leh in August of 2013. It was all fun and laughter until we had to go through our first hurdle.
Incident 1 - When we were in Ramban 2 civilians died because of a conflict between locals and army and we almost got thrashed by an angry mob of over 50 people with bats and sticks. I think 1 or 2 tourists died in that incident. Had we gotten caught to those mob we would have been dead. A quick curfew was imposed that put the entire of Kashmir in a lockdown. With us a hundred were stuck on road as well. We were made to stay the night in an abandoned factory or such. When we were about to settle in for the night we were instructed to leave from that place to Srinagar. The entire convoy was protected by army with heavy security with serious manpower and firepower. We reached Srinagar and the city was in lockdown and we were not allowed to get in. Remember this was 11:30 in the night. We pushed off another 50 or 60 kms and thankfully came across an amarnath camp where we finally felt safe. The second our head hit the pillow, we were snoring. The following day every town we visited looked like it was in the middle of war with deserted buildings and burning tyres on the middle of the road till we reached Sonmarg
Incident 2 - we got stuck at Chang la while riding back from pangong because of a huge boulder. We did t have enough petrol to go back to pangong. We decided to pitch our tent climbing down of the pass and that night all of us had terrible altitude sickness that I can't even explain. To make matters worse there was a blizzard in the night. Being South Indians without any experience of that chill cold and lack of oxygen, i think we came seriously close to death that night. I somehow got the courage in the middle of the night, super snowy and cold had to make my way to the nearest army camp and veg them for medication. Returned to camp and my friends were super thankful.
Will be riding again to Leh this year with my girlfriend. I'll break 5 coconuts before I start 🤣
Those who made it to the end of thi comment, cheers yo 👍😁
How is the refinement after the piston swap. Can it match with the stock engine in terms of refinement. And can u plz say the approx millage, when crusing at 90. And crusing at 80. Do it differ very much?
It is slightly less refined than the stock engine. I get about 30-33 kmpl.
@@abhinavbhatt thkz man for the fast reply. Following you from the r15 series.... Your contents are so raw... Its just superb 🔥♥️.
How did you get the custom rack please tell me I really need it planning to get the enduro tail lamp
I liked the rearview mirrors on ur xpluse
These are from the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
It's fun when riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow 👍
Which phone holder and charger are you using ?? The setup looks so so neat
This is a GUB phone holder and the charger is generic from a local market. It is trash. Takes forever to charge.
Wish to have a gang like yours one day ☺️
Bhaia maza aagaya....
Thank u..
can you tell us about the map you have been running and which map is better for city, offroad and highways.
I used the most basic map for this trip. Map 1. I usually run Map 4 (most aggressive) on trails. I believe on Map 4 it would be faster than what this video shows.
thanks❤️
I enjoy watching your videos. 😃
Thanks bro
Mind blowing content Bruh 👌 👌
Thanks
You'll blow up in the motor world one day..✌️😁👍
Oh God. I hope not. This is just for fun. Nothing more. The more serious this gets, the more seriously I will have to take it and that will take the fun away.
@@abhinavbhatt it's inevitable, your content are just best. It is only a matter of time.
Keep the contents simple and as raw as it gets. We viewers love to see you having fun and that's how most of us like it.
Thanks man. I always plan to keep it simple.
Can we cruise on 100 all day long in stock xpulse ?
Your said your machine is doing 120 on the highway then I'm wandering how much your friend's Himi is doing on the same road. Would like to know the highway performance of the Himalayan
See, top speed is moot. Yudhvir doesn't let his average speed drop. Even when he is on the brakes, he is still on the throttle. That is why he is always well ahead. He looks a lot faster than the outright speeds he rides at.
Beautiful😍✨❤ bike
Thanks
Even the stock Xpulse 200 itself is superb, best in class pillion comfort, very good power and torque for its price, stress free refined engine, can cruise all day long at 100 and can easily overtake in highways, can achieve a mileage of 54kmpl in highways, very good stability at high speeds, bs6 version has increased low end punch, it's shock absorbers can soak all the potholes on roads, best in class comfort for the rider itself ,we just need to adjust the 9 step monoshock as per the weight you carry. We can utilise the 130mm travel which is best in class. Rally kit can do even more wonders for the XPULSE.
HERO has provided everything in XPULSE.👌
Hero Xpulse 200 is in huge demand in export market also.
how are you getting 53 kmpl in highway at 100? i only got about 27 kmpl
Did your bike face any issues at high altitude?
Just wait for those videos 🤣
Hey i want to know about your luggage set up of xpluse.? Specifically in this trip
It will be covered in the videos.
Fuel economy was exactly what was on my mind 🤌🏾
Will show soon.
This is fantastic. Ride safe.
Thanks buddy.
Bhaiya is on fire 🔥
Thank you
You are doing 105+ on a 90kmph Speed limit highway plus you are not even signalling while overtaking vehicles. Those roads have seen some nasty accidents which do happen because the other one was not paying attention (mostly the buses). Ride safe and happy journey!!
Hi. What handle bar have u installed. And is the riser not a better option ?. Any suggestions
This is taller and wider than a stock handlebar plus riser combo. It is a generic motocross type handlebar.
@@abhinavbhatt is it sturdy enough around corners and straights. I have had an experience the handle bar moving when trying to get the bike on the maon stand. Nice video thou. I am 5.6 is the handle bar a good.option for me and is it stable with the risers
@@abhinavbhatt ur handle looks like the art of motorcycles ones. Is it.
Yeah, it is very sturdy.
@@abhinavbhatt its ? the handle from art of motorcycles . Are the risers also sturdy enough if yes i will go.with it. That height is enough for me. Any suggestion.
Bro mine is stock Xpulse it goes above 120 without socking more petrol 90 is normal daily my ride to Office in Manesar from Chattarpur
Sumit berry the Happiness per km guy i know him he is very active on Happiness Per KM
Yeah.
Can you ask your friend where he bought the mosko Moto bag from? I’m looking to buy.
He got it from the States. Nobody sells it in India.
@@abhinavbhatt Ah! The heartbreak.
Where is the topspeed video. We want to see what it is capable of .
Abhinav bhai which engine oil is good for xpulse ?
Regards
I use Motul 300V2. I haven't used anything else so far. It works well for me
@@abhinavbhatt ok ,
thank you 🤘🏼
Keep going ❤️
How much is the speedo error?
I think u r late for laddak ..cuz rain started over there..and its gonna be muddy..u should avoid manali sarchu road cuz 20km patch was mad up of loos dust..my bikes tyre goes 1foot deep in it...if rain then its gonna be problem. So avoid to go via sarchu...by the way good luck...
Thank you. I rode through that section. No rain. Wait for that interesting video.
Please tell me about your aux light. rather tell us about your riding gears, yudhavir's also...
Generic 2500 aux lights from a local market in Delhi. Will do a video on riding gear.
@@abhinavbhatt Thanks for your reply. Waiting for riding gears interview... it'll be very helpful for us. 👍
Thnx yaar !!
Most welcome.
You made xpulse like , crossfire tracker 250 bro
Where can I find a smaller rear sprocket? I dont mind less torque or acceleration.
Maybe try finding a bigger front sprocket. That might be easier to source.
@@abhinavbhatt Thank you. And amazing video... finished watching it.
This guy has the most south-bombay accent I have ever heard.
Hey Abhinav, did you really delete my comment and suggestion on how to resolve your communication challenge (Sena-Cardo)?
Harsh.....
Now why would I do that?
@@abhinavbhatt May be sucked in the black hole, I shared it last night; Anyhow I need to share a grandfather solution which will improve your riding com with Y and T (incase you have not tried it as yet)
Download an App called 'Discord' > create a voice room >invite T and Y via email/mobile.
As long as you guys have a stable data connection it will work well. Data consumption is negligible.
I am a Sena user as well and this is how I am able to connect with and ride with friends who own Cardo. It is working here in the Himalayas (in most parts) so I guess connectivity will be better elsewhere.
Good thing is that there is no distance limit to this, so if Y disappears beyond the high beam range or the horizon you will still be able to connect and ask him to take it easy :P
Ride safe and have fun!
Nice. This helps. Usually I connect Sena and Cardo with phone pairing mode and it works. But then we can only connect one Cardo and one Sena this way. Does the system you have mentioned let one connect with everyone in the group?
@@abhinavbhatt Sigh...my reply to above disappeared as well- k, in short:
a) Yes if you use the BT pairing for any alien device you can only connect with one unit so don't bother
b) For discord as it is very similar to MS Teams, there is technically no limit for a small/medium rider group size, Just ask Y and T to download the App on their phone and log on to voice room you create over discord (its straightforward). Then connecting their helmets with their phone and you will be in a virtual voice room...
We were using it otherwise for multiplayer online games and it works very well. Only limited to network connection.
Don't worry about data usage- its small package. Disconnect from voice room when you take breaks
Cool. Thanks man.
i also own xpulse nice bike
🔥🔥🔥
Xpulse 250 from the factory would be such a delight right! 😁
300 or 400 would be even nicer.
@@abhinavbhatt That it would. Could cost way more though! I'm thinking from keeping the cost under 2 lakhs!
Can you do a video on modifications on Kushal’s pulse.
Sure. I will cover Tushar's bike.
Love your vlogs straight to the point no bullshit....
Sir , does upgrade makes any different?
Yeah. Snappy performance.
Damn good
Has the bigger rear sprocket reduced top speed of your bike?
I don't know the top speed of the stock bike so can't say, but theoretically, it must have. What is still commendable is the bike took me to 120 kmph without much effort or crouching. And I had luggage strapped on the bike too.
@@abhinavbhatt its 123kmph for the stock bike
@@abhinavbhatt anyways it's tough to ride on 100 kmph at a stretch for long time in indian traffic. And your bike looks great on road, engine sounds stress free compared to stock ones. Normally people use custom built bikes for drag races due to reliability issue, however, the way you are using your bike for long ride proves its supirior built quality.
Thanks buddy.
Bro also do all modified which is possible on himalaya
Will try.
Finally
Please just do test it on all the maps and full throttle please. 😁
Next time will do.
I'm having my new xpulse bs6 my weight is around 60+ and my pillion he's above 70 and my bike took me till 125 top not even 2st service is not done
High, i wish you all a happy travelling. Kindly Fiete
Thank you.
Bro where is your bike's leg-guard?
Threw it away long ago.
@@abhinavbhatt be safe bro, i beleive for safety its must, especially when we travelling on long trip.
It's too ugly. I can't stand it.
Okay 👍, If you ever visited Dharamsala (Himachal), let me know. I live here.
Sure. I visited earlier this year.
Sir make video on your modified r15
Done nothing new to it in a year. Only when I do something to it will I make a video on it.
Where can I get this mirrors,??
KTM service centre. These are Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 mirrors.
@@abhinavbhatt thank you
💥
❤️
🙏🏼👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
🤙🏻
buy CBX 200 and do the same thing, we would really love it
Sure. Who will fund it though? Haha
@@abhinavbhatt I'll personally recommend Honda. Considering the speed at which they launch their vehicles, you could get only honda Activa 6g to experiment for time being. 😀😂
Where is r15 project 🥺
No update
first bhai plz give a heart 🙏🙏
thank you very much bhai 🔥🔥
Sir actually I am also a UA-camr I have 50k subscriber I am getting very less views can u help me out brother ?
I don't know how I can. 50k is a great number. Keep making good content and you will grow organically.
@@abhinavbhatt ok brother
So to recapitulate, there is nothing special about the bike after so called big bore kit... 120 is a pure disappointing number and it climbs in a gradual manner...
Wrong. The bike is running shorter gearing and I wasn't even crouching. And with luggage, the additional weight on the bike was about 115 kg. This is roll on performance. It smokes a stock XPulse with ease.
Wonder when will honda and suzuki get their heads out of their asses and get a drz or a wrf to India.
70% of the Roads are shitty,
even some ajay devgan fans would love them.
Add Yamaha and Kawasaki to the list
