My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Drago's in New Orleans last week, and me, who never liked oysters let my wife talk me into trying one. One week later, I am dreaming about how good these things are!!!!
Although it's been several years, this Texan has made numerous out of the way trips just to eat Drago's Charbroiled Oysters and have recommended often to friends and acquaintances. The aroma of searing hot charbroiled oysters is intoxicating as the open flame grill flares up with juices and overflowing butter. Fun to watch and great to eat. A trip worth making or try cooking at home. Accidentally running across this video brings back many great memories. If your traveling thru the area, make sure to check out Drago's you will be glad you did. Drago's do oysters well!
I didn't have Dragos oysters when I was in NO for a weekend but OMG! Grilled oysters are insane delicious! Now I don't have to go all the way to NO to get some. I'll just order from Drago's!
Best oysters I have ever had ever in my entire life! When I go to N.O. its not to see my sister its really just to go eat Dragos oysters lol I just use her as an excuse :D
I ate here last week I got raw oysters my friend got the chargrilled and I was hating on his oysters they were da BOMB!!! He got his cooked to blacken and mmmm mmmm MMM! And they had the biggest raw oysters I ate being there.

Happy that we can do these at home but we still miss Drago's. Still have the hand painted "Eat oysters, love longer" shell.
