I loved riding RED back in 2022, however it was the worst day for visibility of my entire 30 years of snowboarding. Later in the afternoon I fell hard coming out of the woods onto a cat track and dislocated / broke my shoulder. :( Worst injury of my life. Hours of being dislocated before they put my arm back into the socket. That said the Peeps who pulled me off the mountain were top notch. I believe a ski patrol's name was Cookie. Then at the Kootenay Hospital they were all so damn nice and took great care of me. It's an epic mountain, but I suggest riding when you can see what you are doing.
These types of days are special, enjoy it while you can. I can’t even walk anymore, back problems, I wish I could still go out on days like this…. *any* days.
Rossland and Red are all time. Did my first ski season there back in 16/17 and had the time of my life. Always feels like home going back. Pure joy watching you get stuck in Nick, keep killing it rubber ducky 🤘
always a treat seeing a video from you dawg, been watching since before i started skiing. Always good vibes and incredible riding. Hope to make it out near you someday and experience the endless powder glades. Looks like a dream, keep it up man
Only day I’ve ever been there after about a 2-3ft dump. Riding alone as the wife tapped out after couple days at whitewater. Met some local guys on the chair up Grey, asked if I could tag along, They said if you can keep up no problem. Dudes proceeded to town me into the steepest, deepest tree runs of my life, I will never forget them. After 4 laps I told them thank you and needed to sit down and just ponder how insanely good this place is.
Just got back from Red and Whitewater (Jan 31-Feb 3). Literally WORST outwest trip ever by a mile. Rained every day and the snow was garbage. At least there were no lift lines. Biggest bummer since it was a hike to get there. I know the rain was odd this time of year, but the lower elevations are problematic.
I've never skied or boarded a day in my life (I'm just a golfer that appreciates extreme sports) but your content is always a joy to watch. Your passion and happiness are infectious. This resort looks fucking gnarly lol
I jacked up my leg just before our Ikon RV ski trip through BC so I spent our trip there fixing the heater blower. This is exactly what my wife and son said when they got back to the parking lot covered in powder and with smiles that didn’t come off for two hours.
Don’t go to red mountain. it only has 1 pow day a year and has no terrain diversity, the town is very small and not very accommodating as well as overpriced. The locals are also very rude
Came from Banff in 1991. Did one line down High Spirits, still here 2024. White Water and Fernie get way more snow, but when it dumps, Red can compete with the best hills in NA. You gotta a do a whole year here just to find 20% of all the best spots. We dont share the goods , you gotta go explore to find the gems.
My Detour SteepSteep goggles got scratched. I so bummed about it. Luckly the scratches arent that big and when i use the goggles the scratches are barely visible. Still bummed they got scratched pretty easily
Yo steep steep, Kazakhstan Almaty has a ski resort called Shymbulak, it’s fairly small but has nice off-road. I recommend it, ski pass is only like 10-20 euro for a day
I lived a couple hours south of red in the states in Washington and im still really pissed at myself for not having gone to red mountain before I moved away to Colorado. looked like such a sick mountain and 300x better than the local in Chewelah (49 degrees north)
Can you visit swedish snowpark called Källviken, it's a pretty good park and they have 1 of 2 half pipes in sweden. It would be neat to meet you there.
RED is STEEP steep. I went there once and it had to be the purest skiing I've ever experienced. Totally deserted, too. Hope you guys hit up Rafters afterwards!
@@melonheadgaming4254 For reference I only ever ski during the week and went there a little less than a year ago. Never had to wait for even a single chair. The lifties were happy just to see someone even show up.
If it looks steep on camera you know it's absolutely, incredibly, unfathomably insane.
to be honest, the recent gopro's and wide angle cameras have gotten way better at portraying steepness and height, still looks as steep as a wall
It is actually better than you say.
RED has some of the most pants s***ting inbounds terrain I've seen.
The skyrim music with the snow and trees is just magnificent
so sick
Thanks for coming dude! Pleasure showing you guys around 🫶🏼
Would you wanna host a couple of patrollers from Whitefish?
Shout out the boyssssss unreal collab!!!
I always get so happy when someone else enjoys skiing this much. Your content is amazing.

Those trees are an east coast persons dream. So wide open!🤘
I would die in those glades that you started the video skiing through. Snowboarding through there would be so difficult

I was there back in the late 90`s. Had a blast! Absolutely the steepest tree skiing I have ever done! BC rocks
I have never watched a ski channle that makes me this happy to watch
4:55 man I love how you use language, 'sat on the piece of igneous' lmao
Steep bro my man keep going because content like this is really awesome dude! Ant wait for next time! ❤
When was this shot? Snow in that region has been pretty scarce this year. Just curious.
Good shit my guy! You know its steep when it looks like it on camera and youre basically leaning against the mountain on those doubles.
Giving away my age here, but I had major music flash backs to the Facility in Golden Eye for N64 at 1:25 haha.
I honestly enjoy your content the most I dont know how more people know of you
dude that looks awesome! what a wet dream of a ski resort
No way. I was just there. I saw you in the Rafters Bar but didn't think it was actually steepsteep himself.
Love all your vids always super fun to watch
Much love bro!
when I close my eyes, these are the runs I dream about
Absolutely awesome. Putting this resort on my list for next year! Thanks!!!
That tree skiing is pure bliss

Best part of the day is seeing the upload notification
That's where I learned to ski!

Ya the start of this season was the worst we've had in years, but it just made a comeback last week and now it's beauty skiing
It's always like that
El Nino years are meh.

Yeah this looks absolutely terrible, tourists should continue flocking to Whistler and forgetting the rest of BC exists
you know its steep when it looks steep on a gopro

Yeah what this guy says, go to Revy it's way better there. Lifts are way faster and it actually shows there.
no way did my favorate youtuber make a vide about the ski resort im heading to this weekend
Thats some dreamy skiing
Hey Steepsteep I got an Insta 360 x3 for Christmas and I was wondering what mount you use for your helmet! Thanks and I enjoyed the vid!

Living my dream I love you since the early days man keep killin it!❤
This got me so stoked. And I’m skiing in the rain rn too. That’s hype.
Yessir Elliot the goat my home boy there 😂. Second backflip attempt yesir Elliot
RED is soooo sick!! Was there for a week last year (2024) and we had a blast!! I’m 100% going back 🤘
did you just hit us with the warcraft (humans the sound of it) score to a skiing video? nice choice
Hi. Great video. Loved your pep talk while you were skiing. When was this filmed. Cheers
Can you do a challenge to see who can butter the stiffest skis
Like the skis keep going up in stiffness
My Detour SteepSteep goggles got scratched. I so bummed about it. Luckly the scratches arent that big and when i use the goggles the scratches are barely visible. Still bummed they got scratched pretty easily
Damn. My goggles are so scratched but they are like ten years old lol
“Do you get to the pow district very often? Oh, what am I saying? Of course you don't.”
Someone is gonna hear it from his buddies for turning you on to the secret stashes!! I mean, really? You even showed it on the map! Love Red
Yeah, wtf?
LOVE THE CONTENT BROTHER!

Mom wake up Steepsteep posted☕️
I love all ur videos u undertaned med to try skiing and now its my life i just want to thank u so much!
I was half way through the vid when I realized I could change from 480p to 2160p. Needed to change pants after that
Now that is some steep steep snow and terrain
Best ski channel by far.
Brother, the Good Lord has blessed you with the magical kingdom of perfect trees and pow.
Straight! Blessed bro 🥹🙏
if that was more tracked down it would be dangerous, i love seeing such a weird place that has its little secrets.
... and good luck getting extracted if you make a mistake.
That powder is dreamy!
I’d love to see you guys come to Thredbo during the off season.
I was the chef at the resort.. ride breaks were imminent especially with a dump.. best tree skiing
007 sounds you know its getting spicy
bro warcraft 3 music goes hard @7:17
What’s sticks you riding on?
As a skier and biker you should check out Fabio Wibmer biking down the Streif in Kitzbühl, crazy stuff
This man is in Narnia
Love the vids - How are you riding your 96's in sooo much powder?
Legs were properly crying at the end of the day lol
That’s insane. Great video!

Crazy video makes me wanna start skiing again!
yep "not" going there it must suck
Bro stop making these banger vids your making me jealous and i still need to wait 3 weeks before its. My own turn
This place looks amazing! Need to go!!!! Thanks!
I usually only get to go skiing once or twice a year. Your content really makes me regret that lol
i wonder, Why do u not hae any Lawine equipment with you? isnt there always the risk in places like this?
YUMMY! PLEASE allow me passage from Northern Ontario!
Too bad you didn't come when there was a ton of snow, just got a 30cm dump last weekend
Yooo when r we getting the knuckle huck reaction? 😈🔥
A little Skyrim feel.😂 love it
Why in the opening clip did he sounded exactly like the Outdoor Boys. Even his vocabulary and word inflexion sounded the exact same wtf😂😂
been to the red, nice, now i ski at Kirkwood
Yo steepsteep. U should come to Åre in Sweden and ski
RED is STEEP steep. I went there once and it had to be the purest skiing I've ever experienced. Totally deserted, too. Hope you guys hit up Rafters afterwards!
not so deserted these days
@@melonheadgaming4254 For reference I only ever ski during the week and went there a little less than a year ago. Never had to wait for even a single chair. The lifties were happy just to see someone even show up.

You know it's steep when it looks vertical on the gopro 😂
Need to review Castle Mountain!
Red is a step above big mountain but like red it gets foggy
