- We founded the Clooney Foundation for Justice because we believe in creating a world where human rights are protected and no one is above the law. We believe that justice, like war, must be waged; it doesn’t just happen on its own. So we gather evidence of mass human rights abuses, provide free legal support to victims and work to ensure that perpetrators are held to account.
The fight for justice has some difficult foes and that we are staring down some alarming global trends. Since it was founded CFJ has grown every year, and we now operate in more than 40 countries. We are actively investigating war crimes in Ukraine, monitoring sham trials targeting women and journalists, and fighting back against a global trend of authoritarianism that seeks to punish those who speak truth to power.
For many of the causes we take on, it can be years before we see a clear path to justice - but CFJ continues to work on issues that have long faded from the headlines. This includes representing Yazidi women who were raped and enslaved by ISIS, supporting survivors of atrocities in Congo and Sudan, and battling the epidemic of discrimination and violence against women and girls worldwide.
We are in the fight for justice it for the long haul, no matter how difficult the journey.

It's very noble to fight for those who do not have the resources or the right to lead a « normal » life. As a canadian citizen I feel blessed to be able to make a decent living, own a home, be free to be who I want to be. It's heartbreaking to see reporters in jail, people getting killed every day in war zones, parents who can't feed their kids. In 2018, I had to barricade myself in my legal residence for almost a month in the small town I was living until I could move to a safe place. I believed I was the victim of a horrific hate crime involving the local police who failed to protect me. If I ordered food, the neighbors would tell the delivery people to stop delivering to me. They would scream "I hate you" through the window. These were the 'nicer' things. At 4:00 a.m. one morning, someone tried to enter the property. I was terrified. After I finally left, I continued to be stalked and harassed for over three years evidenced with seven criminal records. As a Ph.D. student I turned to my university for help and the principal officer, a retired superintendent police chief called in a few favors and came back to me with that I had upset my landlord, who happened to be a very high-ranking Freemason and even went into detail about he and other members including the local police, discussed how they were going to deal with me. Of course, he also added, being a Freemason himself, that no one would believe me. He would be right if I hadn't already knew what was happening and as an anthropologist and ethnographer (Oxford) with the help of a private investigator recorded over 95% of what happened to me including recording our conversations. Where did this all happen? In England and Wales Why? Because I was researching child sexual abuse cases committed by Freemasons with me being one of their victims. There are several government reports that have been published in the recent years with a prosecution by Lambeth Council. Research Freemason child sex abuse cases and you can find many now. But what about the police? Google West Mercia freemason lodge. In West Mercia, where I had to protect myself against them, they openly and actively recruit police officers with a lodge dedicated solely to the police. I lived in Shropshire when this happened. And in the UK, if you make a complaint against the police, they investigate themselves. Sky News just reported that hundreds of officers should be sacked for racism and corruption just yesterday. I would also suggest reading the Daniel Morgan report. Freemasons often act above the law, violate the law and infiltrate and manipulate the laws with more and more evidence coming to the surface, myself holding considerable evidence of their corruption. Just to be clear, I do not operate under the influence of conspiracy theories. I am a professional and only consider facts. With white supremacy, women's and LGBT+ rights at the forefront, consideration, at the very least, of those organisations that do not uphold these rights and yet have tremendous power need to be discussed. I have been told I have a 'monster' case but I have also been told 'we fear the repercussions of the Freemasons'. How can justice thrive when those practicing law strongly fear consequences if it is "waged" by a supposedly independent organisation? Amal, George...can you help me take this one on?
