Hey org. Chemistry. I was one of your fun. I usually watching your videos whenever I don't understand my chemistry and physics module I hope you can help me at this problem in physics 🥺🥺
Problem: Smokestack scrubber removes undesirable particles by first adding some excess electrons and then using electric forces to pull the particles out of the air. Consider a soot particle of mass 𝑚𝑠𝑜𝑜𝑡 = 1.0 𝑥 10−12 𝑘𝑔 that travels upward in a smokestack and a charge of 𝑞𝑠𝑜𝑜𝑡 = 1.1 𝑥 10−17𝐶. Assume the electric field in the scrubber is produced by two parallel, square plates of width 𝐿 = 1.0 𝑚 and separation 𝑑 = 0.010 𝑚, with charges ±𝑄. What must be the value of the electric field between the plates so that the force on the soot particle is equal to the weight of the particle? (A real scrubber would use a collection of many pairs of such plates in parallel) What charge Q on the scrubber’s plates is required to produce the electric field in part (a)?
Recognize the Principle (How will you find the magnitude of E) (5 points)
Sketch the Problem (5 points)
Identify the Relationships in part (a) (5 points) -“The formula”
Solution for part (a) (5 points)
Identify the Relationships in part (b) (5 points) -“The formula”

hey Mr JG I always use your videos they are very helpful
Man I love you
I just love you brother
This is good
Nice
Will you be doing videos on Physics 2 material? Or differential equations?
the right triangle trick is good
Brilliant work !! You are an angel for the student community.
I have a question though, im sure im missing something here. you said avg speed is the absolute value of avg velocity. But values of displacement and distance can be totally different, for e.g distance=140 m and displacement=-30 m, in which case avg speed and avg velocity may not have the same magnitude. E.g speed=140/10 secs=14 m/sand velocity=-30/10 secs=-3 m/s.
What application to draw is it? Btw very nice video
Is the velocity for north positive and south negative? What about NE, SE, etc?
Bro you legendary, i feel you have lived since ancient Egypt’s time.
does this playlist for AS Level Physics (9702) covers all the requirements of the syllabus set up by cambridge examinations??
When should i use final - initial and when shall i not
ba't kasi nag engineering pa ako eh. haha charot lang, lods
To the lef to the righ to the eas to the Wes
On the example at 7:13 why don’t you use the Displacement = Xf - Xi formula ? Isn’t that what u need to do to find displacement always?
Omg I have the same problem did u find the answer?
2a. The average speed is 62.5mi/hr
2b. The average velocity is 37.5mi/hr
whats the difference between the net displacement and the delta x which is the change in position? Are they the same?
im just going to ask why did u use law of attraction or smth in the displacement
Good thing that I still have two years left to graduate
3h before my Cambridge maths exam... 😂
How'd you do?
@@iranianintelligenceagency9337 I was aiming for A* but got an A… 🤷♂️still 👌
@@matthieuoogur8750 well done!👍
Sir, i have a wrong perception with respective direction. Please help me to correct in required places
If displacement is shortest distance between two(A,B) points, it will have single direction A to B
And Velocity is displacement/time
velocity should have single direction. Why it is given as velocity can change by changing direction or speed or both.
Velocity can change direction because it is a vector quantity that takes into account both the magnitude and direction of an object's motion. Displacement, on the other hand, is a vector quantity that only considers the change in position of an object from its initial to final position, and therefore has only one direction. When an object changes direction, its velocity vector also changes direction, even if its speed remains constant. This is because velocity is a vector quantity that takes into account both the speed and direction of an object's motion. Displacement, on the other hand, only considers the change in position of an object, and therefore has a single direction.
love you chemistry daddy

14:35, shouldn't this displacement be - 130 since Sally moved west and south which are in the negative directions?
Hi i know it's been a year but can you help me if you know why is it postitve instead of negative?
@@jhaixxinawaj1093 Basically, you can decide what is positive yourself depending on the situation. For example you can make north and east positive while south and west negative. You can also do north and west positive while the opposites are negative. Here, he made south and west positive for simplicity .
@@hmmnotsure Thank you!!
@@jhaixxinawaj1093 Just make sure you don't make both North and South positive, or both East and West positive, because that's not possible

Why do we use 12 as the initial postion instead of -8
may i asked what is the answer of the last given problem which is a bus travels 400miles.............?
I want to know too
Can someone please explain to me why at 1:55 it was minus but he added it??? I learned this before but I forgott
K-F-C = Keep Flip Change is used when finding the difference between integers, 1. You have to keep the first term. 2. You have to flip the sign from "-" to "+" 3. You have to change the signs of the second term into its opposite, so for example (-) to + and + (-) 👍
The second example is wrong because the distance between -4 and 4 is 8 units therefore the distance is equal to 15
Btw he said it’s -4, and 5 so therefor the distance is equal to 16

Why d = rt is same with d =vt?
6:00 I’m so confused
Wasn’t the displacement Calformula
Final position - initial position?
Why did we add then ?
Keep Flip Change/ Keep Change Change
Last part answer pls
Hi can someone help me? I have a person who walks 35m left, then 18m right, then 26m left. Using the displacement formula of final - initial is not working. I know what the answer should be but I cant understand why the final - initial is not working. Can someone please show the correct workings and explain ?
U hav to convert it into a triangle to do Pythagoras
what if both initial vector and final vector is negative in a graph perspective
Well
For example you have the final as -8 and then the initial as -7
Using the formula (final value - the initial value) (Xf-Xo)
It'll be -8-(-7)
=-8(-×-=+) so
-8+7
=-1😊
Done
At 6:16, I thought in order to get the displacement you have to subtract the final position to the initial position. Why is it not 6 - 10? Although it doesn't make any sense, the formula is confusing.
I'm also kind of confused on that but displacement is basically how far you are from your starting position so from that definition, 4 miles is correct.
Displacement = Final - initial so it supposedly D= -6-10 , the answer is -16 , I confused on that I had relied to the formula .
@@Thrive2024 me too i think he made a mistake
bruh u guys completly ignored how it works. displacement = final - initial. Initial was not 10 it was 0, the car just went +10 but started at 0. Final was 4 not -6, the car just went -6 from the +10. displacement = 4 - 0, displacement = 4.
@@hamed7071 can you elaborate a little more?

I disagree about your formula in displacement. It is not accurate, it should be the same with the formula in distance and in respect with the negative and positive application of its direction. e.g. A helicopter wanted to scout a particular area. It travels 10m going east, then it goes 13m going west. Finally, it arrived to its final location 2m going east. Compute the distance and displacement covered by the helicopter.
it is not applicable in this because the answer should be -1
but if i will apply your formula of xfinal-xinitial it would be the answer. Please correct your content. Thank you!
