this helped a lot thank you, and number 4 is my favorite
1 and 5 are pretty cool. Iv'e been playing drums for quite while and I will definitely apply more drags. Definitely adds more definition!
Thanks again. Like how you introduce tools from the old tool kit with new uses. I pretty much always just used drags on the beginning of fills. This lesson inspires me to work on orchestrating them around in my fills more.
Great lesson- reminds me of using ghost notes on the snare drum. Liked all of the exercises.
I do use drags...never really thought to put em on the kick tho, I'll have to mess with that. And #3 and #4 are my favorites. Love the pauses
thanks for those great lessons
5 was great
Beginner/intermediate drummer, your videos are constantly showing me cool new techniques all the time and this one is awesome. Will definitely start practicing these! #3 is very good but my favorite is #4, it's wayyyy funky.
I watch all these videos and I'm just like "Man, I wish I could do that." Then I watch this one and I'm like "Oh, hell yeah! I do this all the time!" The way Jared is playing on the intro is exactly how I play set :D
Very helpful I've been playing over 20 years. To the point and simple
I've done drags before, but never used them in fills. Great video! I liked number 2 the best. Still amazing that you have the same name as me ;)
YOU THE MAN JARED!!!
Continuing the pattern whereby I watch these videos, face palm, and wonder how I played drums for as long as I have without even conceiving these ideas. Great videos as always
Very cool video Jared! And cool ideas
always thank you for your lessons and your work for us all...thank you!
I liked 1 better because it gives you the whole structure. All in all a great lesson. Thanks, Falker!
I like very much this new (for me) approach, thanks for the lessons!! keep uploading please!
number 4 is great but there are all great stuff!
Thanks for the lesson!
Great lessons resently
Amazing stuff that I could never conceive . I am practicing these exercises and my playing is improving noticeably...even when I am playing things other than this. Thank you Jared!!
I did not know about drag's before.. But sometime i used this drag's on my drumfill.. I am so thanksfull for your lesson and give more drumfill concept.. Thanks
I do use them now, great video!

def incorporating it into my playing style... the last one almost had a Tim Alexander feel to it.. def gotta try this and other permutations of it
Great lesson! Can you do another beginners drumfill lesson? I had tons of fun practicing those.
New concept for me, and definately #5 is the best.
The sound coming from those toms man!!
Number 4 is my favorite
I like your way of explaining what it is and how to start using ém. Not news. I liked the #5 - nice salute to heavy metal drumming. ;-)
What's the pedal he's using ?
i like it so much
wow inspiring
EXCELENT, THANK YOU SO MUCH
Loved #4
Does that note with the dash through it represent the whole drags ( RRR ) or is it just the softer notes before the heavy thri
what's different btw double storke and drag storke? is it right that i do drag stroke with kind of released feeling at last ?
In answer to your question: I knew about drags and wanted to incorporate them in fills forever, but it doesn't come out right yet. Thanks to your lesson I might have learned a way or two to do it right.
#4 was awesome! It so... John Bonham like
#5 is cool
Can you break down on how to do the drag?
