What is that at 2:40? Eggs?? But wow you are right it has a lot of fat and the meat looks good too! So much meat in the legs, I need to drop traps and try spider crabs.
I've no idea what it was. It looked like those gooey stuff in rock crabs that would turn rubbery after cooked. I threw it away. A commercial fisherman told me that he gets them from time to time as by catch for dungies. But I was actually going for rock crabs and caught my spider in about 60ft of water in sandy bottom about 100ft away from a rock. That's the only one I ever caught so don't pin your hopes too high :-)
Fish and RIB I seen more spider crabs in Monterey and south, seen spider crabs being caught by fishermen wharf off the pier. I don’t think I’ve ever seen those jelly things on crabs before, very interesting
