I have a nice utility sled that I use to haul firewood from the shed to my house. Last winter I threw some sandbags in it, hooked the rope to my belt, and snowshoed up a hill in deep powder. I guarantee that worked just as well as a Prowler!

Sleds are great and indeed underrated!Last year I could not squat for about 6 months because of a groin injury. I used heavy backward sled dragging as main exercise instead of squats. Surprisingly my quads got even stronger, bigger and my deadliftt went up while my groin was recovering!

I found an elitefts article that, among other stuff, suggested loading the prowler with 100 kg in 10 kg increments, then push it 20 m low handles, 20 m high handles, remove 10 kg and push the same distance there (low handles) and back (high handles), then push 80 kg etc until you pushed the empty Prowler... And you try to do this whole thing (100-0 there and back) as fast as possible. I did it starting with 80 kg and it took my 15 minutes and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Pushing the empty Prowler at the end and you think your legs are going to explode.

I've built a couple of sleds in the back yard. Plywood platform, two stair risers attached to a couple of 4x4s and a double stack of 2x4's on the riser of the stair. Then I load it up with lumber and sandbags. Tow straps rock. Then my wife wanted one and I built one out of a tire and an i-bolt.

I have pushed many a bike to the petrol pump. It has always felt like a walk of shame. Outright embarrassing really but more infuriating than anything since the boys in the dorm just wouldn't bother to fill 'em up on their way back. Degenerates, the lot of 'em. Deserved every ass whoopin' that came their way. Aaaanyways, pushing bikes, at a run, with somebody steering for balance is definitely good money.

Kinda improvising with training at home, because 2020. I noticed that if you step out in a lunge with your back foot against a wall, you can make reps pushing only through your back leg. I think that may be a good way to burn your legs if you are looking to train legs, plus it’s easy to add weight. If anyone else here sees this and tries it, i’d like to know what you think 👍🏻

I live in an appartment and don't own a car to practice pushes or pulls. My living room can barely hold my current set up as it is. For those on a budget and space restriction such as myself -- you have to get as creative as possible. I don't have enough room to do sled pushes in my apartment, but I do work in a warehouse with forklifts. Ours weigh about 8,000lbs each and often times on my leg days, I'll pop them in neutral and push them for about 100 feet for a couple sets.

Hey Brian, I was hoping you could do something about training with low testosterone. I’m only 19 and recently found out I’ve got pretty low testosterone. We’ll be doing more tests to make sure there isn’t a bigger issue at hand, but there’s talk of doing replacement therapy, and I’m not entirely sure the pros weigh out the cons for me. I would just like to hear your thoughts on it and if there’s any other options with less side effects for me.

If you're healthy and can make strength gains I wouldn't worry one bit about your testosterone levels!

Greetings! I have a question. I am considering the heavy weighted (standing arm over arm sled drag) routine into my exercise. Planning to build a huge muscular physique. I am not aiming to be a sprinter or a runner. I want to gain size. I want to be huge and muscular. Will a HEAVY weighted standing arm over arm sled drag exercise hinder mass gain? will it hinder the "bulking" process for muscle building? I keep reading on other forums that weighted sled exercises burn fat and energy and make you lose weight. Will using heavy weights on the sled make you gain mass instead of losing it? Can I do it without losing/burning fat? if yes, how many sets? how far should I drag the sled? Thank you for your kind attention.
