Converting a Hot Bulb Model Engine to a true Diesel Model Engine. Build by Find Hanser Denmark. Bore-Stroke 20 mm-44 mm Web: findsminimodelhotbulbengines.dk
I could listen to that engine run all day. It says something when all the hard work to build these works of wonder comes to life, taking their first breath and continues. Great work, love and appreciation for this wonderful engine. Thank you.
Find, I absolutly admire your craftmanship! Many people have commented on your high quality of work, and I do the same as well as commend you on the engineering aspect of the engine. a mechanical fuel injection system is quite a challenge to design properly so it performs well, and your entire engine has many features I would never think of trying to replicate. The helical gear driven camshaft is excellent. The flywheel is a masterpiece! I hope someday I may be as cunning a craftsman as you!
Hello Sir. Your work is incredible. May I ask you what engines are for sale? I collect vintage steam engines as well as model hit-miss engines and am interested in owning one of your beautiful creations.
What a craftsman you are a Find! I would happily watch a movie with your machines at work, perhaps linked to a small generator or sawmills. In this way, one can see how the machine reacts to stress - it ought to work without problems with your ingenious construction is of the small rotating flywheel. A challenge to you: Can you build such a robust model engine with a grease, so it can go day in and day out and run for example a water pump or alternator?
Wow, that is really lovely to see.. I thought it may need to run at a high RPM to sustain motion, but isn't that just a nice low speed pulse.. Nice work!!!
Most people would think it nearly impossible for hobbyists to build their own injectors for a solid injection diesel engine because of the extremely tight tolerances required in the injection nozzle. Daniel Aquilon of MotorConcept in Switzerland showed that it could be done with his
Your engines are fine art... its a form of art to convert bits of raw metal in to a scale model and even more of an ort to make it run! have you ever published any drawings? Thank you for sharing. Your engines are very inspiring.
Great work on all your engines! Just a thought: Why not replace the power drill for starting by some kind of spring loaded or inertia starter... whose appearance would match the nice work better. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your fine comments, an yes it is water cooled and I do not have any problems with too hot water, perhaps it could be if the engine was under heavy load. Years ago I build some gas engines, one with high tension ignition and one with hot tube ignition, but my interest is hot bulb or diesel engines.
Thank you for your fine comment. The reason for clamping is, if I do not , the engine will run away, it must be the high compression. I thing I got the diesel engines running at least because of my experiences with my hot bulb engines. If you would like to know more about my model building, please visit the internet craftsmanship museum, where I got member 2010
Yeah, that would be the kicker.. a tiny barring motor! I'd also love to see an upright twin or triple, with a little set of steps and a catwalk.. with a tiny model of Find with an even tinier oilcan.
The fucking OILER is a work of art!
Even the oil can is a work of art. Amazing!
No matter how many times I watch these videos, I'm fascinated by the whole thing..The craftsmanship is just top notch..
Your voice is very likely an dear old friend Hugh finn. He loved vintage engines to. Thanks
