Diana Taurasi is currently hurt. If she wanted to cement her legacy, she should have press conference and say I am giving up my spot for the future of women’s basketball. I yield my spot to Caitlin Clark
DT is doing fine. She seems to have some back injury, but I've seen her goof around with players on the court after her injury announcement. She is resting for the Olympics. Even if DT is not good enough for Paris, I doubt she would have such press conference.

In the Indiana Fever game against Washington, Caitlyn Clark pushed Washington’s guard (Vanloo) when the ball wasn’t in play, which wasn’t a basketball play, “hint”. Did anyone notice that there wasn’t an uproar by the Clark news media like they did against Chennedy Carter who also did a non-basketball play (hip check) against Clark? Ok, Vanloo didn’t do a fake flop down to the ground like Clark did to sell the foul to the ref’s.
CC also mocked (Vanloo) for supposedly fake flopping, just like Dijonai Carrington did to Caitlyn in the last game between Connecticut and Indiana, but the Clark news media didn’t show that, even if the media talked about the push or flopping gesture that Clark did last night, none of the Clark news media would actually replay the push or fake flopping gesture that Clark did.
I did a video on that and I never cared that Carrington did it in first place so I’m not sure your issue

Ok if you’re gonna talk about this let’s be honest about it. Clark did shove vanloo but vanloo was physically bodying her while the ball wasn’t in play. Vanloo initiated the contact and then Caitlin shoved her. Stop acting like it’s the same thing as what Carter did. Carter cheap shotted from behind without caitlin provoking. It’s not the same. We aren’t stupid. Also when DC mocked Clark, Clark had a reaction to being fouled, Vanloo flopped to sell it. She knew what she was doing and she was trying to get Clark out of the game. Smart on vanloos part because EVERYONE knows CC is the main threat.

Video evidence of Reese being given a foul shot when her double/double streak was in jeopardy is very telling. The opposing team didn't need to foul, and the ref didn't need to call it, but they all colluded to do it! That is called a "fix" and a lot of people were involved! Consider, that gambling over the WNBA is way up which might raise suspicion the games themselves are corrupted. Think Christy Sides "irrational" coaching decisions. An investigation might be in order.

The selection for the Olympic team is not being created at this moment. It was created using the method that was used for prior squads. Are we a group that bows to social media platform pressure just because it seems to have grown a voice?

No doubt Caitlin Clark, the most popular women's player of all-time, belongs on the USA Olympic Team. CC leads the WNBA in points generated & earned the only rookie TrDb in history while breaking the prior rookie record (3) in PTS/AST DbDb (5) in 6 games including 4 in a row. CC (2nd now) will almost certainly lead the WNBA in AST while breaking the all-time record in AST (316) & APG (8.1), Caitlin will also almost certainly achieve the 1st ever 16+PTS, 8+AST and 6+REB season in WNBA history. We may have the greatest passer (CC) & rebounder (AR) of all-time in the same rookie class.
CC’s my favorite player, but, nah. Being on an Olympic team, because the public begged the committee to pick them is crazy. That’s not gonna be awkward at all!
If you also put Angel Reese in the Olympic Team, it would be a disgrace when she misses her shots within 2-3 feet from the rim ( the viewing public will think that the USA team is a joke and trash). On the other hand, if you put Caitlin Clark in the team, the viewing public will be excited and awed by the talent the USA Team has with Caitlin Clark dishing amazing dimes of assists, running the pace of the game, and be blown by 3-logo shots while being face guarded.

If you compare the overall stats (FG%, 3P%, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals avg. per game) of the guards on the Olympic Team, one could make the case that she stacks up as good as any them. I believe she leads these guards in assists, rebounds, steals and blocks per game. Not at the bottom in FG%, or 3 point %. She has also already faced more defensive pressure this year than any of them. Nothing against the guards that made the team as they are all outstanding players, but it is not CCs skill that keeps her off the team.

My son been asking for Space Jam 3 stary Caitlin Clark for awhile now. He wants them to recreate that scene with with Michael's secret stuff to be Caitlin's secret stuff.
The players on the Olympic team should be clamoring for Clark to be on the Olympic Team. She would make their lives so much easier as she dished assists out to them for easy shots and running the break. They seem to not realize how much she would elevate THEIR games. Sad.

When the TEAM USA announced their decision, I thought CC just didn't have enough to earn her spot. But looking at how she plays these days, CC definitely belong. CC is arguably the best pg in WNBA right now.

The US women's team needs to take a look at the 04 men's team. Your boy James, Iverson, Wade, Anthony, Duncan... No way this team can lose.
They lost a warm-up game vs Spain.
They got destroyed by Porto Rico. Losing by 19 points.
They lost to Lithuania.
They lost to Argentina.
The bronze medal disappointments are an embarrassment to USA men's basketball. More embarrassing than the US Women's team getting blown out by 15-year-olds, at least the women had the excuse of not playing full out.
This team can lose, and will if they continue with this cavalier attitude. Taking 42-year-olds for legacy, taking injured players because of past popularity, etc... They already have a large percentage of the fan base rooting against them in the all-star game. If they aren't careful, this could be really, really bad for them.
Every game, Caitlin makes the decision to not select her look dumber and dumberer.

No, she shouldn't. The olympic team isn't going to run a one pass and shoot system where every play is run through CC. The bigs won't allow CC to come into the lane and take a rebound from their hands. She has to play defense first. They're not interested in trading buckets like Indiana. Her toxic fans would make it a circus. Nobody needs that. Let's see how successful Indiana is during the off-season on getting anybody any good to come there. Whoever one wants to blame doesn't change the elephant in the room.
Sorry but I truly now believe that CC not making the Olympics team yes is a miss but is truly the best thing for her and the Fever.
It gives them the whole month to rest and recover for the second half of the season. That entire month to work and practice as a team on their chemistry, defense and plays so that when they come back from break they have the best possible chance to be in their top form to win as much of their remaining games to get up as high as possible in the ranking m, the top 5 or 6 rank giving them the best chance in the playoffs to win in round 1 to get to round 2 giving them an actual chance to make it to the finals in the championships making it possible for them to actually win a championship this year.
This also comes with them hoping getting a new coach over the Olympic break. It also helps to make sure that no one on the fever gets injured, best form and able to work on what they need to. Nalyssa her free throws and defense, CC her mid range game and ball handling skills, Mitchell her defense, Katie Lou her 3pt shot and defense, Dantas getting her fitted into playing in the team style, conditioned and chemistry, Wheeler (if sides remains you know she is going to play so…) her finishing at the rim; her layups; Boston her ball handling at the rim so she doesn’t foul, grade playing with the team to get her chemistry with the team going so she can play back up PG when needed, Lexie on her fundamentals hitting her 3pt shot more consistently from anywhere on the 3pt line, Victaria working on playing with the team as well to gain her chemistry with the team, chemistry with Clark to be able to learn each other to be able to play pick and roll, etc. A whole lot can be worked on and developed for a team in just one month, they could easily come out of this break looking like an elite top tier team.
This is a big opportunity for them that they can use and more important then going to the Olympics if they can truly make a run not just for the playoffs but to get to the championships and have a shot at pulling off the upset of the season and bringing it home.
Thats fine by me, they would never give her the ball anyway. I won't be watching any Womens Basketball anyway, only reason I would is because of CC.
This is a tired subject IMO. I don't know if she "should" or not. You can justify it any way. But what's bets for Caitlin is this long Olympic break to rest and work on some aspects of her game. Going to Paris wouldn't be good for her so I'm relieved that she doesn't have to go and just be used as a marketing tool there.

Space Jam 2 was a complete failure, so much so they would never think about making a 3rd version. A bank account pulls more profit than that movie did. Had they waited to make it with Clark, it would have made serious money. James is just not the draw you believe him to be. Softening up the league, so offense was easier, and defense is near nonexistent may have made his career, but it hurt his legacy.

Well sir, I watched oscar robertson, wilt, bill russell, elgin baylor, bob pettit in their prime. Claiming MJ is the greatest, or labron, shows some sheer intellectual shallowness. And they're just my shortlist: Pettet avg a season double double every year with single seaon highs in scoring of over 30 and a reb avg of over 20 per game. Plus he was white, a shocker in this hypersensitive age of color. Espn "experts" don't have clue or appreciation for nba history.

Also why is 10 that much better than 9? Yesterday Reese was sitting at 9 points which is a below average game by any good player's standards.
