American Family Discovers UNDER GROUND RIVER! Palawan, Philippines!

- We had an awesome time at the Puerto Princesa Subterranean National Park in the Philippines. We heard from quite a few people that we needed to visit there and they were right on. It was such a beautiful river and cave, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The natural monuments, statues, and artwork were absolutely beautiful. We have never seen so many stalagmites and stalactites, especially that big and spectacular.
There were also so many bats in the cave! They flew overhead in quite a few parts of the cave. Come to find out, there are seven species that live in these caves, three of which are only found in these caves. Amazing!
The cave goes back 8.2 kilometers, 4.2 of which are navigable by boat. The lower part of the river flows right into the sea, creating brackish water and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the cave is astounding.
As part of the tour you are able to listen to a guided tour. It was very well done and even captivated our five-year-old. The music was beautiful and the information was so informative. It was fun to discover what explores have named the different stalactites and stalagmites. Many of them are Christian-based (The Nativity, The Three Wise Men, The Last Supper, and more). As we looked at the one named after the Nativity, we felt like you could really see Jesus Christ, Mary, and Joseph. It was really cool.
In addition to the caves, we were able to enjoy a delicious lunch, boat ride (you may want to bring earplugs!), and a beautiful drive to the beach.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Truly, a natural wonder of the world!

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Philippines is the Tubbataha Reefs in Palawan.
It is considered as the world's center for biodiversity and a National Treasure of the Philippines.
Someday, I hope your family gets to visit the place too.
theres a lot of species that live in that sea of tubatahha reef they say since noah ark the garden eden was sink in that sea of philippines under tubatahha reed that is why a lot of species as compare to other country was found in that sea

What a lovely family with five children. I got excited and followed your other videos after stumbling on your video at the Temple and at rhe Manila American cemetery Memorial. Yes, they need to do something about the engines fitted in some _bancas_ (boats with outriggers), or provide visitors with earmuffs at least.
*Tricycles* - Those are our traditional FIlipino tricycles and they're modified such that those in Palawan look distinct and different from Metro Manila, or Cagayan de Oro for example.
There's a new type that have started plying our streets with the brand name _Tuktuk_ similar in structure to the real tuktuks of Thailand and other SEAsian neighbors, however. But the form is different.
Elsewhere or wherever you find yourselves in your stay here and If you want to be quickly understood by the locals and be specific about which mode of transporation you mean, do ask for the _tricycle_ :)
To look for "tuktuk" in most towns will get you blank stares.

There's a fossilized skeleton of a sea cow exposed on the wall of that cave. It was estimated to be 23 million years old, if I remember that right. Did you not see it? Anyway, that's a very nice tour you did there, guys👍👍

Toktok is Thailand. In the Philippines it is called Rela/Motorela/tricycle. unlike Toktok, motorela is just a motorcycle with sidecar. It cannot reverse drive like toktok.

American family explores Underground River in Palawan. So amazed but disgusted with the loud boats while going there.
Try the Tamilok and Corcodile sisig. Thwy have that at Kinabutch. You can also visit Bakers Hill and Mitra farm (they have zipline there). Do the island hopping at honda bay.

Where did you stay in PP? Where did you book the cave tour? Do they provide the transportation? How much was the tour etc?
We use that kind of engine for boats so that the boat can fight that deriction against waves and wind. If not you might not arrive to your destination.
